  1. OK, that answers my question. I guess it is somehting you are going to get if you use Silhouette. And all the crud. The powder shoots great, accurate, excellent recoil impulse.
  2. Hello guys. This is for you guys that have used Ramshot Silhouette and have some working knowledge of the powder. I have been using Silhouette for about a fyear now and have been noticing a lot a brass looking shavings all over my gun and my holster. At first I thought it was actually was brass filings and really had me worried, but couldn't find anything that would point to there being a problem. Long story short, it is unburnt powder. My gun also gets very dirty with it. So I was wanting to know if any others were having these problems. I have not seen it in any other powders that I have tried. I have seen anywhere mentioned about this in searching, so is it just my setup or is this common for Ramshot Silhouette?
  3. I tried this yesterday and it does work. Gun recoils straight back and slightly up. I was able to keep 3 out of 4 shots in the A zone at 25yds. Thanks Nimitz.
  4. I have also been struggling with this and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. At 25 yds.WHO my shots will consistently shoot way right. I am right handed. Once I move in to 18yds they will all be A's and close C's. Am I applying too much finger? Will dry fire help?
  5. Is there such an animal that exists? I just bought a 6" STI with a bull barrel and it has a 2 piece guide rod that I have never had to deal with. Does anyone make a one piece guide rod for a 6" gun?
  6. Thanks Do and Pat. I do plan on handling Class 3 items and hoping to have it set up where they can get their trust their and also be able to send off for their stamp, and that is a good idea about letting them come shoot their toy while they wait. Do I have looked into the simulator thing and I am going to wait until Action Target is thru with theirs. I really do think this would be a huge money maker.
  7. Thank you Camazama. The range equipment and ventilation system are well taken care of. I could not afford ballistic glass but I will have a lounge area and something for the children to play with. Also there will be a sink in the air lock room for washing hands when they exit. I am currently talking with the Well Armed Woman organization for setting up a chapter there for the ladies. If you think of some more, please let me know.
  8. Thanks to everyone for your time and opinions. I had to start small due to financial limits but the range will be 2 bays of 4 lanes each, 25 yds long with a 3rd bay partially completed at construction to finish out later. Jack I want to especially thank you for the list. Good ideas that will certainly pay dividends. Some I have already initiated. I will have a focus on youth and ladies I think I have had as many calls from women as I have from men. The lighting will be LED lighting with adjustability and the ventilation system is from Carey's ventilation, the #1 company in range ventilation systems in the country. Thanks again and keep 'em coming.
  9. First, I had no idea where to put this so mods.please move if I have posted this wrong. OK guys, I am about to open an indoor shooting range in NE MS. I feel like I can get the best answers from you guys that will help me deliver the best indoor range possible. I have competed for many years so I am familiar with with the shooting world but have basically no experience with what people want to see in a indoor range. So this is where I hope to get as many responses as possible from you guys that have access to indoor ranges regularly. Please tell me your likes and dislikes regarding indoor ranges, what works or doesn't work and anything else you can think of that might help me get off to a good start. Thank you in advance for your input.
  10. When you leave matches angry, then it's not fun. So my vote goes in the "Hell NO" column
  11. Steph got mine also last weekend. I mailed it June 30 and it took two weeks to get there. I'm wondering why it took two weeks to get there from north Miss.. I wonder if Obama was screening our mail. Or maybe it just needed airlifting in to there.
  12. In my guns, WST is almost identical in weight charges. I think you will find WST to be about as close as you can get and shoots VERY well in 9mm. WST may be a little dirtier but not anything too bad. Accuracy is good also.
  13. I got in. As soon as 6:00pm straight up hit, I refreshed and it said open and I was registered by 6:01.
  14. Crossbreed Holsters makes them for P-01's. I have one but it is an IWB.
  15. For you guys running a Limited in USPSA Limited division, what holster are you all using?I am currently using a CR Speed with my 2011 but I am wanting to use one holster for both guns if this is doable. The Limited will fit in the CR holster but is loose. Money is also a factor in this decision. Anyway, thanks for your responses
  16. What part of N. Miss you from Ray? I live in Tupelo.
  17. +1. When the buzzer goes off, everything goes out the window but I am trying to tell that to myself as I am shooting. I think I am going to try to actually talking to myself out loud as I am shooting next time. Maybe a little pre-buzzer routine will help also.
  18. Apologies guys. This is my first Limited or Tanfoglio for that matter. Trying to get a thumb rest and a holster for it.
  19. For those running Tanfos in USPSA or anybody for that matter, what *thumb rest [generic]* aka thumb rest are you guys using?
  20. I'll have to keep a sharper eye out then. Thanks for heads up
  21. Who was it that got a batch in and does he expect to do another?
  22. Thanks guys and no I am not trolling. Just didn't know if there was a dealer abroad or what. Would like to find a limited in .40cal.Thought about getting one to shoot L10 with. Don't know about prices, but how does this look: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=479870537
