  1. Registration is OPEN Most info is on the website, we will be having the Frank and Manny Costume Contest again this year for a unique prize. You don't want to miss this one!!
  2. Yes. I don't have much to do with the Ammo company but they are the official match ammo. Frank should be able to help you. FrankGarciaUSA(at)yahoo.com Also I should be able to get an order form up on the website next week.
  3. Got the stages done today. They are going off for final approval and sanctioning. Assuming all is accepted here is the breakdown. 372 rounds 63 Steel 18 activating or moving targets Will be posting them a few weeks prior to the match.
  4. Yeah, that's kind of silly. They should have put Revolver on Wednesday. Regardless, I'll be shooting both! I enjoy shooting revolver, haven't done it in years. It will be good to blow the cobwebs out of the 625. I have a reason to use those Federal Primers I hoarded years ago.
  5. Brian, As Britin mentioned it isn't the first. But it's always been primarily a qualifier match for the US Teams to the WS. Which resulted in relatively low turnout due to the rule differences and most of the USPSA crowd not interested in trying out for the team.....also not wanting to incur the expense of meeting IPSC division requirements. Flex and Linda have done outstanding jobs with the match in years past. That one in Michigan is still the toughest match I have ever shot to date!!!!! I'll never forget that partial with a no-shoot leaving about 1.5 inches of scoring space! We decided to take it bigger, marketing to the IPSC crowd. Looking at many of the European matches drawing 500+ we're trying to make it a premier IPSC match. Of course the fact we're hosting the WS in a couple years isn't hurting matters. We are getting close to capacity this year without really knowing what we're doing (kind of kidding). I expect next year to be crazy. We have some exciting things planned this year. I think it will be a super fun match. I'll gladly comp your slot if you'd like to come out of retirement!! Shannon
  6. I know everyone is busting on NBC's coverage but their website is really good. You can watch any event you want in real time or after the fact. It is very well done, I watched all the shotgun, some Judo.....it's good to watch all the weird stuff that doesn't make tv but you can watch the mainstream sports also if you missed them live. On the archery, I love the fact that the American mens team looked like a bunch of young redneck country boys straight off the bow stand. Curled baseball caps, goatees, and I'll bet a can of skoal in their back pockets! Badass....
  7. Did a bunch of updates to the website this week. To answer a question from above, per the RM competitors will not be permitted on the stages prior to their walkthrough at their assigned shooting time.
  8. I have on good authority they will be on MatchSignUp.org sometime next week.
  9. I'd love to talk to you about that sometime Erich. I'm interested in learning more about that.
  10. I'm working admin/staff/ro/dobitch, so I have some special privileges. I got a sneak peak at the stages. I think Charles is going to put them up on MatchSignUp but if not we'll post them here.
  11. Hey gang, Quick history, it didn't appear anyone was going to do the state match this year. Our local crew had a lot on our plate with other matches, Florida Section did it last year and no one knew anything about this year. So we had a few drinks one night and we talked Charles into MDing the match. All of Central Florida Section's top match guru's are involved and we would throw a major match together overnight if we had to. August was the only opening in the range schedule at USA so that's what we had to roll with even on short notice. We didn't have time to get a website up and are trying to spread the word the old fashioned way. Not like carrier pigeons and the postal service but old school like email, facebook and forums. I've seen the stages and they are going to be great! I'll be there, Manny will be there and I think Frank will be there as well so you will have some top tier shooters at the match. Manny took MY trophy from me last year and I intend to get it BACK!! Have you ever seen a stage where ALL the targets disappear? How would THAT work? So help us spread the word if you will please. Come if you can but even if you can't please hit all your shooter email lists with the info. FLORIDA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP When- Saturday August 25 and Sunday August 26 What- Trophy Match- 10 stages + Chrono Schedule- Shoot all day, either day How- Sign up at http://www.matchsignup.org/ Cost- $125
  12. Announcement on ammo coming probably next week. Looks like we have the approval, just have to get the order forms and pricing on the website.
  13. Bob's already in but he is shooting Standard at the moment.
  14. We are at about 350 shooters at the moment with plenty of room left. I've been tied up with the ProAm for a couple weeks but trying to catch up on admin stuff this week and next. Will be updating the website soon, match hotel being finalized and will be announced hopefully on Monday. Stages being approved and will start to be released probably mid August. Looks like lots of international support, rumors of Eric coming to shoot Production. Shaping up to be a pretty cool event. Let the stress begin!!
  15. Hi Matt, I have you on the Revo Super Squad. Squad 19. Sqadding is done through MatchSignUp not through USPSA. Any questions feel free to call or email me anytime. Contact info on USIPSCnationals.com
  16. Most stages are done, putting the finishing touches on them today. I'll try to get some photos or video up on USA's facebook. Its gonna be a fun match.
  17. It's shaping up to be a good match. We have our A crew running it, I am confident it will come off great. Awesome value for a top quality match. Come if you can!!
  18. Hi guys, Been slammed with training and the Pro Am coming up this weekend. Next week I will be attending to a bunch of admin on the match and getting back to all the emails.....apologize for the delay. Match hotel will be announced next week as well. Have it narrowed down to a couple, may use them both. Still working on the contract. Have all but a couple of the stages, they should be approved soon. -S
  19. I couldn't find the old post I had on here and unfortunately I've quit smoking now so it doesn't really have as much meaning but..... One thing I always did to increase my safety level is have an open beer or two within arms reach in case my cigarette started a powder fire while I was watching football and reloading.
  20. Still looking for some staff. We have enough IROA officials. I need some NROI CRO's and RO's. We are offering match fee, lodging, food, and some walking around money. Email me if you're interested. SmittyFL@Gmail.com
  21. Squadding is online along with sign up. You squad yourself. Is that what you're asking?
  22. Ability to review the stages from the shooting are will be up to the RM. We haven't talked about that yet. I'll get back to you. Still working on hotel info. Hope to have a partner in a week or two at the most.
  23. Good to hear!! It's also right before the Steel Challenge so if you're shooting that come in a day early and warm your barrel up!
  24. Yes. Registration is open to anyone now. We did the slot system mainly to monitor and control the initial surge of entries and to make sure we had as fair as possible room for everyone.
