  1. The rear on the FS and Pro are the same dimensions. So the 10-8 would not change POI significantly. Only the front sight is different between the FS and Pro.
  2. I did. I left them in the pro. Put the PC sear in my wife's JG. Everybody's happy. The Apex sear will lower the trigger pull by about 6 to 8 ounces. The FPB will smooth up the pull immensely. Worth it.
  3. Could this happen if the trigger bar contact point has not been smoothed? It contacts the plunger off center and if that part of the trigger bar is "raw" it may have a sharp edge from the stamping process. Just thinking out loud. Kudo's by the way for your excellent customer service!
  4. SSS has machined replacements (stock profile) sears. Apex Tactical has machined modified sears.
  5. I had forgotten that you wanted this for IDPA. Great that Kenny is going to make some basepads to fit. I like Dan's idea of combining three stock pads and taking a trip to the belt sander, as I've got lot's of stock FS pads just sitting in a bag. But to be honest, if SSS makes some to fit that will be the way to go for me as they'll just look so much better that anything I could cobble together.
  6. Don't think they're made for normal basepads. Try Taylor Freelance magazine extensions.
  7. I would NOT cut a sear parallel to your yellow line. That's too much angle and I don't think it would be safe nor would you get a clean crisp sear release.
  8. This does not work everywhere. Try that at a few vendors tables here in VA and you'll be in for a very RUDE awakening.
  9. According to the SSS web site the replacement for the stock front sight is .160" tall. Stock height on the PRO is more like 0.180" to 0.185".
  10. My Apex sears are on the way, but I have the SSS sears in hand already. The SSS sears have the original oval contact point where the trigger bar contacts. They're more like the original sear profile and will require some work to get it where I like. They are very nicely machined.
  11. The 6-32 does not fit my factory sight, nor dos the next size down at Ace - 440 i think. Is this some odd type screw? 6-40, not a 6-32. I think it's 3/16" long, if you can't find one we have them in stock. Yep, forgot that I replace my factory sights with Warren's. Sorry bout that... They are different sizes.
  12. Ace hardware 6-32 size set screw 1/16 hex wrench
  13. One theory is that the trigger bar is too long. Try this, Ensure gun is empty. Take the slide off. Pull trigger back and hold. Is the trigger at the frame stop? Is the back of the trigger bar at touching the back of the slot that it runs in? Push the trigger bar to the right. (While trigger is still being held back.) Does it move without binding? If not, you might solve by removing a little of metal from the end of the trigger bar or try a different trigger bar or trigger assembly.
  14. Don't have his number, it's not on the website (just a fax number). I'll just wait till he put's them on the website to order.
  15. I have a Warren Tactical rear on my pro and it shoot's the same POI. So they are the same height as a pro rear. (Which are the same height as a FS rear, btw).
