  1. Exactly this one.

Please notice Tangfoglio safety MAY NOT FIT

So does this mean a Tanfoglio safety *might* fit? I hate all of the CZ safeties that are available...loved the extended Tanfoglio safety...
I wonder if anyone has ever fit one or at least tried?
  2. One of the best ways to learn is to go to a match and observe/participate. Contact the Match Director and let them know you are interested, I'm sure they will get you tons of information and give you a chance to watch the activities. Of course, we are all here to help with questions alao.

  3. Both new 9mm mags are nosing up and creating a jamb any help? Gun is new DVC and the factory mags are running great.

What follower and spring do you have? If it's the MBX follower, does it have a ledge or step on it?

  4. The frame is metal, just the grip area is plastic. All SV pistols are really nice, even old ones. If you call Brandon at SV and give him the serial number, he could probably tell you more about it but that is probably mid-90's from the look of the components. I'm sure some of the SV jockeys may know more. Can you give us a ball park figure of what is "fairly cheap"?

  5. I think you hit a key word, "bunch." I'm sure if you added just enough to add blasting media to add grip but no other advantage, I can't see where any good RM would rule against that. You can kind of compare that to the Hogue wrap-around grips with the finger grooves. DNROI has stated this changes the profile so would not be legal.

  6. Along with that article, there is a another very good reason why not to carry your hand loads but I don't want carry on with that here due to rules of the forum. All I will say is, "don't."

I agree you should be loading for competition but don't forget to shoot your actual carry ammo at least semi-annually and keep track of your proficiency with it. When I was a police officer, this is what we did and during the court proceedings, those records always came up. This is just another form of CYA and in today's world, you can't have enough of it.

  7. ...Factory profile to me means only the grips that come with the gun from the factory ...

Why? Profile just means an outline, not exact duplicate. If they meant exact, I think they would have said that. Don't get too hung up on this, the rules say you can put grip tape on it, putting grip tape on is fine but you don't need multiple layers to achieve what grip tape is for, right? It says you can replace the grip panels, then after market grips are fine. Anything else that may change the profile or outline of the firearm would not be allowed at that point, right? It just looks like they trying to give some latitude so you have some options but trying to limit that so there is no competitive advantage.

Like it was stated before, if you have to ask or inquire too much, you are already on shaky ground.

  8. The Cmores have been around the longest and just plain work. The only problems I've had is the switch needing replacement and I had a cracked body one time. The MRDs are really cool but have had too many reliability problems. I do have some but they are only used for experimentation or on .22 SC guns.

  9. I have a little of everything and still like my old SV style mags with Grams follower, spring, and basepad. A close second are the MBX mags. With the updated spring and follower, these mags have been running great. MBX has been great to deal with also. Everything else is a distant third.

You said you were shooting Steel, as in Steel Challenge? If so, you really dont need the higher capacity since you are only shooting 5 plates at a time. Let us know.

  10. This is embarrassing: I am an RO and I can not find the definition of adequate anywhere in the rule book! Could someone please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

    Chuck

Always the jokester, aren't you Chuck?
