  1. Just the sear and trigger bar as the work together to shorten the travel.
  2. I'll play Nostradamus and lay odds that since they didn't change the mags from the XD45 to the XDM .45 4.5 that they really don't have anything to add by changing the magazines.
  3. That really depends on your skill and how well you can fit parts. I have no way to judge that from here, but we get report of the 3.5# range for people who can properly install parts and understand ow the system works.
  4. Best of luck to Dave! I don't thinks folks have a good idea of what it cost to support a full time paid shooter, their supplies, travel, appearances, ect. There very few places to land, so if he wants to to keep doing the pro shooter thing, he is a great shooter AND ambassador of the shooting sports, so I hope he finds a good home. If not, he seems to be the type to be a success at what he puts his mind to. I would think it cool if Rob and Dave were both driving some 5.25's this year
  5. I have one similar to RePeat out of steel. I didn't machine it down, I just used round tube welded to a 2" flat stock elevated tall enough so the rod doesn't hit the table. It is a gang of 3 also. I made about 2 days after I got a 1050 and 5 toolheads. I didn't know anyone invented one, it just made sense to do.
  6. I should add, the DOH are the same way also.
  7. Here is a 5.25 in the BladeTech Stingray holsters we have in stock.
  8. Well, whatever he does, I'm sure he'll do it well. Maybe that 1911 that Springfield built him for the SS Nats got him excited
  9. Adding some pressure to the trigger spring makes the reset more positive. Give the shop a call and we can walk you through the reset checks.
  10. Shouldn't the doughnut/hard cover be painted a different color? There are some evil stages designers around here.
  11. Some of our local clubs like to bring out the big old donut shaped piece of steel every now and then. Through the hole, typically 5 or 6 plates are setup in line and they must be shot one at a time to make the one behind it visible. OK ... Please, no one hand me my head. This is only a personal opinion, but I think that's lazy stage design. Don't mean to offend ... Sorry. Just my opinion. I don't know about the lazy part, but put it out 20 yards, and it sure does get interesting.
  12. We have a big hard cover doughnut that people put in front of the row of poppers, so as a shooter, you basically have to shoot until you see daylight. You have to call you shots, because with a white steel doughnut and white poppers, you can't trust what you hear. We have a big mountain as a backstop, so it isn't really dangerous. LOL Skydiver, you typed faster than I did
  13. See, that makes 100% sense to me, and I knew there had to be an instance where you could "shoot at" targets and still get FTE's. I'm glad Nik pointed out that he would score FTE's on targets that were behind an impenetrable falling target, since there is a target that stops the bullets before they can hit the targets behind it and "shoot at" doesn't count for engaging those targets in that case even though the rounds were fired in the direction of the targets.
  14. Nik, That is not consistent with your other opinions, is it? Since targets behind a target definitely meet that "shoot at" requirement. Hmmm, I think you really need to think about what you just said. You would insist a reshoot and no FTE behind a wall, but not a knock down target? Schutzenmeister, That makes sense from a logic stand point, but could a competitor argue since you don't know which targets weren't shot at, you can't score a FTE on any of the targets?
  15. We have black in stock, bitone are only showing up one at a time to our distributor and we have grabbed every one they have listed in stock so far.
  16. Which targets on would you give the FTE's? Well, the way I see it, even if he did engage the target (under the wall, per Troy's explanation), then he would get at least 4 FTE's, as he didn't pop off 5 rounds...Personally, since that bullet stopped at the wall, I would say 5 FTE's....Either way, you can't shoot 5 plates with 1 bullet... If he shot 1 round at the star, from a viable shooting location, then I would say 4 FTE's...either way, there are 5 targets out there...We don't score it as 1 Texas Star, we score as 5 plates.... I was just asking if you can just issue a FTE or if you have to assign it to a target. I was thinking about a line of poppers a few days back, but a star works too.
  17. Great reply, but 5 years too late for the OP
  18. The weight is not as much an issue with 10 9mm rounds as it the top round helps it get in the magwell easier on some magazines types, with 20 rounds of .40, weight is an issue for me.
  19. Thanks Scott, Would you tell me what kind of trigger pull could I expect with your stock trigger job please and I do I have to use soft primers? Zdog We do not use reduced power striker springs on any of our trigger jobs, so they hit the same as from the factory. We can make them pretty light, but we don't have a "stock" trigger job, we make them to customer specs.
  20. They might require minor fitting, but not much.
  21. Nice shooting! We are getting a lot of similar feedback from customers who did not expect it to shoot like it does. Of course, they have the upgraded trigger and options they wanted on them. I just hope SA made a big pile of these
  22. The standard mods for competition: comp trigger, solid guide rod, extended mag release, sight of choice and grip treatment of some sort or tape. The trigger is the same as all the other XD/XDM triggers. We have made improvements to our triggers and parts over the last few years and believe are current system are the best that we have produced.
