  1. I had heard of the reverse temp sensitivity of Silhouette. Did some shooting - same load same gun no cleaning in between to examine PF difference at 63 and 30 degrees. Name: Limcat 8.5 Silhouette Notes: Cold outside Shots: 7 Average: 1531 FPS SD: 11 FPS Min: 1518 FPS Max: 1552 FPS Spread: 34 FPS Power Factor Average: 176 Power Factor Low: 174 Power Factor High: 178 Barometric Pressure: 30 Temperature: 30 Weight: 115 grains -------------------------- Name: Limcat 8.5 Silhouette Shots: 10 Average: 1521 FPS SD: 9 FPS Min: 1504 FPS Max: 1534 FPS Spread: 30 FPS Power Factor Average: 174 Power Factor Low: 172 Power Factor High: 176 Barometric Pressure: 30 Temperature: 63 Weight: 115 grains --------------------------
  2. What caliber? What's your bullet? OAL?
  3. That's crazy they want that much $$$ a year. Only thing I have ever used them for was to link descent pics where file size was restricted. I can only imaging the amount of cussing they receive daily when people come across a web search and find they info needed only to see photo bucket has removed the link. That sucks!
  4. Why has photo bucket changed the way pics are linked? I am finding almost anywhere I look for older info where photo bucket pics were used the images are longer displayed saying to update 3rd party hosting. What happened?
  5. Buy a MPX and don't worry about reloading for it. Just feed it the cheap stuff. It'll eat it up and shoot soft https://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/9mm-ammo-wolf-poly-1000rds.html
  6. Here is the comparison of the two guns shooting a Montana gold 124 HP OAL1.140 Name: CK Arms 124 Notes: 7.3 silhouette Shots: 8 Average: 1383 FPS SD: 8 FPS Min: 1371 FPS Max: 1396 FPS Spread: 25 FPS Power Factor Average: 171 Power Factor Low: 170 Power Factor High: 173 Barometric Pressure: 30 Temperature: 56 Weight: 124 grains -------------------------- Name: Limcat 124 Notes: 7.3 silhouette Shots: 10 Average: 1359 FPS SD: 7 FPS Min: 1348 FPS Max: 1377 FPS Spread: 29 FPS Power Factor Average: 168 Power Factor Low: 167 Power Factor High: 170 Barometric Pressure: 30 Temperature: 56 Weight: 124 grains --------------------------

  9. I need to make a correction My OAL is ~1.160 Loaded some more test rounds last night with 8.36 and 8.46 grains. I hope those get there as the case is getting full and close to being a compressed load.
  10. OAL is ~1.160 KKM barrel so much longer than that and it will quit spinning on the plunk My other gun also has a KKM barrel but drives the same loads about 3PF higher - I assume the popholes size accounts from the difference Looking at the way those results are trending I might have to push the load beyond 8.5gr to get a 172 PF
  11. I have been wanting to try out some MG 115CMJs. Silhouette is the powder I have been using so this what I started with. Chronoed the past two days and am needing to up my POWER factor a bit more Here is what I have done 7.8gr 1430fps 10 shot average 8.1gr 1451fps 10 shot average 8.2gr 1461fps 10 shot average Should I continue to up the powder or possibly start changing OAL to get that last little bit of power factor?
  12. I haven't tried this but sounds like its worth a shot. Or just keep putting rounds downrange. Both sound like fun
  13. I did some research with the same question but concerned if coated bullets would lead up suppressors. There's too many variables to say yes or no - barrel length, bullet type, powder, crimp , velocity etc The only way to know for sure is shoot some out of your gun and recover the bullets. If there is still coating where the bullet contacts the rifling and on the base your good. Exposed lead on the back half of the bullets means you'll get lead in the comp. For me coated thru suppressors is a no go
  14. I had expected it to loosen up more by now. Maybe need to put a whole bunch more rounds thought it. ?
  15. That's the factory finish. It's reliable just doesn't seems as slick as it could be.
  16. That got it down to about 2.5lbs...
  17. Question How tight should a slide and frame fit together? I'm shooting a CK 9mm with about 6k rounds thru it today and have always felt it is a little tight. If I take out the barrel and recoil spring it takes close to 4lbs to move the slide past the cocked hammer. My Trubor is less than half - granted it has more rounds thru it. Just wondering?
  18. It takes a combination of about 25 different cuss words to get them off.
  19. On the MPX reciever Can not be seen thru cmore and my thumb does not block the beam when wrapping my hand around the smaller fore end Cmore and laser are sighted at 18 yrds. Laser does not hit as lower or high as dot close in and further out due to it being closer to the bore. The 206 can be seen in direct sun light out to uspsa distances.
  20. The aimpoint has the worst star flare in the group because of my eyes/ astigmatism. The holoson looks sharpest. C-more looks biggest
  21. The H1 sight is close to twice as bright as the holosun but the H1 seems too bright and makes the dot appear larger
  22. I have a slide ride on my MPX pcc for USPSA. Field of view makes hard to beat. Also went holosun on my scorpion with folding arm brace that is a suppressor host/range toy. You can still see the irons but in the bottom 1/8" of glass. For competitive shooting the field of view and 8 MOA dot feels the fastest. For defensive gun I'd want a sight that is always on. Not sure how the holosun 403c will hold up long term but so far I have been impressed. Here's a few pics you didn't ask for but thought I share...
