  7. ok, i have the video loaded up correctly. Area 4 Bad Stage listen for the first shot. clearly hitting the pepper popper. notice the RO almost grab me. funny thing about this stage, the next person to shoot this stage, one of my shooting buddys, did the exact samething. talk about crap rolling down hill. lynn
  8. first, there has to be at least 3 GM's in a division for that division to be turned in as a classification score. second, the match director has to turn the scores in on a special form and pay the proper fess. this is has been my experience. lynn
  9. damn rhino, did you forget anything? i know dumbass replys.
  10. as long as your bullets are in a box, dillon or whatever, you will be fine. check your shooting bag for loose bullets. this is a no-no and they will get confiscated. lynn
  11. here's the video: i think there's an error, let's start over again. lynn
  12. i was at the 2004 area 4 championship shooting stage 12 'Home on the Range'. there was this PP that activated a swinger down range, not visible until you move down range to see it. well, i had a solid hit on the PP so i moved on, when i get down range the swinger in not activated. the poor RO wasn't expecting a sudden rush back up range, so he interfered with me. i didn't ask for a re-shoot. i was pre-occupied with finishing the course. what a huge mistake! that course of fire probably cost me 10-15 places in the over all match. i'll post the video later. it's a hoot. "get out of my WAY!" RO's, tappers, and camera guy scatter like the running of the bulls in Spain. what i've learned: 1. if a PP activates a swinger, mover, or whatever. make sure it goes down. duh! double tap the steel if you have to, to knock it down. 2. if for some reason you don't knock the steel down and discover your mistake later, don't go back. the time will be worse than the penalities and the loss of points. 3. if the RO interfers even a little bit, ask for a re-shoot.

i talked to several shooter reps at the area 4 match this past weekend. they said business is too good and they don't have enough people working to ease the growing pains. lynn
  14. i know for a fact that mr. shootergrrl was not at Area 2 last year, or Area 4 this year.
  15. the list should have been a list of beers that are readily available throughout the country, not regional. Sierra Nevada is a great national beer, so is Anchor Steam.
  16. this was my first Area 4 match, ever. i enjoyed the match and will be back if at all possible. the vendors were scarce, but that didn't bother me that much, i still spent the $'s. i didn't like stage 11. the designers goofed and didn't force the engagement of 4 dissappearing targets. there were 2 targets and a noshoot on 2 different rail systems. 1. the stage setup was labor intensive. 2. the resetting was labor intensive. i guess 90% of the competitors didn't even engage the dissappearing targets. this was a good stage gone bad by gaming and poor stage design. all things concidered the match was great. kudos to all involved. lynn p.s. i don't like heavy set pepper poppers. get out of my way, i have to go back and shoot the damn thing again.
