  1. Check here http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=116328 Thanks!! I think I'll wait until they make a shorter stock... I am waiting for a longer one. There are quite a few articles around on fitting stocks designed for the rem 1100 to the SLP.
  2. For minor you only have to make about 900 ft/sec, not too bad for a lead projectile. Do a search there are quite a few minor 40 recipes on the forum.
  3. I think the reason is that momentum drives the recoil not the energy, and it is recoil that affects follow up shots.
  4. I had a similar problem with my 9, I loaded some 124 truncated cone bullets as long as they would go in a mag. I then loaded some lead with a slightly different ogive and they jammed in the rifling.
  5. Are you sure? I've got the 18" SLP not the Mk1 but it has a 3" chamber, or did you mean the SX2 has a 2.75. It is not clear from your post.
  6. I've got one, I have the 1911 and M&P inserts for it. So far it seems fine, but I've only had it for a week. The inserts are quite quick to change, and the holster holds the gun very securely even with the lock off.
  7. Yeah, I gave up too. I bought a TR24.
  8. Mine too, I just ran 2.75 light loads in my first match, no hickups then or since.
  9. Major is 165 PF Not for IPSC standard division it isn't, it is 170.
  10. That's an unusual load, is it an outlaw match? Usually people shoot minor (>125pf) or if an IPSC match major (>170pf).
  11. Zero point of triangle at 50/200, use like a red dot at short range, use point of triangle out to max PBR, halfway down triangle 300, bottom triangle 400. All rough but OK for IPSC targets.
  12. I don't think it is that unique, we were talking about this at our range after a weak-hand stage and quite a few people commented that their accuracy was better. Probably more care is taken
  13. They are a good price and they can be good scopes for the money, but you can't tell. They are very inconsistant.
  14. I've had a similar problem, .40s fired in my HK are very tight in my MP40.
  15. This and your brain and your eyes. Some people have no problem with the Bindon aiming thing and some do. A certain amount of practice will help the brain adjust to it but eye dominance plays a big part too. Only you can tell which is right for you. Personally I have to blink my non-dominant eye to get the dominant one to take over.
  16. Yeah. I was thinking maybe there are some things on the mags that make the dimensions different? Blah. I guess there's only one way to find out ! Check out hkpro.com, most of these questions will be answered with a search there.
  17. Does anyone know if the Arredondo or Taylor Freelance +5s for the M&P are legal for IPSC?
  18. Yes, blinking one eye works for me too.
  19. John Clark is a well known Australian/New Zealand comedian. He's been in a number of TV programs out our way. Popular in NZ for hid Fred Dagg character.
  20. These people have a good mount that works with quite a few magnifiers, I use it with a Burris. It is even dearer than the Larue though. DM optics
  21. Yeah, you got the old part right. I found that using a Burris 3X actually helped my vision because of the focus adjustment. Also I found magnifiers work better behind an Eotech or Bushnell Holosight than the Aimpoint type because the centre dot is diffraction limited. This means that the circle in the sight gets bigger but the centre dot does not.
  22. Mine didn't include any instructions and I wondered what the thing was for, so yeah anyone explain?
  23. I used a DMS in a recent three gun, I had it turned on the whole time. In bright daylight it just looked black but that was OK. I then went into a forest section and the illumination was too bright, I couldn't see the targets properly. Live and learn.
  24. My observation for what its worth, is that people try to load so that the projectile is as close to the rifling as possible without actually touching. It is usually the magazine which actually limits the OAL.
  25. Hmmm, I think this is the humour forum.
