  1. Start it up and walk away for 10 mins and have a Coffee - hot by then and ready to go
  2. I had issues with my RCBS(or Redding?) dies and changed back to an old Lee - job fixed. Wasnt touching the shoulder when used in the Dillons - no good chambering in BA also - but in a single stage with shellholder was fine.
  3. I stripped thread on crank pin - own fault trying to get play out of linkage, - needed the nuts also Sent NUMEROUS emails no reply. Wasnt until I ordered a new machine and extras ($1500+ worth) and mentioned it I got it sorted - charged for the parts and they shipped seperate to the stuff I had coming. Parts + another $30 or whatever in freight when I had 2 HUGE boxes full of stuff coming As I said earlier, I have 4 Dillon progressives, and all the other blue gear - great stuff - however it pisses me off when people go on about how great their after sales service is where in fact its not the case for everyone, I have had shit/no aftersales, and wasnt until I was spending money again someone listened. I'll be looking to tool up some more dedicated machines in the future and it will be a tough choice I think - Red is cheaper, and down the road with cheap spares on the shelf - vs more expensive Blue with (in my case) a BS no BS Warrantee {BITCH MODE OFF}
  4. Dunno about you but my hardware store doesnt have 550 crank pins
  5. I got charged for my stuff also - got no reply for many many emails asking for parts and info - Wasnt until I brought another 650 I got a reply about the broken parts - got charged for them and sent in different box to the main order equalling a reaming on the freight I have 4 Dillon progressive machines, + almost every other blue item them make, but it appears that the 'No BS Warrantee' is BS if you live overseas.....
  6. Cheers I saw that one- asked there too Wood is not really what I'm after - however beggers cant be choosers and there doesnt seem to be any other options Thanks
  7. Try something for a para I'm reading that they dont fit?? The gun is an Imbel which I believe is same frame as SA
  8. What options are avail for a double stack Springfield Armoury?? Cant find anything...
  9. Well my experience on the no BS warranty had a little bit of BS involved. I;d been trying to get some replacement parts for ages but to no avail. I ordered a new 650 and at this stage they decided to listen about replacements for my 550 and SQD End of the day, I get my 650, and I get a seperate package with the spares (which could have been put in 650 box with all the other gear I brought) However I paid for all the parts and got reamed with the freight for the spares.. I have 3 Dillon presses .. the no BS warranty seems to not apply if you're out of the US. Local agent won't honor it either (hence why he doesnt get any more sales from me) I like my blue gear, but end of the day if one of my mates was going to buy, I'd point him to the local red gear man I think
  10. Mine is 3+ yrs old now and never had any issues with it whatsoever. I have just recently changed the settings in it after a friend 'hotrodded' his. It will drop my LR loads of 50-100gr at full speed and stop on the weight with no slowdown or trickling - before it was verygood, now now its excellent
  11. Have Hornady fallen short with the LNL bullet feeder by not having a cutout switch on it? Personally the casefeeder cutout on my XL 650 is a godesend for when you want to take a break, or full primer tubes etc I know its not hard to turn a switch off, however for the sake of a simple microswitch... I'd buy 1 or 2 tomorrow (the price is deff right) however I think RCBS got the collator correct and the dies wrong - along with the price.
  12. Has there been an announcement as to when its avail for purchase?
  13. 1st thing I do is drill the rivit out which holds the cam on, and put a couple of heavy rubberbands around the top to return it. Called the 'fart knocker' conversion. Press is so much smoother and I believe charges more consistant.
  14. I shoot the 168gr CC Brought 12k of them in a order mistake and have been onselling Guys come back for more as they shoot better than the SMK IMO
  15. We have a 'mission' on at work at the moment and I think that possibly somethign like a big kiss bullet feeder die might be a work around for it. I have seen a photo around of the feeder die stripped, but for the life of me, I can't find it now. Does anyone have the pic or a link to it, or would be kind enough to strip one down and lay it out so that we can upsize ti a bit and hopefully get past this prob here at work Thanks Matt
  16. Sorry to drag this up.. I have been away at work. I emailed regarding some replacement parts and a conversion kit and got no reply.. twice... Hard to ring as I'm on a ship on the other side of the world. Not a winge.. I just need to get some stuff sorted fro a broken press and some missing stuff. Thanks Matt
  17. Putting together a setup for my 6mm AR turbo 40deg, and wondering what powder die to use as its not listed by Dillon (obviously)
  18. I'm trying toget hold of someone to a> get some replacement parts and b> order some conversion pieces. Tried the online form and got no reply. Does someone have a email address that has a real person on the end of it?
  19. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the C100 Counter instructions?
  20. Update from a new months ago.... Have strong mount.. no difference.. with the die not touching the shellplate, I get the cam over feel.. sigh... Maybe I should drilla nd tap the stop and put a bolt with lock nut on it to limit the travel a touch?
  21. THATS IT! What is the bellcrank you're talking of? I can't think of what it could be.. name sounds familar lol
