  1. Question: on the 1st page there are 3 divisions and on the application thre are 2 division..... is there tactical and limited or is there tactical, limited and heavy tactical for this match?
  2. What is the layout of the range? Are golf carts and 4 wheelers allowed this year? Last year the range was so spread out we drove from stage to stage......
  3. Well, I must add that the gun and all ammo must be worn @ waist level @ all times unless you are a female and you are allowed to wear it @ hip level and must be worn on your belt. If the holster falls off with the gun in the holster then it is not @ waist level. I do not have the exact number right now, but I believe it is in chapter 4 or the appendix? Anyway, It is a DQ. Call them Mr./Mrs. Soft serve....
  4. I had one until last weekend...They are alot of fun to shoot and present a big challenge. But it is more of a mental target more than anything. But, since I do not have one any more, there are always bigger and better ideas on the horizon...
  5. Might have to break out the tig welder for that stage....just wonder how many 308 mags I can weld together for this one....
  6. Well, I just put a Magpul UBS stock on my 308. It has a good feel. + It was to help balance the rifle out alittle better and the added weight will help on recoil a bit....

    P16 40 Mags

Yeah of you want full capacity, get them straight from para. The mec-gar mag seem to hold 1 less for some ODD reason.
  8. Contact Benny Hill @ Triangle Shooting Sports, he is a fellow 3 gunner and an excellent gunsmith. He does these all the time. You can find him under the sponsors for the forums. He just finished doing his stuff on a new 308 upper for me.
  9. The little velcro strap is to wrap around the reciever and thru one of the loops on the caddie. it just makes sure it doesn;t come loose if it bump a wall or an object during a match.
  10. Well most people are going to tell you, if you have the money, Buy once, cry once then go shoot! LOL!. Seems most people are running Benelli M2's or M4's Field. Depends on if you want a pistol grip. 21 - 24" barell. They are running about $1200-$1600. They are not gas driven. Might want to look @ ableammo.com - they have good prices on the Benelli's/ Extras: a hiviz fiber optic front sight, might want a to put a 10-22 ring sight on rear, nordic components mag tube, oversize mag release button and barrel clamp. Now if you want the bolt lightened, loading plate reworked, loading area enlarged, then i would call Benny Hill @ triangle shooting sports in corpus christi, tx. to do the gunsmithing on it. He knows Benelli's insided and out and is a fellow 3 gunner. His shop is also a sponsor on the forums. he does execellent work, just got back a new .308 upper from him and it is very sweet!
  11. Impact is in houston, also there is a range on hwy 290 near west road (about 1.5 miles south of FM1960 on right). I would do a google search for gun ranges in houston and you will be suprised @ how many show up. Hope this helps. If you wanted to drive north for a match or two. come to Bryan/College Station, we shoot every 4th sunday IPSC. www.brazoslandpistoleros.com ARC is a very nice club, they are hard to beat. Sheldon runs good matchs. I will be over there next week for the RSO class.
  12. Well this looks like a wood grain version of the Benelli M2 to Me! And the thing is alittle over $200 higher. Smallest length barrel is a 26". Guess the extra 2 bills is for a wood look.... Knew it was just a matter of time til it was messed up! beretta M2.bmp
  13. Hello from Bryan/College Station, TX. - The Brazosland Pistoleros here shoot IPSC matches on the 4th sunday of everymonth. you can go to the club's web site www.brazoslandpistoleros.com and find more information about the club and the events. Hope to see you out sometime.
  14. + 1 on Mark's gear, I have his side saddles, belt caddies and I have an arm band as well. His stuff is very good quality and would recommend it to anybody. He is really easy to talk with about what you are needing. His gear is very reasonable priced as well and really fast shipping.
  15. Might want to contact www.ar15targets.com, they did a polish plate rack for me.....
  16. Might try the fiochi 1oz, low recoil, 1150ft/sec slugs.
  17. I believe it will be a +6 on the Nordic tube. Look on www.cactustactical.com there is a table for barrel length. I have a 21" M2 and the +6 is alittle longer than the barrel. If you have a 24 then you should be flush or almost flush with the end.
  18. You could send it to Benny Hill in Corpus Christi,TX, He just finished a new upper for my DPMS .308, cut and turn an new barrel, lightened carrier, lightened buffer, gas block, New carbon fiber handguard, one of his rolling thunder comps. I sent him most of the parts and he finished it for me.... He is under Triangle Shooting Sports in the dealer section.
  19. Benny's Comps are the best. got one on my ar15 and he is working up a new setup on my 308 right now....Give hime a call @ www.triangleshootingsports.com
  20. I personally like the DPMS platform. Something else to try is a set of JP springs. I run 3.5 in my guns and have not had any problems. Also I run single stage triggers in both my 5.56 and my .308. A carbon fiber free float or a hogue float tubes work really well.
  21. I would like to see a big rifle match in and around the State of Texas.....
  22. I an looking @ a Dillion 550B or a 650XL. Just wondering which is the better loader for handgun? I might be doing rifle in the future. Any input would be great. Thanks.
  23. I like the CR Speed Belts. I run Cr speed Holster for reg pistol matches, but for 3Gun, Serpa Holster, Mark Otto's Caddies with teklok, A patrolman's AR Mag in the middle of my back and Sarfaland pistol mag holders. I can change to just about any configuration I need using the cr belt.
