  1. Great response. One of the better posts I've read in a while.
  2. Springfield's custom shop, and he uses parts from several manufacturers in his pistols. Does he use yours?
  3. I would like to do some triger work on my 5.25. I don't want to change the pull weight or smooth it out. I would, however, like to limit the amount of pre-travel and rest. Can I add the SP trigger bar, or do I have to also replace the sear with the SP product also? Or, do I have to get the entire kit and just use the stock springs?
  4. eerw, What did you do to the SA trigger? I'm assuming you stripped the color? Did you put anything on it to seal it?
  5. I brought home a new 5.25 today. Very very nice! I've had several XDMs and this trigger feels much better out of the box. Very smooth with no loose or wobbly feeling. I do, however, wish they had used a narrower front sight. The stock one is way too thick for the rear blade. Can't wait to shoot it.
  6. eerw, What rear sight is on the 75 SA?

Where did you find an f.o. front sight to fit the Expert?
  8. Mine worked just fine without any modification at all.

Stew, Thanks alot for the response. Thats what I needed to know.

    Lee Fcd

So this is normal operation of the die?

    Lee Fcd

I just installed a Lee FCD on my 550 in .45 ACP. The operation of the press is very very rough now. It has 2 or 3 distinct bumps in the cycle. So much so that it really makes the powder in the measure jump. I've backed the die out further than the instructions say and it is somewhat smoother, but it is still very rough operating. Is this normal or am I not adjusting it correctly?
  12. I've had HPs by Yost, Don Williams, Novaks and Jim Garthwaite. All were excellent guns. If forced to choose a favorite I would have to say Garthwaite.
  13. I was at his place a month or so ago. He usually doesn't come in until 1:00 or so.
  14. Are there any standout factory .40 S&W accuracy loads? I'm thinking in terms of the Federal 185 SWC load in .45 and the Federal Classic 115 gr HP in 9mm.
