  1. I still have a ton of single stack 38 super mags from the "old days." Does anyone have any experience using these in 9mm single stack pistols??
  2. I had PRK. Hurt a bit for the couple of days, but man was it all worth it. Good luck. Great decision.
  3. other than the c-more falling off the top of the pistol ...........sweet gun

    Berry bullets

it can certainly stand to get better....thanks for the heads-up
  5. thanks for posting the question...I will be going to the world of major 9mm soon and have to get rid of a bunch of super brass, or shoot it up and wait for the 9mm conversion, ah, decisions, decisions
  6. ah, the search for th perfect ball cap continues...my wife compares it to the perfect pair of shoes....IT IS NOT THE SAME
  7. I view this new product entry the same way I see their single action revolver. Nice, but priced to gawk, not to sell.
  8. now if you could convince her that the greatest danger of reloading is boredom, and that it is a safety issue not to have a flat-screen installed in the reloading area....
  9. I have used them with no problems, but stopped. Don't see the need....
  10. condolences to his family and friends
  11. I have the "older" model 1050, and they have all the spares parts I have ever needed. An older Dillon press is still a Dillon press. The quality is there, and there have been no great reloading breakthroughs in the last decade that would make that press anything less than you would need. Use it and enjoy it.....
  12. Keep in mind that weather has something to do with it. Not that I would know...but I knew a guy who chrono'ed in Florida and found out that Barry Illinois is slightly colder, and things move slower...enough to make a difference.
  13. I know the feeling about being gone....kids have something to do with that for me. Welcome back...enjoy the show.
  14. If you are talking IPSC, then it is really up to you. That is what freestyle is all about. You examine the stage, make a plan, and execute.
  15. you could just shoot it loose and have a built-in excuse for mikes
  16. My 11-year old daughter is still working with a walther P22 until I feel a little more comfortable with her skills. Her hands are very small and I do not want to rush her into a centerfire too soon. That being said, I have a single-stack open 9mm steel gun that I intend to start her with. That should be the smallest grip, with the softest and flattest shooting caliber I can offer her to begin. I built the gun from an old single stack 38 super open gun that has been put the way of the dodo bird.
  17. I have gone to the line without my pistol...had to take a potty break between stages, and ...well...you know the rest....
  18. I will be sending my Keal open gun out to Errol Lawson for some of his 9mm retrofit magic. Another super bites the dust...sign me up for 9mm....
  19. where I am there is only one match local per month and one about 80 miles away per month....add that to deployments and I will be happy to break into double digits for the year....
  20. My back is all screwed up after 23 years in the Army. Try a chiropractor for relief and don't rush to a surgeon's scalpel.
  21. thanks for all the replies it seems like some velcro or keepers would solve the "secure" problem, but the width of the belt is the factor that makes getting the frontstrap high enough... it seemed like a cool concept for a military shooter like myself, but in the end, it will be back to comp-tac, cr speed, and safariland...
  22. http://www.mernickleholsters.com/er/erwb/erwb1r1.html I have seen this set up featured in the Dillon catalog and in the Mernickle website. It is intriguing in its old school design, and the US stampings, but looks like it would not be legal for SS due to it not being "securely attached at the waist." Any thoughts?? It certainly does not provide a competitive advantage, but it does look wicked... Larry L1075
  23. I liked it better when there was one division and multiple classes. Now, with so many divisions, it is hard to complete locally and have anyone to compete with. The shooters are split so evenly between divisions, that there are few per division/class. I shoot limited because that is what we have the most shooters shooting, but I would like to go back to open...except we only have two shooters typically registered.
  24. After several years off of shooting, I recently broke out my old equipment. My old safariland holster must have shrunk since it did not fit over my waist anymore, so I ordered a CR to replace it. The CR is a huge improvement over my old safariland.
