  1. I use this shirt keeper and it works well for me. Another option is on a new jersey order, order it as a tall in your size ($10 extra). Adds about 3-4 inches in length. http://Hero's Pride Shirt Tailor Rubber Belt - Adjustable Shirt Keeper For Professional & Tucked In Appearance (White, 44") https://a.co/d/f9UGTOf
  2. I’ve always loaded between 1.235-1.240 myself. I’ve had issues with going above 1.245 with not being able to rack out a live round on occasion.
  3. DQ’s are never fun but always a learning experience. I’ve caught myself a few times with multiple string stages. On the second string make ready command I go through my usual routine of drawing on the target and then almost pulling the trigger. Makes me cringe just thinking about it now.
  4. Thats what I had thought till I took mine out and looked at it. Weird.
  5. Actually both sides have the same nut cutouts.
  6. You could try to retap (I’m guessing it’s the standard 5-40) and use the red locktite. See if you can get it snug. If the threads are totally shot you’d have to go up a screw size to 6-40.
  7. If you have access to a drill press I’d try to drill off the head of the stripped screw. Then use a pair of needle nose vice grips to remove the rest of it. Or just use 2 screw holes for the gogun thumbrest.
  8. I guess 10.4.1 could be used to DQ if it’s stated in the WSB that shooting a wall is unsafe.
  9. I fly 2 to 3 times a year and never had a problem (knock on wood). I normally carry the printout of the regulations for the Airline I’m flying as well as TSA just in case. I do find it interesting that TSA added that little caveat “unless TSA personnel requests etc”. That must be a recent change. Maybe the past year or so?
  10. I mostly shoot open and use the Peltor Sport Tactical 500, with gel pads, on top of plugs. I like them a lot, especially the bluetooth connectivity. (I like listening to my tunes during pasting and setting steel.) Whatever you decide on, be sure to get something that has gel pads. It does make big difference IMO.
  11. I mark my brass the same way as grumpy, on the case itself....IMO it's the better option since I can see the stripe when it's still on the ground vs having to pick up the brass to check the head stamp area for the stripe. I does take longer to mark but it's easier to pick out without having to bend over so much.
  12. I found my TV remote in the freezer one time...go figure...
  13. Thanks for all the kind words, useful info and the funny sayings!! It has made this a little less painful..Although I had my wife read this thread and all she got out of it was "whats a Rainbow vacuum"..hmmm thanks for that one Modoc..lol..But after doing a little research I think I'm getting the DC26 canister, with using my amazon rewards points it will only come out to about $250 with free shipping. Not TOO bad.. If it lives up to all the hype I'll be a happy man... All in all, its about keeping the wife happy. When shes happy, I'm happy...... Thanks again, Matt
  14. Well my wife wants a new vacuum. She says,"lets get one of those Dyson canister ones.."I say,"why the heck do we need to spend $400???"..the answer..." the same reason why you have 2 open guns that cost over $7000"...walked right into that one...guess were I'm going tonight.. $400 for a vacuum....ugh
  15. Call me naive, but I was thinking along the lines of 2 procedurals..10.2.2... its the closest rule that I came up with that follows my train of thought...I know it says about WSB compliance procedurals but couldn't shooting under the wall be considered failing to comply?? Edited by me All I can say is WOW were the hell did I come up with that?? Sorry for my moment of insanity....... Matt ....My head hurts.......
  16. I had a problem with the staion 1 locator on my 550 case feeder. The locator was chewed up a bit and the cases weren't flowing smoothly through it. Emailed them about it yesterday, they sent out replacement today. Can't ask for more than that...excellent customer service at it's best. Matt
  17. Is there a setting that would automatically bring me the the last message I viewed in a particular thread? Thanks, Matt
  18. I received 3 black ones during the week from Mike @ Shooters Connection and used them yesterday for the first time. Very impressed with the functionality of the design. Great range of articulation, super slick release, and very sturdy. The only bad thing I can say about them is that they scratch up super easily. I'm kind've a neat freak with my equipment and the scratches bugged me a bit....... All in all, great product.. Matt
  19. Did this one last week in Open..3.95 - 36pts, calc says it's a 73.72.. Would have been a couple of tenths faster but had a trigger freeze on T1 which threw me off..ugh
  20. Did you receive any correspondence in the mail from HQ when you joined? It might be on one of the papers sent to you...I know when you get a classification card it will be on the front of it, but since that may take awhile I would just shoot HQ an email. I'm sure they would help you out with it.... Matt Sorry for the dup info..I type kinda slooow.
  21. You should also contact your Section Coordinator, he(or she) would be able to offer advice and recommendations to you about getting your club started.
  22. I used to liberally apply FP10 to my Bedell open gun until last year. When I sent it back to him one time he asked "why are you using so much oil?".... told me that to much oil is not good for the gun and that it actually makes the gun work harder. Ever since I just put a few drops in the usual spots, rack it a few times and I'm good to go.....
  23. Why is every time I check out a thread I find something new to buy ......just ordered one myself...
  24. I had the same problem with ejecting a live round(1.235) with my Grandmaster when it was factory fresh. In my situation it turned out to be the ejector. Took a file to it till it was able to eject without the round hanging up on the barrel. Matt
