  1. Yep, in fact I finished shooting an hour ago, so there should be some news soon. Awards start tonight at 5.
  2. That was one of the most well organized matches I think I've ever been to! Great job to Larry and his "chronies" (as BamBam would say). Shooting with Bill Seevers, BamBam and Matt Trout was awesome, these guys are fun....I always enjoy the matches best when I'm laughing all day (even on the way home).
  3. Small amount of Chip McCormick Trigger Slick.
  4. There were some on gunbroker a few weeks ago that didn't sell for $900, yet one sold on e-bay about a week ago for I think $980.
  5. If you want the best get the Tripps , ALL the others have given me some sort of issues. I'll be shooting a singlestack 40 again after the Nats and all I'll be shooting is Tripp's mags (both IDPA & USPSA).
  6. 0.40" and they'll work with 40, in fact some Wilson 45 mags work fine (with modification) with 40 & 10.
  7. I NEVER thought I slapped a trigger, but about a year ago a close friend of mine was watching me closely one day at a local match as I was shooting strong hand only, he said my finger was almost coming out of the trigger guard. That still surprises me because I never practiced slapping nor do I recall that sensation Back on topic: I guess I slap my trigger sometimes but they're all under 2 lbs.
  8. Just wanted to follow up on this.....I bought a #5 shellplate (38 Super and 9mm) and voila the problem is solved The press FINALLY works like a champ. Now I'm cranking out some serious ammo
  9. The early 82mm Kowa did have some issues which resulted in clarity issues. I thought those issues had been solved in later runs of that scope. With that said the 77mm was always a good performer. I had a good early model 82mm that was just as clear as the 77's, but I knew more than a few folks who had bad 82's.
  10. Joe, The gun is doing great. I only have about 400 rounds through it because I've been focusing on Open. I have had no malfunctions, and the barrel lockup is TIGHT. The gun shoots very accurately, as accurate as my two super accurate EGW 1911s. The major selling point to using Matt is his superb communications; he'll call and talk to you about things and try to get it the way you want it. P.S. If you're looking for an Open gun I'll be selling my Caspian Open gun after I shoot it at the Nats. Good luck. Bill
  11. White casefeed adapter did not fix the issue Spoke with a 1050 guru at Dillon who said I need to either bevel my 223 shellplate or spend $54 + $9 shipping for a 9mm shellplate The quest continues....
  12. If you feel comfortable tinkering with the gun yourself search these forums for how to do it. Otherwise tell us your location and someone will chime in with a decent local 'smith.
  13. Blue, I contend that the Race Ready frame is cheaper: regular Caspian singlestack frame = $185 + S&A = $185 + $70 = $255 + 'smith work to open it up ($50 or $100, depending on how big you want it opened up, on Matt McLearn's website) = $255 + $50/$100 = $305/$355 Race Ready frame = $260 Ron, Any word from Virgil when those 10 rnd Super mags will be out?
  14. Stripped it's 12 oz. Slickest singlestack frame I've ever seen. I just got one that I plan on putting my Marvel 22 kit on, but that magwell has visions of IDPA singlestacks dancing in my head
  15. Very ingenious, someone was thinking outside of the box And Dave is right, that's a nice dot for a C-More.
  16. Senna, Thanks for the info, that's what I suspected. I'll give it a try.
  17. I shot 4756 for most of last season and it varied a lot.
  18. First off let me apologize in advance if this topic has already been covered, the search engine didn't want to play tonight. I bought a mildly used Super 1050 that came from the factory set-up for 38 Supercomp and has never been converted to any other caliber. From day 1 the casefeeder never fed quite right: approx 5-20 cases per hundred would be fed by the casefeed plunger too much to the right (cases were offset within the plunger to the right) and therefore would not feed correctly, if at all, into the shellplate. Numerous calls to Dillon ended up fruitless On a whim I double checked the caliber conversion chart, and noticed that my press had a green casefeed adapter (38 Super style) but the cases had a lot of room within the adapter to move around (not good), so I called them to see if this was the right adapter for Supercomp, they said "No, you need the white 380 adapter due to the rim diameter of the Supercomp." So I go ahead and buy the white adapter, got it today, excitedly installed it, and voila the casefeeder won't feed at all now because the adapter is longer and the Supercomps are too tall to feed through it Ultimately I think the white adapter's smaller internal diameter will center the case better and fix my casefeeding issues, but only if I modify the adapter by shortening it. Is there a better solution? What works for you?
