  1. I've got a Lee .38 Special 4 die set. Die #3 is the seating die. Die #4 is the taper crimp die. Can I seat and crimp all in die #3, and skip die #4 completely?
  2. When I have the primer feed slide going straight in, I have issues. When I have some pressure on it so the tail is canted to the right, no issues.
  3. Yes, I had the same issue. Loosen the mounting bracket on the black primer feed tube, the one the dog leg rod goes into, and turn it slightly counter clockwise. I'm talking 1/32 of a turn. Just enough to cause the dog leg rod to put pressure on the outside of the primer feed slide. When facing the press, you want the primer feed slide to have pressure pushing it to the right .
  4. I put the stock hammer back in, much lighter than the Apex. I measured the firing pin. It's .487, and flat on the tip. I had one that was the same length, but had a bigger slot cut in it. I put that in. After the holidays I'll take it to the range, and report back.
  5. I wouldn't lie to you. Well, I would, but not about this
  6. Well, I've got good news, and bad news. The good news is, when I was on my hands and knees looking for the little spring and pin from the back of the cylinder bolt, I found an unfired Federal Small Pistol Primer. .
  7. Yes, before I take the side plate off, I back out the screw, so I don't snap off the hammer stud. When the side plate is on and tight, then I screw in the strain screw all the way.
  8. In summary, I'm not a gunsmith. Literally all I did was replace the stock hammer with the Apex hammer. The gun still has a 70% ftf rate in double action, 0% ftf rate in single action. Same as before. The only difference is the trigger pull is heavier now.
  9. I talked to Pinnacle, I'll be in touch with them after the holidays. Thanks
  10. Ordered 20 minuets ago, still no bullets
  11. I must be doing something wrong, the trigger pull actually feels heavier with the new Apex hammer. If only there were people out there that specialized in working on other people's guns. I need to find one of those guys
  12. Thanks, I just ordered some pew pew pew thingys
  13. Is the black thingy supposed to be crashing into the skinny thingy?
