  1. Here's a link http://www.ecemedia.de/lutkat/infografik/iactive.html My new open gun by Metal Storm http://www.wired.com/news/images/full/metal_storm5_f.jpg Alan
  2. The contingency plans for matches and series sponsor for point series On the contingency part. While I do not shoot an STI, I do think Dave's contingency program is a great approach and I would like to see more vendors/manufacturers start contingency plans. I have seen it work in the SCORE off-road racing series. I think the point series would benefit from a series sponsor ala the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup model. There could be series sponsers for each division, or if a sponsor was able to do so they could spoonsor the whole point series.
  3. L9X25 Yes that is a good start. Alan
  4. Jake, Actually am looking deeeper as to what the community at large thinks. Yes at the surface it does seem pretty cut and dry. But, why do we have classifications and what purpose do they serve and what would be the best use of the classifications. Alan
  5. As we all look to the start of the 2004 shooting season I thought I would put on the table as to what everyone thinks the purpose of the USPSA Classifications are. Alan
  6. Sterling, So you decided to come back in from the corn patch in left field. Alan
  7. Graywolf_69, As a shooter that has attended the past nationals and have not attended the most recent I have attended the General Membership meeting, As I recall the meetings that I attended were more of a Q&A session akin to a basic BS session with the Area Directors, The Prez, and the VP of NROI. This general membership meeeting does not provide any minutes or even has a published agenda so the discussions that take place there are just that a discussion no different than discussing with your friends, squad mates, only that you did it with the AD's PREZ and VP of NROI in attendance. (A hall talk is a hall talk and nothing more) Alan
  8. Arnie, Help me understand, If the USPSA BOD has voted to create this division and it has to be published in Front Sight for 90 days before it is official, and you therefore state that until it official it is only a proposal, does the BOD take another vote on the item? The way I see it if the BOD does not take another vote it is not a proposal. It has been approved on the first vote, but the Bylaws require the posting of 90 days prior in Front Sight before enactment. Alan
  9. Mike, Unfortunately at this time the only Hi-CAP Caspian Mags you will find are used. Caspian has not sold any replacement bodies since the ban. The Caspian originial mags will only be 38super-9mm. Fred Craig did have 40 mags for a while but I think he is probably all sold out. Alan (Hopefully the ban will expire and this wont be an issue in the future)
  10. Actually a Caspian Hi-cap with Hogues Caspian grip are sweeeet. Have 4 Caspians set up that way.... Want More...... Alan
  11. Let's see, Sighting systems are on the upper.... Always stays the same... I would think it shouldn't affect accuracy Alan
  12. Bill, Another suggestion is to check with Sterling, He orders bullets from zero and has them dropped shipped to Northern VA. Alan
  13. Looking for a program to score a steel challenge based match. I have an old program from years ago that was designed for a DOS based system. Thanks Alan Meek
  14. Mig, Rock? I'll bring th 8" Bastard file and 2lb Brass Hammer for you to clear your jams...... A
  15. Nwguy, I have been shooting a .40 Open gun for about 12 Years. I have shot bullet weights from 180 down to 135 as the lighter bullets became available. Currently I am using 135gr Nosler JHP. and on an occasion the 135 Plated from Rainier. I have had various local shooters comment on how flat my gun shots and almost everybody actually thinks it is a 38 Super. I have been extremley satisfied with the caliber, my personal opinion is that it is all around better than the 38 super. So go with it if you want, and have fun. And by the way my modified Caspian Hi-cap mags only hold 17rnds of 40. Alan
  16. C Sims, I purchased a TTi enforcer model 2 years ago. So far have not had any problems. Also shot a .5 100 yd group with an ACOG mounted. Personnaly I think it is a great little rifle. Alan
  17. BJ, I have two guns currently being built in 9x19. Both on Caspian frames (One Titanium) and commander slides. They should be completed shortly. I should be able to provide additional information first hand in the very near future. Alan Meek
