  1. Cripes, if that's true-- tell me where to sign up! My problem has got to be trigger control. I can see and most of the time feel the shot go wrong, but I swear I have a hard time figuring out exactly why. Frankly, I probably picked the wrong pistol-- but as I've said before, I refuse to let it beat me! your biggest problem is over thinking EVERYTHING. Grip and rip it man. Just like i have told you every week at the plate match if you have seen your plate fall your are moving to slow. see white on red/green in the notch fire move. I think you are so concerned with getting everything just right in static slow fire drills you are derailing yourself. RELAX bro your a good shooter.. you were just behind me this weekend and i am shooting open major ( ok so i zeroed a stage basicly lol) but still you where still right there with mike. had we been standing on stage 1 the match would have went a whole different way for me. My strengths are stage 1 and 2 and of course el prez lol.
  2. Thanks.for the reload on 2 that was the first stage with the back up I wasnt 100% sure on the cmore zero so I wanted a fresh mag just in case it took more than 3 rounds. My red gun is picky about light springs I put a 8lb spring in it and I should have changed before this match. I was installing a spring when a bur kinda locked the slide. Yeah I debated about doing that on 3
  3. But I am more concerned with things I can get better on.
  4. We also had a 39 round stage so they Re not to crazy stiff on the rule book
  5. its good to keep your gun out and read for the next array be carful when you are tight against obsticles
  6. I went this morning to work on close to distance targets. I see how long it takes me to transition from near to far tagerts i lost a bet 4 seconds on stage 3 due to that transition time.
  7. scooter I have some 9mm brass that was fired out of an old star that fired extremely out of battery and looked like that I think sinister saw this stuff. I will bring some to CAS you gotta check this stuff out. But that brass looks to me like it was fired out of battery.
  8. love mine, although i did have to cut mine because i like it further back than most. I just trim forward to the first screw hole and it makes it perfect for my short thumbs and still can take the gun apart without taking it off.
  9. I have reallt fell in love with autocomp. 124 gr jhp with 7.1 grains of AC @ 1.165 and small rifle primers make 170 in my t2 comp trubor and 174 in my t1 comp trubor. best 9mm major load i have found. I have not tried 3n37 or Silhouette though yet.
  10. I have tried every spring/load/bullet weight combo one can imagine in two Sti trubor open guns. one built from the ground up with all the parts I wanted. One right out the box. What i have learned is shoot the crap out of them! and enjoy it! dot flip soft shooting it will all work its self out in about 15K rounds!
  11. yep and since then i have shoot match and lots of practice rounds still holding zero
  12. yep mine is still holding zero. here is a link to the thread. loose grip thread. My target would start out tight and within a mag would be all over like that. Now I shoot one hole @ 15 yards
  13. check your grip screws.. I fought traveling zero for a week till I found my grip screw were loose. Blue lock tight and now it holds zero.
  14. check your grip screws. Mine did that when they were loose
  15. No flakes and a pretty good group. shot 3 spotters and 5 shot group @ 20 yards. So i Think I have solved my issue
  16. cracked/worn disconector + my trigger pull gauge was not working right.
  17. thanks ron, I will flush the comp with some solvent today and keep an eye out for frosted flakes!
  18. thats Exactly what I am having jack. somtimes zero wont last from the time i start sighting to i stop. hope thats the deal. If not I guess i will send it to EGW for alighment. I hear they do it for like ten bucks.
  19. ok I have been having weird accurcey issues with one of my trubor open guns. Gun is a short wide sti frame and trubor t-2 barrel in 9mm. I have a cameron mount on the gun and I been adjusting load ( 5.2 of auto comp/1.165 steel 7.1 AC/1.165 both with 124 JHP) This load shoots one hole @ 10 yards out of my other trubor, but accuracy comes and goes with this one. well tonight I was having a frustrating sighting session when i started having odd malfunctions I never have Double feeds, FTF). I noticed the grip screws were loose enough I could turn them with my fingers. So i tightened them down and put blue lock tight on them. I am waiting till tomorrow to shoot it again and see what i get. But can loose grip screws cause poor groups like 3 inches @ 15 yards and frequent lose of zero? I have had to tighten them before but they have never been this loose. Just wondering i mean I will know for sure tomorrow once the lock tight has set for sure.
  20. looks good. From what I can see. the other feedback about your hits is right on. You can't miss fast enough to win. Again keep the gun up, know where your going before you decide to move. in the second video your feet seem to not be connected to your body as though your not exactly sure were your next move is coming from. thats in stage prep. pick a spot on the ground and move to it. you got happy feet. happy feet usually means trying to go faster than you can shoot. I think if you slow down get your hits you score will be a ton better if not your times also. Also make sure your picking a spot on the target to shoot. I know some times I will blast away on targets close to each other and all i see is a blur of a dot on a blob of brown. I always get better times and hits when I see a stable dot on a crisp in focus target.
  21. I did nothing but order a STI tube grams guts dawson base pad and steel spacer. Did a little tunning to the feed lips and spacer it runs in every gun i put it in with ammo out to 1.165- 1.170.
  22. I have been running 4.5 grains of wst behind a 124 grain montana gold @ 1.165 with SRP. Been pretty good for me out of a stock 9mm trubor
