  2. We'll be SCUBA diving on Sunday... WOO HOOOOO!!!
  3. Cliff, we'll be at Malabar this weekend. I'll bring them with me if you want them.
  4. We use Nitric Oxide (iNO) quite frequently in the NICU for PPHN... I love telling the Dads that their baby is being treated with "the inhaled form of Viagra." The various reactions are priceless.
  5. I just wanted to post a little update on the ammo subject... Smitty and I purchased the Armscor WS match ammo (just in case we can't get ours there). We also purchased 1000 rounds of the Armscor WS match ammo to practice with here in the States and to make sure we, and our guns, like it. Well... I'm very impressed!!! The ammo shoots great, groups great and I have not had one teeny tiny hiccup. It's got some FLAME in my Open gun, but that's not a problem in the daylight. I hope this is the same ammo that will be awaiting us in Bali. That would make me very happy! Thanks Armscor!
  6. (stop reading this, Tammie... get back in the kitchen and bake me some cookies... and keep shooting Limited.) Hey Cliff, glad to see you on the Dark Side! (sorry I didn't see this thread sooner). I run "untuned" SVs with Dawson +2s and get 24 .38SC. But I never run them at capacity. I load them to 22, ALL the time. I almost always shoot my big stick, even in a short COF. Shannon swears by Grams basepads for reloadability, but I just really prefer that palm-full o' Dawson. If you're still in need, I have 4 brand new Dawson +1s here that I'd be happy to give you. Don't worry too much about capacity on a 140... for capacity you need to have a reliable big stick... and I can help you with that too.
  7. I (an average Jane) have shot a scoped .30-'06 out to 700m repeatedly (Remington 700 mountain DM with a Leupold Vari-X II 3-9x40... I still have the rifle!). And I wish I could remember his name, but a friends friend built .50BMGs out of the Central Coast of California and we shot the headlights out of a car (on his property) with one of his prototypes out to 1000m. Matt Burkett took this picture of me shooting his .308... and if I recall correctly, he challenged me to 500m (rams?). That was nothing... I can't recall the distance but we ended up shooting the rocks on a mountain behind the silhouette range. (one of my most favorite pictures, ever. ) IMO, with the right setup/caliber, 1000m is very doable and nothing fascinating.
  8. Today... as I'm leisurely sipping my second cup o' coffee... A new, back-up Dell Inspiron battery is delivered by the DHL man... YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! The generosity of the members of this forum and the shooting community is unbelievable. From the bottom of my heart... TOD, DALE and ROY! edited to add ROY!
  9. Movie Maker, free software with XP and Vista.
  10. Here's the recording of the LIVE broadcast from the LPR Nationals Awards Ceremony: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/701191
  11. ah, well... some of the new software doesn't work very well... That's ok. I've already figured it out and fixed it... that's what "tests" are for. We learn more from our failures than from our successes... Thanks to everyone who participated!
  12. IF you are watching... please log in the chatbox... thanks!
  13. Hello everyone! Tonight, I'd like to trial some new software/hardware... PLEASE help make my LIVE webcasts BETTER!!! I'll be broadcasting our local two stage (short) USPSA match at Wyoming Antelope Club. Your feedback and participation is greatly appreciated!!! Shooting starts about 6:30pm EST... click here for the webcast ---> Webcast Testing Site chatbox should be functional at all times... please post comments, suggestions, etc. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!
  14. As promised... here's the LPR Men's montage: YouTube version - Slightly higher quality version - '08 LPR Nationals - Men
  15. Had to come back to WORK after Nationals... WOW!!! Thanks, EVERYONE!!! Really, sincerely... this is why I do what I do. I'm so glad you enjoy it.
  16. I paid your fee, Matt, so don't worry about it. I hope you had a good time. Dave, sorry I didn't... uh, Shannon was supposed to pay you... yeah! That's my excuse! (I already talked to Jamie) Thanks for keeping track of the O/L10 match.
  17. Awesome pics, shred, thanks so much!!! I actually included that video of me in my Ladies video that I just finished. (Thanks to a long, Houston-diverted flight ) I see the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow about my knee. I'm hoping he can fix me up in time for World Shoot. Here's the Ladies... Lower quality, short download ---> Higher quality, longer download ---> http://www.theindoorrange.com/08_Nats/08_Ladies.wmv There are some stages edited and some stages missing due to length of video and lack of ability to video on some stages (due to weather). I hope you enjoy anyway. I'll be creating a Mens video too. Maybe in the next week. You'll see the difference in terrain for LPR and O/L10.
  18. I learned a lot from this match... my mental game is very weak. I'm currently seeking a Sports Psychologist because I just absolutely broke down at this match. Nearly quit before it started and I'm not a quitter. I feel like a complete failure and I've never failed in my life. I have a lot of work to do.
  19. The last shooter in the FOX coverage is Mike Burrell... he sent me this when I told him he was a superstar... http://www.newson6.com/Global/story.asp?S=8999749 (click on - United States Practical Shooting Association Championship - ) that's me in the end of that footage. A lot of great media coverage, AWESOME!!!
  20. This was actually one of our less muddy stages... Thanks for posing, Carina! I'm going to go finish sobbing, then I'll think about posting more videos.
  21. Here's a few runs from my squadmates today... it's been a rough day. Athena Lee Stage 16 Randi Rogers Stage 17 Kay Miculek Stage 18 Lisa Munson Stage 19 40 yards, in the rain, with plastic bags on the target... yuck. Athena Lee Stage 1
  22. You guys are great! Thanks so much! I really enjoyed doing that and would be happy to do it again. I almost contemplated O/L10 but decided not to, and glad that I did because I'm hardly getting any regular video due to the wet conditions. Anyone have a waterproof laptop? Nothing makes me happier than when you guys come up to me at a match and tell me you like my videos or now this coverage. Your words here and on the range are "thanks" enough for me. Normally, I shy away from donations... but if any of you would like to help with a back up battery, I'd be most grateful. They're pretty expensive. I don't have a paypal account. Dell 85 WHr 9-Cell Lithium-Ion Primary ... $154.99 Dell 56 WHr 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Primary ... $134.99 Thanks again for the nominations everyone! edited for grammar
  23. I'm in for $5, I think... It's freakin' miserable here.
