  1. I had a first run G17L circa 1989 crack at the bottom of the ejection port. If I knew Glock would have replaced it I would have sent it back. I've got to find it.
  2. I think Smart Lock makes the smallest one I've seen.
  3. Your 34 should be a good start since you already have one.
  4. Never seen a Delta Point at all but at the angle in your photo and the way its mounted it looks great. Nice pistol.
  5. Yes that is my original slide from my 24, I use a Lone Wolf 35 and swap between the two.
  6. Thanks all, it seems the Bar-Sto so far has the largest dimension in that area followed by the KKM.
  7. I'm hoping to find out what the average height from the top of the hood to bottom of the feed ramp is on the average Bar-Sto Glock barrel. Pictured is a .40 S&W barrel from Bar-Sto that I bought in the 90's. If you have a 9mm Bar-Sto barrel and could post the dimensions also that would be of great help too. I'm looking for the average height that they might be using. I'm looking for at least three averages to compare. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you have a KKM or other manufacturers barrel dimensions in that area that would help too. Troy
  8. I picked this up from a one of the guys in our club who got it as part of deal when the owner relocated back to the states. Gen 3 21 with tritium adjustable sights, hard chromed slide, extended mag & slide release, magwell, factory 3.5lb connector, 3 Safariland pouches, 8 mags all for five bills. I just cut down one of my 24 guide rods down for it and stippled the grip frame a week ago. Perfect for me!!
  9. Here is a pic with the slide retracted on the open 24C. Honestly, its just looks cool, and sometimes you just want something different from the norm.
  10. Sorry rcc96, I was busy the last few days, the photo is from left to right, 17/22 standard length for Wolff, 34/35 length for ISMI, 17L/24 for ISMI, 17L/24 for Wolff. The first rod was for my 24 for Wolff springs but I have cut it down to standard length for my 3rd Gen 21 that I picked up a few days ago for a price I couldn't refuse. The slide pictured for scale is my spare 24 slide. Hope this helps.
  11. Damn, I use my 32" LCD TV as my secondary monitor, I can only imagine doing this on a 50" or bigger.
  12. The specs on that sight are impressive but the price is pretty high. Has anyone here ever used one?
  13. Just got my K-Frame Comp III's and we tried them in my buddy's King Cobra. Seems like they were meant for the Colt KC. Hope this helps, don't mind us shirtless islanders....
  14. I don't remember if anyone makes one for the 24 but I made mine out of a stainless steel bolt 5/16" diameter by 8", measured the O.D., cut, turned and heated it up and oil quenched for hardness. Final spin for polish on the lathe. I made one of each for Wolff & ISMI.
  15. Will try that Doug, I'll break out the chrono and do some load testing. After loading a few dummy rounds, I can set this bullet out to 1.150 right above the first lube groove in my magazine. Troy
  16. My shooting buddy is going to load a few and we'll try them out at the range. Hopefully they will shoot well.
  17. Thanks Tom, I will go hunting for those Jetloaders, do they need Bubberizing to make them more reload friendly? Got my 002 holster today too. Things are looking good for my wheelgun fun.
  18. I'll stick to .38 Special for now and play with that. I was mainly going for moonclipping .38 Short just for the ease of reloading. If I practice with speedloaders and hopefully get proficient with them, I'll starting shooting it against autos in the club. Besides, the initial cost to start with moons and the conversion isn't as attractive as getting some speedloaders and practice time. Do the Jetloaders fit in the "333" carriers? I have those carriers already and would like to minimize the cost of investing in new gear. Thanks for all the suggestions guys!
  19. Just a suggestion, try googling "citric acid brass case cleaning" Citric acid is the active chemical in citrus fruits and Kool-Aid mix. It is also used to passivate metals to prevent corrosion and a rust remover. I use Lemi-Shine to clean all my pistol & rifle brass. If you decap all the brass it can help clean out the primer pockets and inside of the cases too. If you can find straight food grade citric acid in bulk, you have a cheap cleaning solution that will last a long time.
  20. Hi all, Looking to find out if anyone may have tried this bullet for use in the 9mm. I currently use it for my .38 Special and works great with speedloaders. Drops around 148grs. out of the mold. I can size them at .356 up to .358 and use Carnauba Red lube. Looking to maximize the use of this bullet for my revolver and auto needs. Waiting for my aftermarket Glock barrel to arrive and will load with Solo 1000 147gr. data and work it up slowly. Any comments welcome.
  21. Thanks for the info guys, I will go for the speedloaders and am interested in Zombie shooting, I'll get the info and bring it up to our club committee. I like breaking out the wheelgun simply because I feel it requires more effort on the shooter's part to do well and use it when we have practice matches. I have a 002 holster on the way and hope to mount it to my belt for this weekend. I have my setup in the attachment. Troy
  22. Thanks for all the input gents. I believe that Comp III's would be the ones to go for? By cutting them down, do you all mean "Bubberizing"? If so, I can chuck them in a lathe and turn them to a shorter length. I visited the Zombie shooters site and I must say that would be a great idea for a fun shoot out here. Now I gotta look into getting some new speedloaders. I wish our club out here had some ICORE style matches but the bottom feeders rule the roost.
  23. Thanks for the input. I have HKS loaders for it and was looking at other options to make this mainly a fun gun to shoot .38 SC, Special, and the occasional .357 Magnum. We don't have any ICORE or IDPA out here just yet. I do have an extra cylinder I can use for other events if the need arises.
  24. Hello all, I just want to find out if anyone maybe using this type of setup and if it is worth doing. I am looking at having my cylinder cut for moons and investing in some .38 SC brass. All opinions welcome.
  25. I used to have the brand of bullet years ago, the 220 West Coast bullet. I used to load them with 3.5 grains of WW231 and shoot it in a G24 with a Bar-Sto barrel. I never had an issue, but stopped using it when a fellow shooter had a case blow out in his G24 with a factory barrel with the same load. I went back to home cast 180's. We had to load at 1.130. for the 175 power factor at the time. One of the things I noticed was how soft these bullets were, if you crimped them a little much and pulled them out they would leave a pretty defined ring where they were crimped. Didn't want to chance having a blow out myself so I sold them off.
