  1. Also pick up everything I can at the range to use for practice ammo.
  2. I buy once fired used brass in 9mm, .40 and. 45 that has been roll sized on a casepro to get the glock bulges out.
  3. I am running all Hornady dies for 9mm .40 and .45, with a case feeder. 1. Size and decap 2. Flare 3. Powder Measure 4. Bullet Seat and Crimp And of course I visually check EVERY cartridge before I set the bullet on the case to seat it.
  4. My bone stock STI Edge. 40 came with the heavy recoilmaster. I removed after my first match and installed a one piece SS guiderod and 14 lb. spring. After a little break-in I now run a 12 1/2 lb. spring. It's all about the ammo and how it feels to you. A lot of guys shooting lead run a 9 or 10 lb. spring. A little practice time with a particular load will let you know if you like how the gun handles. Good luck and have fun.
  5. You guys are just too funny. I lost track of time(GST-something) reading this post, had a little GAS and tryed to FART only to CRAPMYPANTS. Hey I think I smell something?? Ahh, just a little gun oil on my factory STI.
  6. Well this explains your Avatar!!!!!!!!!
  7. I just can't seem to get my head low enough with my iron sights to rest the mag on the ground. I guess i'll have save up and shoot open class.
  8. It sure sounds good to me. But if that's what it is I only have it half the time I'm shooting. I think one step further would be to see your shot and know it's a good hit.
  9. I guess if nothing else works you could put your old connector back in and give it a try. I've always used a ghost ultimate 3.5 and reduced power spring kit with no issues in my G17.
  10. Is this more of a bullseye competition than IPSC, because you really don't have the time to get comfy in IPSC shooting?
  11. Glad your OK BallisticianX. Those pictures say it all. Respect that primer system. WOW
  12. If you use this 1911 for ANYTHING other than competition, I would not disable the grip safety, but as John said a good gunsmith can set it up and De-sensitize it for you.
  13. In Limited you can run them anywhere on the belt. Some shooters put them right in front of the navel at a slight cant. Production has to be hip to hip, the picture in Appendix E3, page 87 here: http://www.uspsa.org...esProof3web.pdf +1 for Production. With 6 mags, you would have plenty, as you can only put 10 rounds per mag. If you're set on Limited, maybe look at magazine extensions, such as Dawson Precision or Arredondo. With my D.P. for my Glock 34, I can cram 22 rounds of 9mm per mag, so you may only need 3 or so mags with floor plates. Thanks for that catch Pro-Pain. I was quoting production.
  14. I don't think most shooters rest the magwell on the ground to shoot prone if that was your plan. When I shoot prone my elbows contact the ground and then I can move my forearms and bend my wrists to position for my shoots. A longer magwell may get in the when loading.
  15. You can run them from hip to hip bone all the way around your back but, like WILD GENE said why not run production? You are getting scored minor and production will help you with the mechanics of quick mag changes. Also makes you plan a little better for the appropiate time for your mag change.
  16. Thanks, Looks like I will do my M1S90 seeing as I'll be welding up my bolt so I can ghost load it when need be.
  17. Anyone care to add some before and after pics (welded lifter) for us newbies??? Thanks
  18. A question?? Did you run the XDM with the reloads and factory ammo yourself or did she run your reloads and then you ran the factory stuff. If you ran both and this happened, I would first try the reloads with factory spring and go from there. If she ran reloads and you ran factory, I would first check her grip and make sure she's not limp-wristing it. I run tightgroup & MG's in my glock 17 9mm and STI Edge .40 and like it.
  19. That could work, just don't forget to punch some holes in those upper eyelids. You can use my paper hole punch...
  20. I don't believe I would tumble loaded rounds. This will break down the flake or ball and could change your PF or something WORSE.
  21. When you get set up and comfortable loading with your RED pres, save your pennies for that case feeder. It speeds things up considerably.........
  22. Who can afford to shop @ GM. I do it all mail order in bulk. Find some friends that reload and start bulk purchasing, you will be able to shoot up the saving!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Same here only Fed Sm Mag Pistol Primers.
  24. I like my Federal 200's, with extended firing pin and 15 lb. main they go bang every time. They are a little soft for some people though.
