  1. LOL we did fix some guns but none were built buy us. Next year we hope to be at Areas 7,8,6,5 and VA/MD with the service trailer.
  2. Hi all, Food for thought; I would not put a PT grip on a CK frame. If you want a CK grip run a CK frame. If you want a PT grip buy a PT frame. We should have some for sale soon. There is almost no fitting needed and you won't make a mess of a grip or frame. If you have a STI or CK frame now just sell them and buy a PT frame. If you putting the grip on a gun you like and the fit is way off send it to someone who fits a lot of grips.
  3. The Metal grips made by PT and SVI (sti style) will not fit on most sti frames without some work. Some frames can be fit to the grip in 15 minutes and other might take hours. The problem is that sti frames have changed a lot over time in specs. They change every run. The CM and S frames are older and require a lot of material removal. We do this on a CNC with a set program for the PT grips. Doing one of these with hand tools would be difficult. Some of the newer frames with let the grip go on without fitting but often are still tight in some places. These still need minor fitting or they will stress the frame. All of the grips and frames should have the edges broken before the grip is installed. Pay special attention to the tab for the front grip screw. Many times this is too tight and will break over time.
  4. What are the letters in beginning of your SN# Some frames take a lot of work and some are qucik
  5. I run a dawson brass "heavy" magell on my steel griped guns
  6. Hi all, Atlas Gunworks is a company, I happen to be the face of the company today, but there is a growing group of amazing staff. We are shooters. We have a dedication to shooters as a company. We started this company because we felt there was a hole in the market, lead times were too long, costs too high and quality too low. We hope to raise the bar across the board. The idea behind a 1 year warranty is simply to make sure we are able to hedge the downside of tons of free service work. Two problems arise with a lifetime warranty. 1: almost no company really honors them. We have no interest in offering something to help a sale that's impossible to honor down the road. It's a disservice to us and all our customers to offer something that's impossible to fulfill. 2. Lots of problems that occur are not related to the integrity of the gun. It's unfair to other customers to have extended wait times when we service problems where we were not at fault. It also drives up the cost of new guns. We will always do the right thing and help our customers in any way we can. We are so dedicated to helping Shooters you will see our gunsmith trailer at many major matches across the east coast in 2017 and possibly the entire country in 2018. If your gun needs service we will be there to help. Loaner guns for customers will always be on hand. Hope to meet many of our enos friends at Majors in the coming years. Stop by and say hi. Adam
  7. Here is a vid about grip texture. The EVO is pretty much the same as the older pt style aggressive. The PT is less sharp then the SVI grips. We used to sell 50/50 smooth/aggressive now is 95% aggressive. Gina and I both shoot PT aggressive
  8. $650 with MSH and non pivoting grip saftey.

  10. Because people get upset when they are not number one.
  11. Edwardblake, We are happy to troubleshoot all the problems at our expense, but that gun has never malfunctioned once while we had it, with the 200+ rounds we put through it. That being said, you live in a state where you have to run olDer magazines rather than newer ones of better quality. Regardless of what you sat on any forums, we will do anything in our power to make you happy, including giving you a full refund if you no longer want the pistol.
  12. The DVC limited guns have had some bumps along the way, but most are 95% good guns. Keep in mind these are not custom guns made by master gunsmiths. We have sold many DVC limited guns and most leave here with our tune, that will also correct any factory problems. Not one has come back. We have a couple 9mm guns at the old price if anyone needs one before the price jump goes into effect.
  13. If we build your limited gun and you don't think it's the best gun you have ever owned I will send you all your money back. Our guns are ultra premium customs.
  14. I shoot the gun until I think its about to stop running. 2k if you use dirty ammo and 4k-5 if you use good clean ammo (VV powder and jacked bullets) I detail strip when something breaks. I cheat clean the Lower end with Hornady one shot Oil the barrel every time I shoot, and the rails every time if using CLP type oil or every other time if I have a heavy oil like archoil 4400.
  15. What powder do you use in this load?
  16. Stock or Atlas Tuned? Very nice selection. Enjoy. Myron Atlas tuned and trigger. Very happy with the result. 10 pull average was 1lb 13oz with the EGW lightened hammer and sear. Very impressive. Looking forward to hearing about your range time. Your Gauge is broken, it left here at 1lb 15oz avg
  17. We can Tune a DVC to be a really nice gun. The reason to buy one is that you don't have to wait three to four months for a hand build custom gun. We do take the coating off the feed ramp. Most of the time we don't have to remove any coating on the lugs.
  18. A Bull Barrel adds weight to the front of the gun and eliminates fitting a bushing (2 lock up points vs 4), No tools to remove barrel. A bushing can be refit if mistakes are made or parts wear. I had a squib one time with a bushing barrel gun and it split the bushing and barrel, but saved the slide.
  19. yeah mines on the ramp and chamber When they get tuned most of the time the coating is removed from the ramp and chamber to help performance
  20. We have a 9mm and 40cal Limited in stock
  21. Why you should tune your 1911 pistol.... http://atlasgunworks.com/our-story/projects.php?id=138479488487
