  1. I meant tool head done all the way up. Undo the bolt and see if the shaft is flush with top of the toolhead
  2. I fail to understand how that piece of tubing can do ANYTHING other than cushion the slide actuating lever (13413) against the slide when it goes to move the slide back (out) The back of my slide stops on the Primer Slide Stop (13018)- rubber tube not touching the stop. The actuating lever should be adjusted via the clamp on the primer tube so that it moves the slide up against the stop and then the spring 13936 takes up any over travel of the arm.
  3. Check that the rocker arm is round the right way - from memory there is a hole drilled through the end which is pointing towards the front (ie you) Also check the tool head is fitted all the way down on the ram properly
  4. Nope - nothign wrong with gun or ammo. Maybe a bad batch of projectiles? but they weigh good and measure up fine I believe its a stability issue but no reason for it to come on over 30ish rds
  5. I installed a bearing kit on 1 of my 650s and it is SUPER smooth witht he right amount of drag and no clicking into position. Can outrun the casefeeder loading 9mm now and have no issues with spilling powder. My biggest fix was strethcing the spring behind the detent ball in the primer system - fixed ALL my priming issues 100%
  6. It's a Imbel double stack 1911. They made hicap frames and slides for Springfield apparently
  7. Had it apart. No apparent issues. No issues with the blasting ammo other than over last 30 rds it turned to crap and after clean and back to good ammo - no different
  8. Same issues with all ammo. Went fromgood to bad over about 30 rds of mixed bag ammo that I was blasting off. Now permanently bad. There has to be something wrong with the gun but I can't find it!!
  9. Was shooting 6" groups with 10 shots a point of aim. Now will randomly drop rounds feet low and if they do get paper then way low also. Something is a miss here The proj are copper plated lead
  10. My 9mm 1911 has gone from shooting good and at POA to a shotgun in about 30 rds. Thought it might be leaded (even though shooting jacketed and copper washed pills) but have checked and is fine but gave it a good clean anyway. It started shooting 8-10" low at 25yds and I'm getting rounds that will fall a foot low off the paper. Random.. 3-4 low and then will drop WAAAY low Its not me as I;ve had others shoot it with the same results. Ammo is 4.1gr Titegroup with RN 124gr copper washed or jacketed, powder dropped checked many times and is perfect at 4.1 Barrel to bush fit is good, sights not loose - I'm stuck as to what the hell is going on. Throught that maybe this batch of projectiles is slightyl different and gun hates them but is it even an option?
  11. Are there any grips around for the SP01 with a 'lump' or someting at say 3rd knuckle to space finger out and reduce the amount of finger on the trigger?
  12. I'm not doign it on a commercial basis - I'm on the other side of the world and it would be far more economical to buy from someone already doing ti for the small quantities I need for myself and the 100 or 2 I sell on, but the good ol' US of A seems to treat its NATO allies like the Taliban when it comes to anything firearm releated. I;ve had some help from one of those you mentioned. Did 100 yesterday and I think have problem solved - there may have been stringie brass in the vac attachment to start with from it being a little cocked over and not getting it all out Jammed a 50 cal proj on back side to stop it riding up and seems to be sweet. Rhythm seems to be a big part and I can see how an autodrive will help, but not justified for this setup Something to look at for my dedicated 9mm machine maybe?

  14. I brought a press that the guy was getting rid of because it blew up. The whole primer mag had gone off with the ram at the top of the stroke (I presume your downstroke is handle?) - the index arm had the smallest of bends in it to the point is still works fine as a spare part. I cant see how you could get a primer tube kaboom without shearing on a 650???
  15. That defeats the purpose of having a dedicated tool head and a 1 pass form/trim, let alone the lack of consistancy between batches due to moving the die. Others dont have the problem, so there must be something wrong with the process - too fast, too slow?
  16. I've got issues with swarf buildup in my trim die and vacuum attachment Vacumm has a heap of suck buit get stringy buildup which clogs in the end Trimming 223 brass to 300 whisper length so a fair amount of trimming - 6mm? Any tips or pointers?
  17. How is a 650 designed to prevent shearing of primers? 650 primer tube kabooms are a result of shearing
  18. My Dillons have never seen another primer other than a Federal
  19. Update to this - I've moved up north and now found a Dillon dealer. Gotta get the plate out and eat a bit of humble pie maybe... Richard at Serious Shooters has bent over backwards to help me - keeping the 4 presses running in tip top shape - has ALL parts on the shelf and knows more about these machine than is natural. Seems that the Dillon warrantee does work overseas - just not via Dillon...
  20. Yip. Hit Factor is the company - sell on eBay etc
  21. I got a shellplate bearing kit and the advance is supersmooth - not spilling, clicking into place etc - super sweet
  22. Correct I'll blast this 1000 off and then look at another projectile I think
  23. Cheers - got a bunch of lead and tightgroup so need to get rid of it I'll load some up at 3.8 and see how we go
  24. ANyone got some pet loads? I seem to see through searching - 3.8- 4grs being a common load but want to check 1st as I'm a rifle loader and this is my 1st bacth of pistol Will be running through a 1911
