  1. Yes, there is only one pattern of 9mm full size magazine, so mags from a GP6, K100, P1, X-Calibur will interchange. The same mags will work in the subcompact P11 if you don't mind the extra hanging out. The follower used has a longer skirt and center post than the originals. I can't speak to the reliability, but a CZ or Henning Shop extension with a new follower and spring could definitely be an option if you want to try Limited minor.
  2. If you dealt with LHS and didn't receive product, get on to your CC provider or PayPal. As near as I can tell, besides holsters, he also took payment for muzzle breaks and hasn't delivered. Sadly, not an option for me as my orders were paid by wire transfer. To lighten the mood.... http://youtu.be/ZYrptNaHMZg
  3. As shipped it will likely start out at 2.75 - 3#. For USPSA Production it's possible to get it down to 2#.
  4. No, the rimfire and .380 barrels are fixed. There is no need for mechanical locking on those calibers as long as the slide mass is high enough.
  5. The Grand Power rotating barrel system is cleaner and tidier than the Beretta. It's amusing when their employees are checking out the wares at IWA. The X-Calibur will get on the USPSA Production list as soon as we can. It's a shame that it has to be approved separately. It's been on the IPSC list since 2012. Nick is wrong on one point. All the Grand Power guns in 9x19 or greater use the rotary lock up system. We do make guns in .22lr and .380acp using a fixed barrel dovetailed and pinned into the same steel frame as the 9mm.
  6. I believe the MSRP on the X-Calibur is $999. The price tag at your local gun store, no idea. Right now in Europe, it lists for 1000 Euro's, so North American buying power wins again.
  7. Keep in mind that there is a difference in the trigger guard between the Mk7 grip shown above and the new Mk12 guns coming into the country now. The Mk12 trigger guard is wider.
  8. There are regular monthly orders planned. Your local gun store can get them by checking with the distributor they use for Bersa, Metro Arms, or SPS. By mid October they should be in wide distribution.
  9. http://grandpowerusa.com The formal announcement is Monday, but it appears the website is live now. DAA should have their PDR holsters available for the X-Calibur in 8 weeks or so. I confirmed with Saul Kirsch last night.
  10. The first non-industry owned X-Calibur in the US arrived at it's new home this afternoon. While it may be a while before we can get it on the USPSA Production list, its no problem if you want to shoot Limited Minor. The importer is bringing in plenty of the standard capacity magazines, as well as the 20 and 26 round magazines. As for LHS, I'm still waiting for several thousand dollars worth of Kydex I paid for in April. Good luck.
  11. DAA should have their kydex holster for the X-Calibur, K100, P45 and P45L. We supplied them with the CAD files a few months ago. We will get the new guns in the US to Bladetech shortly.
  12. I'm afraid that I can no longer recommend dealing with LHS Holsters. While I love the product, the chronic delivery delays and failure to deliver my last order have caused me to cease distributing them in Canada.
  13. I spoke to John Amidon about the Mk12 vs Mk7 issue with Production. It sounds like we should have no trouble getting the Mk12 versions of already approved models on the list.
  14. Never fear. We still carry parts for the Mk5 guns last made in 2008(?)
  15. It's sounding like the power supply itself might be giving out.
  16. We are still hoping to see them land in August, but my guess is the stores won't see any until September.
  17. I believe there is also a 3.5lb minimum trigger weight in SA to be considered.
  18. One issue that apparently came up with our last shipment to our Australian distributor is I guess a change in Australian law (or interpretation). We normally ship dimpled 10 round mags to markets that require the reduced capacity magazines. Sounds like that is no longer an option for Australia, and we'd have to look at the short mag tubes with the plastic bases. Ugh!@
  19. I don't begrudge the banks making a fair dollar. Oh well. There is something to be said about the flexibility of having a bank account offshore.
  20. In Canada the X-Calibur had been held back by distribution headaches. The first distributor only brought in a small number then underwent a corporate divorce. The importer that followed up didn't put them on their first order, and heard nothing but grief until the second order. Now that increasingly more people are trying them on for size, the demand is really growing. You can use Grand Power magazines in your CZ or Tanfoglio (small frame), but to use any other CZ75 pattern magazine in your Grand Power, you would need to broach the mag catch hole in the front of the magazine. In most markets, I would just suggest going with the factory mags. As Australia's laws suffer from a rectal cranial inversion almost worse than Canada's, it might be worth the effort to modify mags you already have.
  21. Well, not to jump the official announcement, but I haven't stopped smiling for a few weeks...... I didn't immediately love the slide scallops, but after beating the crap out of a pair for the last 14 months, I am sold. The weight and balance is awesome.
  22. If changing calibers is a pain in the ass, buy more brass. A 1050 in each primer size is a great idea if you can afford the price. For those that can't swing the added press, my solution is to pre-process brass in bulk. When I'm sitting on sized, swaged, and primed brass, it doesn't matter what primer system is installed on the press.
  23. SPS and the MAC 3011 are imported by Eagle Imports and manufactured in the Philippines.
  24. Wire transfer fees on both ends of the Atlantic eat into my margins. Add a payment schedule to that, and it gets ugly fast. Avoiding the costs adds risk and complication, plus compliance BS. I think the next time that Prince from Nigeria wants me to help him move his fortune, I'm going to ask to talk with his accountant..........
