  1. Anyone know what/where to get the tool that fits the lugs that Jim mentions?
  2. Just to get an idea of what people prefer. I have my opinions but when setting up I would like to make it good for everyone not just me I may have missed a few options in the poll but I think this will help out a lot.
  3. Grip firm to control the gun and absorb the recoil with the arms. A guy that shoots limited shot my open gun and said the dot goes down. Nope, that's all you.
  4. Good thinking outside the box, if you ask me. But .............. I thought the rules said props such as walls went from the ground to infinity .... or does that have to be written into the walk-thru? I think that you have to say the walls go to the ground and up to infinity now in USPSA.
  5. I heard about this DQ, now that I've seen it I think the draw is more in question on the 180 than the reload.
  6. Pros: Good weather Beautiful range The field courses were good. Cons: Short stages were the weak and lacked creativity. No long shots. Changing course of fire after the match starts. Adding no-shoots. Changing 180's Changing the course description after the match started to have a "Forbidden action" and peoples scores stood when they shot them under the earlier versions of the stage.
  7. I hope they don't skip posting it. There is suppose to be time enough that you can review it and ask for a change if necessary. Since I am sharing a gun I hope they got my request right.
  8. When did they ever allow competitors on the range before registration opened? If you go way back, stages were not published, and ranges were closed until the first squad was due to begin. Way back, things have changed. There is IDPA for that now. I think it is a bit tight to look at 16 stages and drive over and register.
  9. Faded maps. 16 stages instead of 19(last year). Range does not open until 1pm while registration is from 1pm to 6pm. Seems like they are making things tight for people that would like to look over the stages.
  10. Can anyone tell me which month Front Sight answered the question of "is facing down range the opposite of the rules describing facing uprange"? I tried to find it here by a search and couldn't find it.
  11. Do you have to activate a moving target before engaging if it is not in the written stage description? Rule 9.9 mentions something about it for a level one match but I couldn't find anything else about it.
  12. Just checking to see if they were posted anywhere besides this forum since it is past the end of February, see post #36.
  13. Anyone know if the Monster match will be back for 2009? Funnest match I've ever shot and hope it's on again this year.
  14. Antone know if Eric Grauffel will be there again this year?
  15. I like to keep track of things like splits and transition to to mark my progress along with the other skills we practice, so... What are your splits on different targets that you can repeat and successfully hit A's 90 - 95% of the time? It has always been a question in my head and I think everyone could learn what's possible from better shooters. Limited B class 10 yard open - .27 10 yard partial - .35 15 yard open - .35 15 yard partial - .50 25 yard open - .48 All those above are pretty consistent for me + or - .002 For me, the sight stops around the .35 and for to work the trigger with success it's in the .45 to 5. range. If I slack on anything at a match it's the 10 yard partials, they can turn into .45 pretty quick playing it safe.
  16. I'll try and explain the stage the best I can. It was a stage with 2 shooting areas, A and B. Going into shooting area B, there was a target that you had to stop and lean back towards the direction you just came from to shoot 1 target around a wall. It was doable to shoot that target going into shooting area B with good timing of your steps. This way of shooting the stage saved quite a bit of time since didn't even need to stop compared to stopping, changing directions, leaning and then getting going back in the direction you were going when you came into the box.
