  1. As an RO you are responsible for making sure the gun is clear. It happens all the time. Some people have poor hearing, some people just do it as habit, some people are too happy or mad. Not a big deal at all IMO, just remember you are in charge and responsible.
  2. Either does the 1050... My trigger finger nail is almost back to normal after 4 months...
  3. That is odd. I shoot a 4" as my Production gun (I like the balance better) and have no problems keeping them in the A zone with headshots at 15 yards (I shot them this morning) or even USP poppers at 50 yards. When I miss it is me, not the gun. ps. The stock sights are awful IMO Dawson are much better.
  4. It might take some getting used to. Those groups are a LOT bigger than what I see when sighting in guns after fixing them up. 15 yards is what I generally sight in at, and they are usually a 2" or less so offhand if I don't throw an operated induced flyer. I shoot 5-15 different XD's a week lately, and they are pretty accurate overall. Some people aren't used to the trigger so they get that fixed and generally are real happy about it. 2-3" groups are what people commonly report back and most of these folks aren't super competition folks either.
  5. Pretty simple: Because if you could shoot major, minor guns wouldn't be competetive... The partials and movers eat your lunch against major when you are shooing minor. You don't see any of the big dogs shooting limited minor for a good reason, and with limited minor you can get more rounds in. If the round limit is at 10, there is no scoring advantage to minor since you lose much more points for non A hits. Some might argue that you can shoot minor faster, but my experiments haven't shown that though and I don't think you can shoot fast enough to make up for the dropped points, or the professionals would be doing it.
  6. For me, it wears MUCH better, and it is super slick. It is not at all similiar to nickel plating as far as performance thought it may be similiar in appearance when polished. Did I mention is shows virtually no wear even after hundreds of thousands of rounds?
  7. The first time I got it, it felt like the Matrix movies. Truely and out of body type experience. Everything just made sense and was crystal clear. Becoming an observer instead of a doer is the key for me.
  8. Um, 70% at the nats is DEFINETLY an A class performance, no doubt about it. How many of the GMS shot 95% (2) How many of the M's 85%? (2) How many A's shot 75% (1) Some arguments don't hold watter, the "I didn't shoot X percentage in a match," doesn't work. Time to move on You were in the top 25% of all the A Class shooters (at the national.) So, you beat 75% of the A class shooters. Do you still think you aren't ready to move up? Nice shooting! Don't sell yourself short, and go nail some classifiers and don't be afraid to jump into a deeper end of the pool
  9. Dang you take GREAT photos!!!
  10. Just because you live in the Serial Killer Capital of the USA? Not many places I wouldn't go if I had locals to show me around and speak the language. Lots of places I wouldn't go without a trusted guide. I suspect group of heavily armed ISPC shooters might not be a good target for the terrorist types.
  11. Should have Barsto magwell and exteneded capacity basepad in a few weeks. I spoke with them today and he said the .45 barrels and magwells/basepads should be done soon.
  12. cruiten, Thanks for the correction...
  13. Didn't someone say it was on the draw? That would be before he had a good grip. It really sucks though.
  14. Thanks! We have lots of cool cars around (Lots of rich people live/play here.) We had an Enzo hit a Lambo a few months back, but I couldn't figure this one out. I thought is said Lambo on it, but I didn't know they made trucks. more picture of the type of car here
  15. We have lot of nice cars in Bend but I've only seen one of these, but I snapped a picture while at a stop light.
  16. I really wish that made sense... A good 9mm with a small magwell, good trigger, nice release and good sights seems like it would be real practical to me. Go figure.
  17. There are smart guys working on that one...
  18. OK folks, I get 21 rounds in there (22 at LAMR) and they come out just fine using the stock springs, just pop it on. I think Ralph and Co. will have a big hit in their hand in the XD world.
  19. Lowe, Patagonia, Northface, Mountain Hardware, Marmot, ect. They all have "expedition weight" underwear. Basically tight think fleece. YOu may think it is expensive, but it lasts a long time with good care. I have a Lowe shirt I've used for 10+ years and it is in great shape.
  20. I have some Grams base pads that a customer switched out for Dawson I could give you a good deal on. Save you shipping too if you do the mag trade
