Assuming that we are talking about .40, that should be in the 140mm range. You will like those mags!
-
Did they say how many fit in the mag?
-
I wonder if anyone has ever fit one or at least tried?
So does this mean a Tanfoglio safety *might* fit? I hate all of the CZ safeties that are available...loved the extended Tanfoglio safety...Exactly this one.
Please notice Tangfoglio safety MAY NOT FIT

That has been out of stock for a long time. I called around a few months ago and was told by two people that some were on the way but nothing so far.
This one? It's always out of stock. I could check Grauffel or other overseas sources..Sweet pistol.
Get yourself a high LHS safety

Those should be the older SV mags. Did you measure them yet? The only other one that looks like that is the SPS mags but they have their name on the mag. They are not the real old ones as most of those had a dull finish to them.

Nice!Unless you had a target glued to the baffles this is a non-issue. Common sense is actually allowed to occasionally show up, despite the what some people will like you think

One of the best ways to learn is to go to a match and observe/participate. Contact the Match Director and let them know you are interested, I'm sure they will get you tons of information and give you a chance to watch the activities. Of course, we are all here to help with questions alao.

Both new 9mm mags are nosing up and creating a jamb any help? Gun is new DVC and the factory mags are running great.
What follower and spring do you have? If it's the MBX follower, does it have a ledge or step on it?
-
The frame is metal, just the grip area is plastic. All SV pistols are really nice, even old ones. If you call Brandon at SV and give him the serial number, he could probably tell you more about it but that is probably mid-90's from the look of the components. I'm sure some of the SV jockeys may know more. Can you give us a ball park figure of what is "fairly cheap"?

Anybody have an idea what a good par time would be for dry firing this classifier? A par time for a B class run...... (I'm currently in C)
If you are Limited, you need a 6.09 HF to get to 60%
-
Do you over-press the mag release during live fire and maybe hit it softer during dry fire? Try and see if there is a difference.

Did you try using the PIN instead of password? That worked for me.

I think you hit a key word, "bunch." I'm sure if you added just enough to add blasting media to add grip but no other advantage, I can't see where any good RM would rule against that. You can kind of compare that to the Hogue wrap-around grips with the finger grooves. DNROI has stated this changes the profile so would not be legal.

Along with that article, there is a another very good reason why not to carry your hand loads but I don't want carry on with that here due to rules of the forum. All I will say is, "don't."
I agree you should be loading for competition but don't forget to shoot your actual carry ammo at least semi-annually and keep track of your proficiency with it. When I was a police officer, this is what we did and during the court proceedings, those records always came up. This is just another form of CYA and in today's world, you can't have enough of it.

...Factory profile to me means only the grips that come with the gun from the factory ...
Why? Profile just means an outline, not exact duplicate. If they meant exact, I think they would have said that. Don't get too hung up on this, the rules say you can put grip tape on it, putting grip tape on is fine but you don't need multiple layers to achieve what grip tape is for, right? It says you can replace the grip panels, then after market grips are fine. Anything else that may change the profile or outline of the firearm would not be allowed at that point, right? It just looks like they trying to give some latitude so you have some options but trying to limit that so there is no competitive advantage.
Like it was stated before, if you have to ask or inquire too much, you are already on shaky ground.

The Cmores have been around the longest and just plain work. The only problems I've had is the switch needing replacement and I had a cracked body one time. The MRDs are really cool but have had too many reliability problems. I do have some but they are only used for experimentation or on .22 SC guns.

I love the look of that. Do they make a .40 barrel to fit that?
Before anyone says anything, yes, I've read of people shooting .40 out of 10mm guns but I would rather not. Thanks.

Bring the hot weather stuff (sunscreen, drink, some type of energy bars, towel), comfortable shoes, and get ready for a great match. Is this your first Level III match or just your first Area 8 match?

I have a little of everything and still like my old SV style mags with Grams follower, spring, and basepad. A close second are the MBX mags. With the updated spring and follower, these mags have been running great. MBX has been great to deal with also. Everything else is a distant third.
You said you were shooting Steel, as in Steel Challenge? If so, you really dont need the higher capacity since you are only shooting 5 plates at a time. Let us know.

Mine weighs right over 50 ozs and my primary Open was built by Freedom.

... Apparently at least one instructor agrees with me. We'll see what happens down the road.
Do you mind sharing who or how they see the situation?
-
... but the rules are pretty clear.
I wonder if you'll still say after you go through the LI and LII classes. Let us know...

These are cast bullets so TG and BE should be out. I'm leaning towards 231 or HS6, depending on what the OP is trying to accomplish with their loads.

This is embarrassing: I am an RO and I can not find the definition of adequate anywhere in the rule book! Could someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Chuck
Always the jokester, aren't you Chuck?
