I picked up the Mossberg JM Pro Series about 2 months, have got about 500 rounds thru it and love it. Cycles fast, recoil is soft, zero hiccups so far.

I am sure that makes sense to somebody ... :-)

Is the 45 GAP cartridge legal for use in CDP?

If you use the right followers (I use Grams) and properly tune the slide release then you won't have any problems with the slide locking back early on a STI/SVI regardless of how many rounds you load into the magazine. All of my Limited division STI's and IDPA ESP and CDP STI's lock the slide back whem the magazines are empty and have never locked back early using both STI and SVI tubes in 40 and 45. I guess it's just what parts you use and how well you can set the gun and magazines up ...

Actually I have found the Grams followers, with a properly tuned slide stop, to be much more reliable in locking the slide back on STI/SVI guns.

setting price aside for the moment which shotgun would be better for 3 gun and why? The Remington VersaMax or the Mossberg 930 JM?

Are the Safariland 771 adjustable magazine pouches legal for use in IDPA competition? IDPA allows for a 10 degree cant on the mag pouches and I would rather use the Safarilands then have a custom set made.

I built a Glock 1 with a hybrid barrel for my daughters 1st open gun and she used Bear Creek 115gr Moly coated bullets for practice all the time. we never had any problems with them other then a little spitting coming from the ports. We would clean out the ports every once in a while with a solvent soaked pipe cleaner but other then that did nothing special.

My conversion kit runs perfectly I just want some additional magazines since I only have 2 currently. I would like to get at least one more maybe two. I don't care what brand they are as long as they work.

Personally I hope they keep it the way it is. When they 1st started talking about it they mentioned winning alot of sanctioned/state level matches as a basis for moving up. This way you don't have to worry about being bumped if you aren't shooting the nationals.

For the purposes of IDPA DMG (3 gun)is the .30 Carbine round as used in the M-1 Carbine considered to be a rifle cartridge or a pistol cartridge?

200's for major, 180's for minor.

Just a thought ... If a shooter signs up to shoot in Production his ammo is scored as minor regardless of what he/she declares, it's not a choice, it's a requirement. If he/her equipment is later found to be noncompliant the shooter is then moved for scoring purposes to Open, it's not a punishment it's a correction. All stages shot before and after the move are scored in Open, and Open allows for the target hits to be scored either in major or minor. Since the shooter is now shooting Open he should be allowed to have his targets scored based on the power factor of the ammo he/she started shooting the match with. If it was major then all targets should be scored major, if it was minor and he switched to major after the move then all targets should be scored minor. Once he/she is reassigned to Open the shooter has the right to take full advantage of the rules for Open.

The C&S hammers and sears are in my experience the best out there and are very durable. They are all I have used for several years and have never had a failure.

If you run the mag tube out to the end of the barrel or an inch or two pass, how many rounds do you get using 2 3/4" shells?
