Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Has anyone on here shot the V3 Competition Tactical or the V3 Tactical yet? I'm curious how they stack up to the Gen 1 1301 Comp. Sent from my moto g(7) plus using Tapatalk
  2. Metro, Citadel, and RIA are not all Armscor guns. They are three different companies which directly compete for the Philippines as a market. Metro Arms Corp is imported by Eagle imports, while RIA is the importer of Armscor guns. I can not recall what the deal with Citadel is. For the previous poster who said they wished the 3011 was available as a 40, it is. I currently shoot one. Parts compatibility with Para parts is limited, but I currently have a Guncraft Para trigger in mine. I have been told that the Posilock mag release from Dawson fits fine, but I am using the factory release with STI 140mm mags. These guns seem to fit STI short/wide dustcover kydex holsters, and appear to fit Para pattern race holsters, although I haven't checked. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  3. I would call rather than use the online chat. I have communicated a bit both ways, and it seemed like the people I spoke with via chat didn't have a clue.Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  4. How much space do they need in order to work? Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  5. In true STI pattern guns, the SPS is the cheapest option. Below that and you start working with Para based guns like Metro Arms Corp and RIA. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  6. There are SPS mags made for Para guns, as well as SPS mags made for STI guns. The Para pattern is the MG series magazine. For some people both work, some have only been able to get the Para type to work. The same seems to go for Rock Island high cap guns and MAC 3011s. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  7. Does your gun have a mag well? I was under the impression that the Mecgar mags would be to short with Dawson extensions.Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  8. I'm not sure. I would assume they would work with the longer para type tubes as well as STI or SPS tubes, but the current production Mecgars may be too short. I've been following the RIA stuff, but I wound up getting a MAC 3011 instead. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  9. Here's a link. http://taylorfreelance.com/shopping/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=25&products_id=135 It appears they only fit the guns that come with a magwell from the factory. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  10. They are a new product from Taylor Freelance.Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  11. I haven't yet. The plan eventually is Dawson or TTI bases.Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  12. The basepad on the STI is a factory basepad, it just runs up the mag tube a little.Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  13. Better late than never. The shape of the dust cover from the front. Heavy and square-ish. The frame cut for the magwell. The different magazines I have. Factory ACT Mag on top (16 round), chopped on Mecgars in the middle, one with an unidentified old Para extension (16 and 17 reapectively), STI 140mm on bottom (18 in stock form) Close-up of the feed lips after cutting them back. I took almost 3/16 inch off at the tops and adjusted the angle to match. The hacked up basepad. Factory metal with adhesive foam. When extensions I have are installed, the ACT tubes get one more round than the Mecgar. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  14. That is correct. I'll get some photos of my gun and the magazines later this evening.Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
  15. I have one of these, but I do not have a large number of rounds through it. The barrel fit and the slide to frame fit are equal to or better than most of the Factory STI guns I have shot. The frame on these is not identical to a para, the dust cover is substantially heavier and the grip is cut short to accommodate the mag well. Internally, these appear to be Para style guns. Mine runs fine on STI 140mm magazines, as well as the magazine it shipped with, which is made by ACT magazine. Megcar P16 magazines are shorter with very different feed lips, and, due to the magwell, require different basepads to seat at all. I chopped up my feed lips and basepads to make them work, but in the future I am just going to order the ACT mags or STIs. For a holster, I am running a Safariland 5197 for a Short, Wide Dust Cover STI 2011, which I had to stretch slightly to get a smooth release. Sent from my LG-D850 using Tapatalk
