  1. How about realizing we are all different and come from all walks of life. Maybe he thinks your an ass. I laugh and joke around a lot, and I'm sure some people don't like that. I shoot for the competition and the friendship. There are lots of people I don't care for, but I make the best of it. Like the one guy said, pretend he's not there. Have fun.
  2. I am the one who started this thread and I shot the match/stage you were ROing. You and all the other ROs did a great job of running the shooters. I know I was one of the shooters who confirmed the make ready command. It's my new routine.
  3. You may want to send the previous owner a " thank you" note for misrepresenting the condition of the gun. If it was sold as a factory built, low round rifle, I would pretty upset.
  4. I was shooting 500 rds a week and slowly improving. After two weeks of Steve Andesons dry fire drills I made great strides.
  5. Hi Steve, it's not bragging if it's true. Your book is great. You will get more out of two weeks of drills than three months at the range. I did it backwards.
  6. No ammo shortages in Northern Calif. PMC 5.56 at $320 per 1000.
  7. I completely accept the fact that I drew without the make ready command should have been DQed, but the RO. had cleared the range called me to the start position, took his position immediately to my right and said something, while looking at me. it did not end well and I let him know my displeasure with his actions. So I think we will mutually agree not to RO each other.
  8. I know I will never make ready again, without asking ,did you say make ready? He is know as a hard ass RO if he can call a C a D he will. The swastika comment croaked me up. He does have a heavy German accent. I can laugh now, but I really thought it was unfair at the time. Live and learn.
  9. Ok, here we go. Today at a club match, I am called to the line, I take my position in the box. Hands at side, RO is standing one foot from me on my side. He barks a command ( or so I thought, I double plug) I draw to make ready, he taps me on he shoulder and tells me I'm DQed. I had no idea what he was talking about, I ask for what? He says he did not give the make ready command. My problem with the DQ is that an RO, I'm one, should never stand next to a shooter who obviously is awaiting the make ready command and bark something to someone behind the shooter. If its me, I turn or step away from he shooter to talk to someone. I know it wasn't intentional, but I felt he screwed up and I got the DQ.
  10. I do not doubt you could do the work yourself, but having PRP install for you will make the world of difference.
  11. I always hit the bottom of the mag after racking the first round. That seems to help seat them. If that doesn't work, try downloading the mag.
  12. Midwest PX. http://midwestpx.com/index.php?cPath=15&osCsid=6dq8m3vs7ks89qpalguqefnhr3
  13. Winchester AA Super Hanicap or Super Sport. None better.
  14. I agree with everything except the 100 yd zero. I prefer the 50 yd zero. It is with in 2 inches from 25 yds to 200 yds. Which if you aim center of A Zone your good.
  15. Yes it is. I had mine inspected at the Nationals and it was good to go.
  16. Doing some dry frie drills will also help. As Bo said, set up some targets, keep going faster and faster until your accuracy drops below an acceptable level, around 90% A hits. Then back off a little and keep pushing. A time s essential.
  17. I shoot the Noveske with an Eotech Xps 2. I shot our Memorial Day shoot with targets at 300 and 400 yards and the only one I didn't hit was the 400 because I didn't want to waste too much time. I'd say 90% of the rifle targets are 50 yards or less so the red dot is much more effective than a scope.
  18. I shoot the 5.25 9mm for 3 Gun. I had Powder River do the trigger work and install Dawson sights. The gun comes with 3 mags so two more is all you really need. I think I paid around $200 for the work. Bladetech DOH holster and a cole of Bladetech mag pouches and your set. You can get the same work done at Springer or Canyon Creek. Canyon Creek did my 5.25 Lmited Gun.
  19. I switched the the 16lb in my 5.25 and function is flawless.
  20. I really enjoy knowing the rules, but I seem to get a lot of grief for pointing them out. I'm not a RO nazi, but I think we should attempt to follow the rules. So lately I have just kept quiet and let do it however they want.
  21. Why is your trigger pull at six pounds? You need to send that to Powder River.
  22. The new M & P 22 is really nice.
  23. Buy both. Set the 40 up for limited. That's what I did and I couldn't be happier.
  24. I have tried most of the drop in triggers mentioned. The Wilson 3gun trigger is by far the best one in my opinion. 3 minute install. I'm not sure why it doesn't get more publicity. Maybe it's the price?
