  1. Many use the stock mags without issue. Most issues come up when people start wanting to get max capacity or trick them out. Most stock mags will work fine so don't get caught up trying to do too much to them. The only issue that is about universal is the mags locking back prematurely. That is best addressed at the slide stop. However, I do believe in max performance so most of mine are tuned, grams base pads and followers with lots of polishing.

  2. yeap, I rotate my knives depending on what I'm doing or going or sometimes what I wear (oh crap, will my man card be revoked for saying that? :) ) Love my Spiderco Para II but my Benchmade Bedlam is still my favorite...I love my Halo but just too big for EDC...and I usually have a gun when I can but working at a government facility, my carrying time is limited.

  3. Just about all chrono's (except magno and radar) have problems with a lot of direct light. They work off of catching the shadow at the entry and at the exit and then calculate. If it's too bright, it washes out. If it's too dark, it doesn't see anything. Slightly overcast days along with times in early morning or late afternoon work the best for me. I use a CED M2 right now but I've had 6 different chronos over the years and some work better than others. I like the M2 the best so far.

Forgot to add, the Caldwell is a nice little unit and the programmer who works on the app is very responsive and open to suggestions.

  4. So are these accushadow's good to go right out of the box? No need to get upgrades or more trigger work done?

I would say so but there are still things you can do but you don't have to. I changed out the hammer spring and it brought the DA pull down significantly. Changed out the safety to the thin safety and the detent spring to the Perman spring. Changed the grips. However, it has been reliable and great shooting right out of the box.

  5. For 3G, it seem more important due to the equipment on the belt. There is less interference with other items on the belt as you bend, run, crouch, etc. I know quite a few who even run a leg holster just to get the pistol/holster lower for equipment reasons. Of course, it's nice to have the pistol closer to your hand, less distance traveled.

  6. I have a pair of the scales from Shooting Sports Innovations that I will be selling due to the thickness. They are a little too thick in the lower section but fine up top. I really wish these were thinner but that's how it goes.
