  1. Yes. Busy day.Linda Chico Sent from my T1-A22L using Tapatalk Linda, Do you know if there is a staff only banquet this year as in the past years? Thanks for your work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Found some screws in my junk box that fit, No idea what they are? Thanks for the help. Off to sight it in with slugs. Then see if I like it on bird shot targets.
  3. Knocked the plugs out Dan but they are kind of out of round after doing that. You are probably right about the size. Off to the hardware store. Going to try a Burris Fastfire on it just for the hell of it.
  4. Anybody know the thread size of the holes in the top of the receiver. Trying to mount a dot sight on it
  5. Problem with the 1301 is after ejecting the rd in the chamber, you have to pull the trigger to get a shell to feed onto the lifter or push the catch on the back of the lifter to release a shell. Or like you say, release one at a time with the bolt release. Pain in the ass! I love my 1301 , But!
  6. Got it, As you can see I live in NYS where things are very different! Moving may be the best option. Easy to say, hard to do.
  7. Tried that. Very tricky. If done wrong it causes a nightmare jam and the shells really hurt your finger or thumb. Good idea though. Thanks
  8. How about we get back to my question.
  9. Are you DQed if found not on safe in the matches you attend? If so. I take it that means it is not safe to be downrange in front of a loaded gun. Even in a barrel or bucket.
  10. Being down range of a loaded gun, rifle, pistol or shotgun is not considered nonsense by most shooters even if it is in a barrel or bucket. On a table, down right uncomfortable! Been doing this a very long time. Until recently it was a match DQ most matches. Now, some matches give you a 20 sec penalty. As you know, it is a time killer with a 1301.
  11. You are shooting a stage where you have to completely un load your 1301 because you are finishing the stage downrange in front of your s.g. You have at least 4 rds left in the gun. Beside firing the 4 rds into the berm, or unloading one at a time while holding down the carrier using the bolt release, how can it be done quickly?
  12. Buy a brand new $1500 or less Colt, Armalite, DPMS, etc, 3gun ready AR. Get a decent scope. Use the rest of the saved money for good ammo. Go practice. Targets will never know the difference what kind of gun hit them. JP's are pretty and a great gun but not necessary to hit most 3gun targets. Granted, my opinion.
  13. What a freaking well run, great stages, great RO's kick ass match!!!!!!!!!!!! As usual. Thanks Dean and anyone else that had anything to do with this match.
  14. Where do you get 900 fps. Federals? I have seen Win. AA's at 950 but never Federals. The AA's will not run in my well broken in 1301.
  15. Sounds good to me Mark, Thanks
  16. Thanks, Sounds like it depends on which club you are shooting if you can do it or not. But, if it is not addressed in the current rule book, and was removed from the old rules, that might mean to some that you can legally do it. Reason I ask is at our local match a shooter was asked not to do it. He said because it was not addressed in the rules he was okay. At a different match we were told that after the "are you ready" it was okay. What do they do at the higher level matches?
  17. Can you have your finger on the trigger in either rifle or pistol after the "are you ready"? Is it in the actual rule book? Some say yes. Some say no. Clarification please. Thanks
  18. I don't think Beretta would like the way the loading port looks after taking a grinder to it so sending it back is not going to happen. I will give them a call to see if it matters to them. Gun is kept very clean. I have done the disconnecter test. Seems okay when I do it but like I said, It has done it maybe five times in about 1000 rds. Springs maybe? Hope not as small parts are hard to get for the 1301. Love the gun, but. Thanks Steve
  19. Every now and then my 1301 will double. There seems to be no pattern when it will happen. It has never happened more than once at a time. It will usually go a few hundred rounds between doubling. Trigger group looks okay. Gun has about 1000 rds. through it. It started happening early on.
  20. I agree that a flared magwell is not necessary on a AR. But, for the times that I have not hit my reload just right, it is nice to have one. My STI has a huge stock magwell opening. Do I have a Dawson flared magwell on it. Yup. Hard to find a shooter that does not. I have a Beretta 1301 with a huge from the factory opening to load shells. Did I open it up to make it load easier, Yup. Just saying.
  21. Curious, Why will this cause the block to leak?
