  1. Why once Christmas is over? Force yourself to do it tomorrow....or better yet...tonight. You gotta force yourself to do it...especially when your too tired, too cold, or too busy.
  2. #2 for sure. But also make sure you have your weakhand elbow turned up for more effectiveness.
  3. Glad your comin home bro. Keep in touch.
  4. I heard through the grapevine that somebody got their first dead hang pull ups under their belt. Way to go Dave.
  5. I would say if you are pushing yourself, there really is no need to use a timer while dry firing reloads. If you want to chart progress, I would personally set up a number of drills, maybe 200 rounds worth, and go shoot them once a month. Doing that you'll be able to chart progress way more efficiently. The only reason I used a timer during dry fire was for the start signal.
  6. I went off my own experience so I said getting information from the forum is most important because all the info is here if you are willing to take the time and look, dry firing in your garage freezing your ass off because that means you have the fire which is a pre-requisite to becoming a good shooter, and you just need gear that works....which has also been my problem.
  7. Muscle-ups are probably the best overall upper body movement you can do for total functionality. Start hanging from something, pull yourself up and end in an upright support.
  8. Genetics do definitely help, but it's nothing that hard training and discipline can't overcome. I used to not be able to do more than 5, after training my ass off and having the discipline to control what I eat I'm up to doing 27. It's just like anything...how bad do you want it.
  9. Jumping pull ups are a great sub. If you are having trouble at first I would also recommend mainly focusing on controlling the eccentric movement as that will definitely help you build the strength to do unassisted pull ups. Yes this is the hate forum, but I thought advice here might have been warranted.
  10. I loved the movie. If you didn't like it...fine - whatever. That you said it's gay? I'm 23 years old and I'm more mature than to insult something by calling it gay. Oh, but wait...Me and Spook must be gay because we liked it right?
  11. Weather has nothing to do with scheduling the match in advance Rob. You are comparing two totally different things. As was said earlier. Where at, and what dates. If there is a pressing reason as to why it isn't that simple, I would love to see some communication from the President to the membership explaining why. Yeah, it isn't always that easy to get a contract signed....but how many years has this been happening for? I really don't think it's so amazingly complex that a decade is not enough time to fix a very obvious problem.
  12. Yeah, but any given Sunday ya know? The Eagles came incredibly close to beating the Pats and the Packers are a much better team than the Eagles. I do agree that it's a slim chance, but there is a chance never the less. The biggest thing is the Packers O-Line. If they can give Brett time, he can score points with the best of them. I would also definitely double cover Moss and Welker as much as possible. The secret to the D though is getting pressure on Brady....you can tell that he doesn't like getting hit. I don't really think that whoever wins on Thursday will be in the superbowl....I think both of these teams (the Seahawks have a chance too) will meet in the NFC championship regardless. This game (similar to the Pats and Colts) really doesn't mean anything outside of home field advantage.
  13. If Brett wins the superbowl I'm starting a riot. That's something I can seriously see a movie being made about.

I disagree Dave. Under 5 yards I will pretty much shoot exclusively with a target focus. Calling your shots does not require you to be looking at anything in particular, which is I believe a common misconception and why many shooters have difficulty defining what calling your shots truly means. To call your shots the only thing required is knowing exactly where the bullet will impact as soon as you fire the shot. If you are shooting by exclusively reading the target then you are losing time, however you can shoot relying on your index while looking at the target (and seeing the holes appear). People can shoot efficiently focusing on only the sights and people can shoot efficiently focusing on only the target. You start to get problems when you don't focus on either - which is a much more common problem than most people think. Anyways, back to the original point. I personally shoot targets at that range with a target focus, if I'm visually aware enough I can score the holes visually while I'm shooting without costing me time. Although I do agree that calling your shots in paramount at all distances, just because you look at the holes (perhaps "see" the holes would be better wording) doesn't mean you aren't calling your shots.
  15. A few things. Denver's special teams are what lost them the game. Oh yeah...lets kick to Hester twice...that's real smart. Oh and when you don't kick to Hester, have that punt blocked. Wow. The Pats offense played horribly....and they still scored 31 points and Brady had something like 350 yards. I can't stand him, but still..wow. I was more surprised with the Pats defense not being able to put any pressure on Feeley. Kinda funny that once McNabb goes out they start doing better immediately. Asante saved this game for the Pats for sure. As for the Cowboys and Green Bay....I really hope Green Bays wins...it should be a great game either way.
  16. I've shot an awful lot of stages in my shooting career, and there is only one stage I've ever shot that I felt was perfect.
  17. Just got bored and stopped at 148,000.
  18. 11,467 on first try...mouse screwed me over a few times too.
  19. If the bet was worthwhile for me (ie, not betting a $3000 gun for a $400 gun) I'd do it for sure. I'd definitely take something with an optic though. Don't really care much about the comp.
  20. Wow I didn't even see him cut GSP up. He is probably one of the classiest fighters out there. That changes my opinion about Matt Hughes even more.
  21. I used to really like Matt Hughes, but recently I've started to see him like Serra sees him. I also like Serra's attitude a whole lot more. I'm pulling for him to win.
