  1. I've used 4.2 up to 'not telling' I find Titegroup in general dirty and snappy regardless of the load. Have been using a stout load of Universal for the last 5k rounds and will stick to it till my big tubb is used up then will try some International as its around 20% less powder and seems to shoot as good/better from other peoples ammo I've tried
  2. IIRC I reversed the block on the case feeder sliding arm as you do with pistol cases
  3. The Alumas are quite thin - apparently they are perfect in getting rid of the 2x4 feel of the frame, Get them chequered so no probs with being slippery
  4. Thats the pattern alright, but non Weaver mounted
  5. The frame is factory drilled it appears and I;ve seen some other pics of Caspians drilled the same ways. The frame holes are perfectly inline
  6. I've spent ages looking and the listed ones above seem to be it. I dont want wood as its for my race gun. Just order a set of Alumas so will see how they go. Apparently they are 1.2" when fitted where a std single stack is 1.25" - will see
  7. ANy other suppliers of grips for Caspian Hicap other than Aluma and the griptape option?
  8. I have a OKO mount on a Caspian Hicap The frame is drilled with 5 holes each side - the rear hole being further back in spacing than the rest ie OxxOxxOxxOxxxO Is this a std pattern and what mount options do I have? Prefer not to have to drill one as the last muppet that owned this gun made a bit of a hash out of it hence why wanting to replace it
  9. Thanks - that should be a good starting point
  10. Anyone have some recipes for 38 Super Major Power using 124gr & Universal Clays
  11. I brought a drive fro my RL.. turned out after days of messing with it (and confirming via phone to PW) that I had a Super drive ( the stub and bases are different) Sold the RL and brought a Super press and its pretty good. Takes a bit of messing around with and really requires all stations full with setting up as when empty the load/leveage on the press is less, and when setup with cases in it and run empty, it hits the stops hard, but when run after setting up empty, misses the stops by a mile. I have a few ideas on how to fix it - its all simple geometry in the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dta-RQFrl1E
  12. Save yourself some heart ache and get the Mr Bulletfeeder I had 2 GSI (1st was crap and so was 2nd) Never even got to seat a bullet with either The collator worked with 1 profile and size 9mm only - sometime... Now have 2x Mr Bullets and they are flawless
  13. 9mm.. it would only collate with 1 weight and nose profile of 1 brand. Buy a Mr Bulletfeeder and be done - they are a far superior product - collate flawlessly, with any weight etc
  14. I had same probs I fixed mine by stretching the spring behind the primer plate detent ball Set the locating tab against the case - its spring loaded and should hold the case in place - no slop
  15. To be honest, I dont think the Vac does that much - I think that it all starts to stabilize once it gets loaded up. I might leave it running for 40 mins and log temps and see what happens, but it appears that with warmup and non warmup, the temp rise dips when you start the loading of the moto, then flattenes out. I can only guess that the reduced rpm from load is the cause of lower temp rise? I have some heat sinks I'm playing with, but unfortunaly the ones I got sent will fit, but only touch the housing on 6 points rather than the whole ID of the sink - will keep searching.
  16. I use Dillon 223 dies for all my AR stuff - no probs. Lee dies were fine also My RCBS std dies wont allow ammo to chamber in my ARs and only just acceptable for bolt gun.
  17. I had one for a weekend would only collate 1 bullet style with consistancy. I spent around 20 hrs trying to tweak the collator to get it to work and in the end took it back. They gave me the shop demo model to try as it did work well when demonstraed, took it home and still rubbish. I ended up buying a Mr Bullet feeder and conversion kit for another caliber. After using the 1st one, I got the parts onthe way for completing a 2nd unit within the week. They are perfect in function.
  18. Maybe not the best choice as a 1st press the 650, but deff the option if you are going to add another to the stable I started with 550, wanted case feeder and auto index, brought 650.. brought SQD, brought 650, wanted swage station, brought RL1050, sold SQD, sold RL1050, brought Super 1050 Have 550, 2x 650 and Super now, 3x case feeders, 2x bullet feeders and 1x autodrive. 550 with casefeeder - personally I dont see much advantage - case feed and auto index is a BIG advantage IMHO The 650 and 550 are different beasts and different reasons. Perosnally I think small cases - pistol and 223 are a 650s main diet, and the longer and oddball stuff is well suited to a 550 as easy to change over and cheap especially given they are usually lower volume.
  19. I fixed my ammo with crimp, Went from low and left, to left, then centre with nothing more than adding 1/3 turn on crimp die each time
  20. I havnt run it for an hour to be honest. I have heat sinks, but they sent me ones not quite what I was after - have to see what I can do with them
