  1. Bullets from Ares are great but not in a polygon-barrel. In my 2011 .40 they are the best bullet I have tried and You can download them quite a bit and still be within major PF. The downside is that my Glock 17 dosen't like them at all. Says more about the Glock than the bullets...
  2. There is a 2-part glue (forgot which brand). It's a base primer and a cyan glue. It's been working on all plastics I've tried it on. Glued a 2011 grip among other things.
  3. Cruise as Reacher, for Christs sake... Who will be Reacher in the sequel, Leonardo de Caprio?
  4. Doodie Project? =) I'll check out Andersons Dry Fire-book. Been looking at Kirsch's "Thinking..." but seems it's more match prep etc. Maybe I'll buy them both anyway, Thanks for all the tips but still not "it".
  5. Got Brian Enos book and find it great. Now I'm looking for a book that covers tactics on stage. For example how to use the walkthrough, movement, where and when to reload etc, in short everything You do on stage except pulling the trigger. The winter is long and I need something to read.
  6. Redding G-Rx or Lee Bulge Buster and You'll be fine.
  7. With a 147 bullet it's a whole different situation. With such a heavy bullet I'm not surprised that a fast powder works better.
  8. Be very careful with that fast burning powder. Solo1K is imho too fast for 9mm. I sometimes use 4.2 N320 (slower than S1K) on 125 lead which gives PF 130. I prefer slower powders for 9x19 though.
  9. Seems like the Ed Brown heads are discontinued.
  10. When I first installed the Posi-lock it cracked my grip and shot away the screw. It had a .20 offset compared to the stock so it didn't lock all the way down in the slot. Very un-cool thing to happen 2 days before a match... So measure the total width before installing a new mag catch.
  11. I like the modular system with the 2011 (SVI, STI). It gives more options and more parts to choose from. Para and BUL are based on the same, or at least used to. Can't say were Caspian fits in there but quality wise they've always been good.
  12. Unfortunately Powerfactorshooting won't ship to euro. Drilling the rod is an option but want another anyway. If I can't find/get a lighter one I'll probably go that route. Delrin rod is interesting, will check them out.
  13. What different options are there if I want to get a lighter full length guide rod? The only one I know of is Briliey in alu but their shipping charge to euro is ridiculous. Any other brands or vendors?
  14. Tried it and will not use it. My PPC9 that has been running flawlessly started to act funny when Frog'ed, especially when cold. Gave it som ATF and it was back to normal. A CZ Czechmate that didn't run a at match because of FL, same there, some good ol' oil and it was back in action. That stuff will not come close to my guns.
  15. Probably will be a hailstorm of bids the last 20 seconds.
  16. The only gun I want to take with me to the grave is my 3gen. The 1006 is an icon, You will regret it.
  17. Really happy with my Peltor Sport Tac's (muffs). Peltor sells new muffs and foam when fresh ones are needed. If You're shooting comped guns or riffles Pro Tac-series is better. Never use plugs but heard a lot of postive about custom molded. There's a bunch of different brands with basicly the same technology.
  18. How about magazines that tend to rust, like Rescomp tubes and blued Mec-Gars?
  19. Spot on! Can't think of any good arguments for putting targets on or close to the 180. Close to 180 for a right hand shooter can be directly on for a left hand shooter. It's just plain stupid design that intentionally puts the shooter in a bad spot with no margins for safety.
  20. Do You seat the bullet and crimp with the same tool? If so then back out the crimp, set the OAL and then re-adjust the crimp. If it starts to crimp before the bullet is seated they will be crooked. Check brass with primer side first in a case gauge or in the barrel. If it chambers the brass is OK and the problem is with the bullet seating.
  21. Bought from him once without the extra option and they were still very clean. The quality was also top notch meaning no bulged Glock brass. ¨Bought from a handful of places and Brassman is the best so far.
