  1. You absolutely can't say "I got XXX gun today" and not post pics man I'm sure its a smoker! I'm trying. My #$*##^% computer wont let me upload a picture on this forum. Thinking about posting pics of this pc with holes in it.
  2. Got a chance to shoot one hell of a gun today. Kgunz11 sent me his personal ss gun to try out. Wow all I can say is "I'm sold" It tracks better than anything I have ever shot before. Thank you so much.
  3. If your question does not get answered let me know. I know where some para extensions are and I have STI and SVI mags. Ill stick them together and see what happens.
  4. STI frames are made so your hand gets higher on the grip to squeeze out a little better recoil control. Its the fit and function of a high end custom but without the high price tag You can't go wrong with a Trojan or Freedom Gunworks.
  5. I am quite fond of the Trojan and I don't think you can get as close to a custom for under $1k. MTBfarms has a .40 Trojan on the way to him and maybe he can tell you what he thinks about fit and finish of one of our guns next week. I'm betting he feels like a hormonal high schooler in the cheer leaders locker room during shower time when he gets to play with it some. Just imagine what a hormonal teenager would be like if he was told he would get a chance to sneak into the chearleaders locker room. I'm not getting any work done. Every vehicle that comes up the road, I'm running to see if its the delivery truck. Lol. Thank you Kgunz11 I've never had customer service this great before.
  6. I had a blast shooting with you too.
  7. STI Trojan. Best fit there is. Best price Freedom Gunworks.
  8. It was a pleasure shooting with you today. I would not worry about the classifier curse. I have it too.
  9. Thanks for the ride today. Even after I mowed your new gear.
  10. Shot Miamisburg today. Actually was not a bad match. Some bad hits on the classifier but nothing major. Got to shoot on a squad with fellow team member Dan Carter. (Kicking ass in production division). Paul ran a great match.
  11. Most of my 9mm brass has been picked up from what's left at the range. I don't think there are very many at the clubs I go to running 9 major. So I'm pretty lucky there. I've never had a case fail "yet". When I first started loading with the 650 I had several squibs with no powder. Not sure why. Since I invested in the powder check die it has stopped the problem. I usually do 2 quick inspections. One when sprting brass and one while drop checking in the case guage.
  12. I'm not sure, but ask Bobby Keigans from Freedom Gunworks. He is an expert on the S_I grips. He has his own page in the vendor tents.
  13. Congrats. You have picked one of the best sports to get into. Being nervous will pass quickly. If your experience is anything like mine. The only thing that bothered me after my first match was I met so many nice and helpful who became friends I could not remember all their names. During the winter come to clinton county www.ccfsa.com we shoot idpa year round. Its a great place for beginners.
  14. No problem. Flashlights are my stimulus package.
  15. Michael, you're my horse if you never win a race, don't forget that! That match made me look more like the south end of a northbound horse. It was still fun. Hats off to Conrad for all the effort. Thanks for all the support Bobby. I WILL get better.
  16. Tell me why you had no problem with plates at that range but did with a US popper at the same range? It should be the same sight picture with the same result. Now don't beat your self up over it though, it was a very difficult stage and if you haven't doped a lot of big stages like that with a SS it can be very hard to come up with a good plan on a stage with a lot of steel like that one. Honestly I don't know why the plates went better than the poppers. Some mental screw up. I just realized I copied you line for the range diary. Here I thought that was original. Sorry about that.
  17. I guess I should just man up and post that stage. I do have that one on video. (figures). I hope Bobby does not kick me off of the team after he sees it.
  18. Yea that steel stage was pitiful. I felt like a rookie at my first match. Shooting a Single Stack is like shooting a revo with a mag, you can't make mistakes and that goes double for this match! Those poppers ate me up as well and I finished 9th overall in limited at the PROAM! If you want to get good with the skinny gun it takes several matchs to get things going right with it. I've shot it pretty much straight for the past 16 months or so and I've learned a lot from it. You can't be more right. Single Stack is very challenging (loads of fun though). I can not blame the gun one bit for my bad showing. It is very accurate. I thought I was completely over my flinch but I'm not. Its not nearly as bad but its still there. Only a few inches at 20 yards but that was more than enough to send that stage to hell in a hand basket.
  19. Yea that steel stage was pitiful. I felt like a rookie at my first match.
  20. I'm sure you will do very well at nationals. Good luck and have a great time.
  21. Shot Circleville Yesterday. Conrad can sure put on one hell of a match. My weaknesses showed up big time on a match like this. Tons of steel a long way off. A slight flinch rearing its ugly head from time to time.
  22. It seems like you have kicked a hornets nest kgunz11. I think the word "primer" has become a political term. Thanks for the heads up.
  23. I own a hi-point carbine. It is the only firearm that has NEVER failed once. To make it even better I run junk ammo through it and my reloads that fail inspection. It has a trigger that's like breaking a green tree branch, but for $100 and running 100%. I give them a big thumbs up.
