Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I brought back AP after a 20 break in our province (Quebec) there's is a lot of IPSC match, some die hard PPC guys still doing there things each match we manage to have between 14 to 16 people and it's probably the maximum for the range we have but we draw shooters from the IPSC and PPC so this seems to be going in the right direction even if it's a hard discipline and it's enough to keep me motivated to put on matches I'm glad i have a couple of people motivated to do this , cause i've shot ipsc for the last 10 years and i just stopped, i've probably had stopped competition if we had not started AP and Steel challenge
  2. I know it's a little far from the states but we are holding 3 full match in Granby ,canada May14th August 27th October 1st Stages are Barricades, Falling Plates, Practical and Speed Load Challenge since we don't have the mover
  3. well i'm on the canadian side of the border....that sucks
  4. I am fairly new to NRA action got burned out shooting IPSC for the last 10 years and i wanted to start having fun again shooting The gang at my club started Steel Challenge and i added NRA action i bought a STI trojan 6 in for metallic and i liked it , best score in metallic 1868 140x production glock 34 best score 1841 132x but one guy offer me this big old gun a 686-3 with a custom 6 inch barrel integral comp big butt grip to go prone and a huge gilmore mover dot ( that thing is bigger that my first tv) with my cast 158 gr hi-tek coated 3.5 gr TG in a starline case it shoot like a laser beam i might go with some hornady 158 or if you have a better load just post it never shoot a match with it but i have cleaned the plate , lost 4 in the practical i have some zeroing to do in the barricade
  5. i have the same problem with the barricade i'm shooting 2 inches high on all 4 distances would it be better to give 4 click down on my gilmore for the barricade on the practical i usually drop 2 or 4 points i shoot a 686 open with a old school gilmore
  6. i shoot a lot of steel challenge , uspsa and nra action i'm a newb with a open gun
  7. well i just shot my new-old open wheelgun and i liked it i lost 4 points at the barricade lost 12 points on the practical ----stupid weakhand---and i should learn to go prone at 25 (6-8points clean the plates and instead of the mover we do the speed load event at 10-15-20-25 , basically the same distances as the mover lost 4 points on that weak hand at 10 again usually i shoot metallic with a trojan 6 9mm the best i did was 1878-143x so i figure i can post better score in open with a little practice( shot 1900 tonight)
  8. Hello I just bought a open 686 with a gilmore lead adjustable i don't have acces to a mover .....so i'm wondering about the adjustment do you have to make adjustment for all distances or it's the same ..... thanks
  9. how do you do the math on that matter i don't get it
  10. why some shooters has 53 x on the plates 480 - 39 480 - 44 474 - 35 480 - 53 1914 - 166

June 15th 2014 multigun match in ALBURG VT you will need 100 pistol 60 rifle 50 birdshot 5 slug plus 40$ if you planning on shooting please contact Frank Crcek or Philippe Proulx for registration frankjcrcek@yahoo.com philproulx@msn.com Rules are FHN 3 gun but scoring is different .....a MISS =5 sec penalty .....2 DELTA on USPSA/IPSC target = 2 sec penalty
  14. got out to test the spartan with the action shroud i got the ejection pattern ok but i think i'll have to give the Kart barrel a little bit of head space the empty brass get stuck in the chamber and the are hard to get out really interesting feeling of shooting the barricades with the wings
