Huh? When did they come extra springs? Are you referring to replacement springs?Just bought two 140mm .40s - they don't come with extra springs any more?

I do know that "Muzzle!" is not a USPSA call but an IDPA call. I mean as in "they did not even say anything during or after".
As for not shooting there or changing squad, it is not able to clearly identify the sheriff in town would certainly help.
Actually, you can use "muzzle" as a safety command.
I'm glad you brought this up. I agree with Mark, there is a process for this so use it. I hope you can get this worked out soon but don't wait until it's too late.

Have you looked at the Speed Ledge? And they can be put on either side.

I don't regret it...I started out on a 550 since there was no 650 around yet. I do plan to get a 650 to add to my 550 in the reloading room soon.

When I used the match primers, I did not notice any difference in softness. I think I asked around but no one had a good answer. I tried some out in my lightly sprung revolver and there was no difference I could find. I heard the same thing that they are more consistent.

Where are you shooting this weekend?

I received 2500 147. They shoot just as well as any coated 147. I like the fact they did not have a grease ring and they were semi FP.
I would make one comment to the owner of ACME...... The boxes are cool in a retail enviornment, but I'd rather have more bullets or the cost reduced. Those boxes have to add to the cost. Cool looking, but of no use to me. You could get more bullets in a USPS flat rate box without the wood....
I do like the BENOS discount !!!!
So you don't see any improvement in accuracy or anything else over other coated bullets? What is your load? What gun are you using to test them?
I am using SP01 ACCU Shadow. Loading N310. I'm not comparing for bullseye accuracy. I'm just comparing the accuracy I need for USPSA. Don't get me wrong, I'm quite happy with the bullets. I got very little smoke, the barrel wiped clean after 500 or so and accuracy was very good.
Thanks! I am also shooting an Accu Shadow using N320. The other bullets I have are pretty accurate but if these prove any better, than why not go with them. They seem a little cheaper than others so far for the 147s so I never mind saving some money

The Federals are pretty soft and even on my 550, I can get the primer deep enough for reliable ignition so far. Got a match and another practice session this weekend so if there are no light strikes then, I'll call it good. You know what they say about problems, if you have one, it will show up during a match! The trigger pull is unbelievable. I know what my gauge says but it feels much lighter than that.

That's a great article. I really like the variety of drills they use in there, thanks for the link.

The OP stated it was for USPSA Production so no magnets. Front pocket is fine as long as you don't use it after buzzer and before ICHDH. If you put in your back pocket, it can be used without penalty during the COF. If you pick them off a table or similar, you still must comply with location restrictions except you may carry in the hand without penalty. If you have an empty chamber start, remember not to have a mag with you that has 11 rounds or at least download it.

I shot 200 rounds today with Federal SPP using an 8.5lb hammer spring - not one light strike. It felt really nice!

That's just bad design. If they were oriented that way, you could stand up/stand over and have a shoot-through. This just invites REFs for the match.

I will have to add the Perman extra power safety spring I think. Just a little light for my comfort currently. So, not perfect, but ever so close...
That's a wise move. Contact Scott and he'll square you away.

Ordered 2500 147gr 9mm this AM. Ill put them together, and maybe get out and shoot a few this weekend.
Same here. Let us know how they shoot for you also.

More than likely, the MACs are not being found in the scan. I will look up that model tomorrow and see options it has and if it is doing anything crazy with STP or the forwarding.

Pat, this is how I did it when I ran SC matches. Saves time, paint, money if the shooters want to get on with the show. You are not out there breaking speed records, well...not officially. It's for fun mostly so enjoy it. When shooters stop enjoying it, they find other hobbies.

Looking forward to your report Smitty. I just installed an 8.5 lb spring and loaded up several hundred rounds with Fed SPP to test. I should have time on Wed to run it at the range.

Yeah, what A Matt said. Don't shoot Open just cause it looks cool, go with your gut. Like it was said, you're not the first to do this. Me personally, I love Open but to each his own!

Although I haven't done it, the write-up by kneelingatlas (aka Professor Atlas) is very detailed and looks to be extremely accurate! There are many great and knowledgeable people (atlas, eerw, etc.) on here that know so much about CZs that would help if you get in a bind. Nothing like a professional doing it but there is a ton of support here to help you. Don't forget to thank all of them for helping, you guys rock!

Thanks for the code, going to try some out.

Very nice engineering. Looks great also.

Sage advice here. The BOSS hanger is really nice but I put the Comp Tac holster on mine. The 360s are great for the price but the Racers are very nice. I use the 360s for Production and the RaceMaster pouches and holster for Open. The DAA belt is very stiff and they make a less stiff model also. I would go with 5 pouches also. Good luck and let us know your final setup.Get the Boss holster from benstoegerproshop.com It is worth the extra 35 dollars! and I say that after spending 60 to get he hanger and thumb screws for my holster. I have a DAA belt and Racer pouches. I emailed DAA and they sent me the needed Glock spacers free of charge. Also get 5 pouches. I don't think I have went for the 5th one yet but you never know when you might need it to let you do reloads where they best fit the stage.

That 32 limit only applies to LIII and above.I think 5 mag pouches is right. The limit for field stages is 32 rounds. Throw in some make up shots on steel and you are near 40. Drop some mags with rounds in them at your reload points and you are near 50. Clear a malfunction that includes dropping a mag and you need 5 pouches. I'm a mid to low C shooter. I've needed the 5th mag off the belt once or twice. I've never wanted a 6th
Should certified range officers be clearly identified?

I think people get confused with issuing a warning and applying a DQ. A warning is issued when a shooter is about to break a safety rule or in jeopardy. If they break the rule, then apply the appropriate action. Do NOT give a warning for a clear cut violation that requires the shooter to be stopped. Just be totally sure of your call.
