17 round Mec gar + springer pads

I don't see a reason to go with any others besides Ghost at this point. They are inexpensive and cover all of the features you could want.

I thought the Adidas were uncomfortable to the point of being silly. I went with Innov8 mudclaws. Cheaper and better than the Salomons.

I don't know what FPRP is an acronym for, but... If it's a dry-fire only gun, does it really matter if it breaks?

Find people who use the opposite pouches and buy/trade them. That's how I accumulated a spare set - just in case. After a couple years of heavy use, I'm still perplexed as to how people break them regularly.

Recoil and mag springs both need to be changed. Try that and diagnose from there.

Well that's hugely disappointing. I was going to make the trek from Wisconsin to shoot the match with friends in the area. Probably not for a Lim/Open only match.High round count matches can be fun. Shunning divisions isn't.

Agreed. It's also a deliberate part of my make ready process, not some absent-minded action.

I'm curious how next year's numbers look. No big Exodus to the division and no major jump in membership so far. It would appear nobody *actually* cared about creating CCP.

Bumping this for a dumb question: what goes in the "Numbering (per unit)" field? Just "1-6" if you order 6 mags? Font? Something else?

Seems like the locking plate is the missing piece of the puzzle here. I just assumed the Mec Gar ones would be identical, silly me.

I ordered a bunch of the CZC rubber base pads for my new Mec Gar mags. None of them fit. They all come very close, but don't align properly with the locking pin. Has anybody encountered this before? If so, have any advice?

Forget pulling the trigger. Set the PAR to 1.2, then .8, then .6.

What about an airsoft alternative?

Received a phone call this morning from my father, who took his girlfriend to her first IDPA match this morning. She's spent a lot of time practicing and preparing, and was very excited to shoot her first match - after watching a few of them. Before the match had even started, one of the SOs approached her and asked, "Do you have a gun under that hoodie this time?" as his way of saying "Are you shooting this match, or watching again?". Well, she swept back her hoodie and drew her new SA 5.25 XDm from her holster. DQ'd. The SO apologized profusely and they refunded her money. Apparently she took it okay while around everyone, but eventually went to the parking lot for a few minutes to let the emotion flow out in tears. Just thought I'd share. While not my own experience, it's something I will keep in the back of my mind any time I bring a person to their first match.

I was in the same predicament. Somebody let me try out their double during a practice match, and I didn't like it. I went ahead and ordered a bunch of singles... well worth the money imo
