The extended firing pin didn't have any effect on the light strikes. Plus it has a pointed tip, where the stock pin is blunted.
So I'm back at square one with a stock hammer and a stock firing pin.

The only way I could get the bullets no to creep was to crimp the s#!t out of them.
Some people recommend a U die, but crimping the **** out of them worked for me.
No clue on the failure to fire, sorry.
California has some non sense drop test for handguns. Some manufactures put lightweight firing pins in, so they don't fire when dropped on the muzzle.
