  1. If you are a true gun guy, buy a Dillon like you would buy a gunsafe; bigger than you can afford. You won't regret it and play the "I wish..." game. Good Luck
  2. This is going to sound weird, but how old are your eyes? ......uh you?
  3. Those machines LOOK impressive as all get out. But why did they not show them running? Are there bugs in the works? I'm still waiting to be impressed.
  4. Just like others said - money. But when I finally bought that 550, I was like--- " man I'm an idiot, I should have bought this years ago! " Then 20 years later I bought my first 1050, and it was like---" man I'm an idiot, I should have bought this 20 years ago instead of the 550 ! " Like Kalaur said above, no one wishes that they bought a lesser press. It's like buying a gun safe, buy the next size up and even if it really hurts the pocket book, you will be sooo glad you did when the dust settles or the wife stops screaming. 1050 for 38's , 1050 for 9mm, 550 for big bores
  5. Hat's off to those bidding, willing to pay above and beyond it's cash value - for a good cause.
  6. Wow, been loading on Dillons for over 30 years and never knew that. I started on my 550 with 44 mag and then 45 auto, so of course, no prob. Just goes to show, you can always learn something.
  7. And worth every penny! Once you get one, you'll kick yourself for not getting one sooner. Go ahead and give Brian a call - it's only money!
  8. I have the both of the free ones, Surefire and Taurus. The buzzer on the Surefire covers more frequency range than the Taurus. The Taurus is just a beep whereas the Surefire is a Buzz. If you have any High frequency hearing loss, which you will eventually get from shooting, especially if you hang around or shoot compensated guns; then the Surefire if better. But good luck hearing them with good ear protection, or especially double ear protection. If you use electronice ear protection, no problem.
  9. Off the subject but WTF is a Blau point? Blaupunkt perhaps? Please forgive me for my spelling. I lived properously in the eighties and have not sat in a German car since. Hence, I do not remember how to spell the name of that German radio correctly.
  10. +1 If Brass pockets are corroded so to speak, you will have to "dremel" them out and then polish the pockets. A couple of guys from the area had to do this that bought brass out of Florida that was from an outdoor randge. Good Luck
  11. Brian - Thank you for your offer. I have it covered. I am not P O'd, just disappointed. You still have a loyal customer. You offer great products with equal service. As usual you stepped up to the plate and that is appreciated!
  12. I think you missed my point. Beefy aluminum billet, then add a pos plastic? Just does not mix. If you are going to go with class, then do it right. You are already at $35, so what if it goes to $36, $37 ?
  13. No big deal, probably just from one of the mfg process.
  14. Primers by design are meant to go pop only when hit from one end only. Does'nt mean it can't happen, afterall they are made by man. I've punched out a hundred or so in my time without incident. Be careful
  15. Don't remember not using two eyes, except maybe when I was a kid. I started reading gun magazines as a teenager, I guess I picked up the tip of shooting with two eyes open somewhere along that line and have been ever since.
  16. That's great Brian, that's whats called giving back!
  17. Just bought the new Gripper to put the Slide glide in. Love it, it is great! Nice and beefy, good quality. As usual, Brian's service can not be topped, it got here so quick for a fair price. Just one bit of criticism though - The set screw is really cheap and cheesey. Here you have a nice quality all heavy aluminum holder, and then there is a thin cheap plastic knob from China on the set screw. It kind of took the wind out of my sails. Kind of like showing up to pick up your date for the prom, who is the hottest chick and she has this huge zit on her nose. Or- just getting a new BMW and finding out your radio is not a Blau point, but is from China. Brian, I would have gladly paid another dollar for a proper set screw, I already paid $35, what's another buck? But I love it anyway! I'm going to the Nut and Bolt house today to see if they have anything better.
