  1. We leave out wooden stands and also have problems with club members destroying them (the metal ones we keep locked up). It always amazes me when I come across such things when I go to the range to practice. You figure that people would act like grown ups and respect the equipment..which most members do but for some reason theres always one guy or element which don't...some one atleast once a year shoots out the 4x4 posts holding the wall we use on the rifle range to put targets on.......drives me crazy...... As far as securing the equipment, we use a few conex boxes for all the metal (stands, swingers, poppers, plates etc.) and a corral made of chain link fence with a gate for the larger props (walls, posts, fault lines etc.) We also have 2 atv's with trailers to move everthing. Only small number of members have the combinations and keys for the locks....... Depending on your budget, maybe you can fence in the open ended shed and put a gate on it with a lock, and use something like garden carts to move them around.. Hope this helps... Matt
  2. blah blah blah....... yadda yadda yadda I like using "have a nice day!!" when an irate customer storms away from me mumbling to himself..I always get a "what did you just say" and I reply with a smile and say it agian....sometimes I can see the smoke coming out there ears!
  3. mom always told me " I'm gonna slap you silly!!" 30 years later still dont make sense to me..............

  5. B class 8moa Depending on the type of day; If its bright and sunny and/or the suns at my back, full on. Any other time I turn it full on, than turn it down a smidge so its not a glaring bright dot... Matt
  6. I use a 42in snow blower attachment on my yard machine lawn tractor. The tractor has a 17.5hp engine, auto and I put a set of weights on the wheels. The only problem I have is with the wet slushy snow, other than that it works like a champ.... Matt
  7. My first car was a 1972 Chevy Impala station wagon...dirt brown...hard on the eyes but it was a freakin TANK...I got into an accident coming home one night when I was making a left onto my street, the guys car looked like it hit a tree, my only damage was a dent in the fender and a broken marker light. I loved that car................ Matt
  8. I'm guilty of pulling the plastic tray out upside down also, I do it over a salad bowl now just in case I get a brain fart...

    WATCHES

Here's just a few of my watches that I've collected over the years.
  10. Allo Allo and Absolutly Fabulous were two of my favorites.
  11. I just spit my drink up..LOL.........Bruce Leroy
  12. I live down the block from a cross street that gets very busy early in the morning and in the afternoon. Where my street intersects theres a 3 way stop sign. Every morning I have to be extra careful when I go to work making the left. This morning I guess I wasn't paying attention, I stopped, looked both ways, and made the left. All of a sudden I hear tires screaching so I hit the brakes. I guess the guy coming down the road thought I saw him because he didnt stop at the sign. So now we're sitting there staring at each other, and I just shake my head. As he cuts in front of me he yells "F-ing Idiot" and gives me the finger. I wish I can find a differant way to go but there isn't. I just sit there sometimes and shake my head...................Thats my story......I dont like people who dont stop for stop signs.
  13. I have a JP15 and I had the same exact problem at a local match last year and at the West Point match this year. After talking with Brock at JP we narrowed it down to the mags and he suggested using pmags. After switching to pmags I havent had a problem since. Matt
  14. Although I didn't have an AD, I did get called on the finger once. Now I have a piece of skateboard tape just above the trigger that I use as an index point. Havnt had a problem since. Matt
  15. Ice Station Zebra Starship Troopers and my all time favorite, Escape from New York......Snake Plisken he da man...........
  16. Bought this a couple of months ago to use for IDPA and to fool around with when my open gun is coolin down during practice. Just your basic Taurus PT1911 in 38 super w/ techwell grips and magwell.
  17. I'm a little confused on one thing. If the DQ happened after the shooter was done shooting the match, and his scores must not be deleted from the match results as per 10.3.3, weres does that leave the shooter. Did the match count? Matt
  18. Sorry about that, I was praying for rain so I didn't have to go to my inlaws for a bar-b-que......
  19. I now start at 2o'clock and let the plates come up to my dot. I used to have a major problem with the stars, didn't know when to walk away. I would've been better off taking the mikes. Matt
  20. This is likely the setup I'd like to try with my ACOG, although I'll try the Fastfire II first. Are you using the Matt Burkett mount? Picked it up on ebay for 25.00 shipped. Ultimate Arms I think? Cheap but does the job Matt
  21. I currently use a JPoint also. I use a weaver classic 2-10X50 scope for the long range stuff. I've tried mounting the JPoint on the front tube and also right on top of the scope tube but finally settled on a 45 degree mount off the receiver. Matt
  22. Have you given any thought on getting a Rt side mag release? I recently switched to a mitchell myself 2 months ago and like it so much I put one on my 1911. Matt
  23. I use an old primer pick up tube. Never needed to use it until I switched bagsone day, went out to the range to practice and the third shot I fired was a squib. Yep you guessed it, when I switched bags I didn't bring my fancy rod. That was the shortest practice I ever had. That will never happen again. Now every bag I have has one in it..... Matt
