  1. Thanks, it's been 9 days since I popped a cap. I'm going into withdrawal.
  2. 5th Sunday SS/Production Match at BGSL, Wilmore, KY Jan. 31st. Hello people, sorry for the delay in this announcement. I had my left knee replaced last Tuesday, and the pain pills are making me doze most of the day. <g> I plan on attending this, but only as a spectator. Weather.com says we're going to have blue sky, sunshine, and temperatures in the low 30's. Life is Good! The Blue Grass Sportsman League http://www.bgslinc.com/index.php is having their monthly 5th Sunday SS/Production Match match Sunday, Jan. 31st. Match registration will be open from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the shelter at the pistol pits. New shooter registration will be open from 8:45 AM until 9:30 AM. The shoot starts at 10:30 AM. New shooters must be there no later than 9:00 AM for the new shooter check. If you are a member you will need to use your gate card to open the gate. If you are not a BGSL member, simply use the key pad at the gate to call the number displayed on the sign for Pistol (006) and whoever has the Pistol phone will use it to remotely open the gate after you state that you are there for the 5th Sunday SS/Production match. The Pistol phone will be answered from 8:45 AM until 10:00 AM on Jan. 13 st. Also, a little advance notice. Our monthly USPSA match is February 7th., and March 20th is the first annual 'Battle in the Bluegrass'. More info here http://www.bgslinc.com/index.php.
  3. The idea is to stop the quarterback. I personally wanted Favre to win, but you put on the uniform, cash that big check, and you get the hits. A.T.
  4. Opps! Thanks Brian, ya did good! A.T.
  5. Great timing for me. I'll be in lala land around that time.

  8. Hello people, can you believe it? Weather.com says that it will be partly cloudy and 42 degrees this Saturday! What a Heat Wave. This is the warmest we have seen since the middle of December. The Blue Grass Sportsman League http://www.bgslinc.com/index.php is having their monthly IDPA match this Saturday, Jan. 16th. Match registration will be open from 9:00 until 10:00 AM at the BGSL clubhouse. New shooter registration will be open from 8:45 AM until 9:00 AM; new shooters must be there no later than 9:00 AM for the new shooter check. The shoot starts at 10:30 AM. About the only time we will cancel a match, will be because the roads are too hazardous for travel. In the rare event a match must be canceled, that info will be posted on the http://www.bgslinc.com/index.php website on the IDPA page no later than 7:30 AM the morning of the match. A notice of the cancellation will also be sent out to this email list. So if you have any doubt about the match being held, check your email before leaving for the range. If you are a member you will need to use your gate card to open the gate. If you are not a BGSL member, simply use the key pad at the gate to call the number displayed on the sign for Pistol (006) and whoever has the Pistol phone will use it to remotely open the gate after you state that you are there for the IDPA match. The Pistol phone will be answered from 8:45 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday, Jan. 16th.
  9. And,..then these people wonder why they can't get a real job. A.T.
  10. I've been checking Powder Valley for primers for over a year now. They have the same message up there about being 50 million behind. Never tried to submit an order - figured it would be a waste of time. Am I totally wrong on this (I hope so!). Anyone know who has primers in stock nowadays? Thanks I back ordered 15,000 WLP, they arrived in less than three weeks from PV.
  11. A good example is the thread about the 9mm Spartan. Lot's of interest, but so far only two orders. A.T.

  14. The Blue Grass Sportsman League http://www.bgslinc.com/index.php is having their monthly Steel Showdown match at BGSL, Wilmore, KY Saturday the 9th. This is similar to 'Steel Challenge', but right now our bays are not long enough to be associated with the 'Steel Challenge'. We are working on that. Steel Showdown is an action pistol match that requires the competitor to hit 5 or less Static steel targets. Most stages specify a specific steel target to be shot last (Stop Plate) This format is friendly to all skill levels and is a great event to introduce new shooters to action pistol event. Set up 8:30 , Registration Starts 9:00, New Shooter Check out 9:30, Match starts 10:00. **** New Shooters - (i.e. Any Shooter who has not had a new shooter check out at a BGSL Pistol Event) must attend a new shooters check out or they will not be able to shoot. Cost: BGSL member $10, Non- Members $15 – Second Gun $5 (Juniors - $5 with paying parent) **Junior 16 or younger Equipment: Any safe centerfire pistol / revolver .355 (9mm) or above or Rim-Fire (.22 ) We recommend a minimum of 3 magazines – 5 being better for magazine holding 10 rds. or less. Holsters must be a strong side and cover the trigger when the pistol is holstered **Rim-Fire pistols may start at a low ready but must be bagged at the completion of each stage. Eye and hearing protection is required for shooters and spectators. Ammo – a typical match would require 100 – this is with no misses – BRING EXTRA. We will offer a second relay for shooters who which to shoot the match a second time. (Same pistol or different) If you are a member you will need to use your gate card to open the gate. If you are not a BGSL member, simply use the key pad at the gate to call the number displayed on the sign for Pistol (006) and whoever has the Pistol phone will use it to remotely open the gate after you state that you are there for the Steel Showdown match. The Pistol phone will be answered from 8:45 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday the 9th. Yes we will have the match. Yes it will be very cold, so wear layers! We welcome new shooters and spectators. Don't forget we are having a Major USPSA match on March 19/20 as well, see this link for details.... www.bgslinc.com/modules.php?name=BGSL_Sport_SSPROREV&file=page&load=BattleintheBluegrass.html Full information here http://www.bgslinc.com/index.php Thanks for looking, A.T.
