Ummm no this guy was talking about a NAA revolver and 22 WMR, not some obsolete odd ball 22 caliber round. S&W53 is in reference to what skooter and Duane were talking about. Specifically this: "Mine actually is. Both of them in fact. A six inch and an 8 3/8 inch." A pair of guns, one Six inch and one Eight & Three Eights inch, that are "Centerfire .22 Magnum" can only be Model 53s in .22 JET.

Having worked on the far side of the counter for almost a decade, it is gun people in general. The great thing about America is any one can own a gun(s). This result is "any one" does. Dreadlocked, unbathed, flip flop wearing, patchouli smelling, save the Earth hippy dipshits buy guns too. This is one incident that sticks out in my mind from several years ago. A couple is having issues with their GSG-5K pistol. It was jamming because they were holding the magazine while shooting. Any way the former Vietnam Green Beret husband had bought the ridiculous toy pistol for the wife, as home protection. After all it held twenty .22 cartridges, plus with the laser/light installed is was "extremely intimidating". It was easy to tell the wife had little to no interest in the GSG, in fact she has a Glock 26 she carries and is comfortable with. He did not like the 26 because it was small and he thought it had too much recoil for her. Although she never gave me any indication she felt that way, she did say she loved the baby Glock. We ended up taking the GSG back and selling her a few G17 and G18 mags. Not a funny story. Sad really. He may or may not have been a Green Beret. If he was, to me it just makes it worse. He should have known better.

I have been using synthetic motor oil for firearms lube for several years now. Specifically Castrol 0w30 European Formula. My quart is labeled Syntec although I believe this oil is now labeled Edge. Where I need or like grease I use Super Lube synthetic grease. And to clean I use a modified Ed's Red mix. I don't add the acetone and use more ATF. My mix is two parts ATF, one part K1 kerosene, and one part odorless mineral spirits. This and a M16 brush will clean extremely well without stripping all the oil off the parts. Which I think is only desirable to do when finishing.

I don't know if it is the lightest, but I have used several High Tech Specialties Remington 700 stocks. They are very light, the manufactured spec'ed weight is 20 ounces. Sent from my KFOT using Tapatalk 2

I have a customer who is in need of a new frame. He is very invested into Para 45 and 40 magazines, other wise I would be trying to get him into a STI or Caspian wide body frame. Para USA does not return phone calls. Practical Shooting Supplies, said to check with DP. Dawson Precision says they have basically stopped dealing with Para, because Para does not deliver. Any ideas?

Well all of our arms hurt after trying. I got the slide to lock back on the Glock 22 three times out of maybe 100 tries. Basilio and Pauley can both do it at will now, even cycling dummies through the pistol. I have not tried that hard since I was 12 and attempting to start our old lawn mower.

After showing this video to every one interested at work, two of the guys I work with can do this with Glock 22s or 23s.

I shoot a G19 with a 3.5# connector and NY1 trigger spring, both Glock parts. Is this Production legal? I would have thought so before. However the recent posts I have read about Production legal mods have me concerned.

The 35 also has a heavier slide then the 34.

Wolf has made the Copper line in .223 and 7.62x39, and occasionally other calibers, for a few years now. It is not replacing their standard Bi-metal jacketed projectiles which are used for everything else, which do attract a magnet. Bi-metal jackets are mild steel jackets with copper plating.

One negative I can think of is it won't shoot. If I'm not mistaken both .40 and 10mm being rimless cartridges index off the shoulder. I have a Glock 20 and when I put a .40 in the chamber it drops down in there well farther a 10mm shell does. Glocks will almost always CRF* from the magazine. I have shot 9x19 through a Glock 22, and .380 through a Glock 26, to prove the point that it could be done. You will be abusing the extractor, short term not a big deal. If/when you would see an issue I do not know. If you planned on doing it in quantity I do recommend you get a correctly chambered barrel. *controlled round feed

I have had two KKM Glock barrels, and still have one of them. I had no problems with either as KKM shipped them to me, but I did eventually run a Clymer SAAMI minimum reamer into both. It cut a substantial throat into both. I swear it softened the felt recoil as well, even with just ball ammunition. I noticed no decrease in accuracy, but I my shooting may not be the ultimate test of such things. I do recommend this for consideration to all who are planing on Major 9 builds with any "match" grade barrel.

Vihtavouri has published load data for 9x19mm, loaded to 1.142" OAL, with Hornady 147gr XTP using 3N38 powder. Their starting load is 6.3 grains and was good for 1170fps from their 4" test barrel. Their max load is 6.9 grains for 1207fps. I have personally loaded 6.6gr of 3N38 under Zero 147gr JHPs and got 1180fps from a KKM Glock 34 barrel. I also loaded Berry's 147s over 6.3 grains. I never chrono'ed these, but they shot very well and were unbelievably clean.

Colt factory 11.5"s are available in the forum of the LE6933, which is the semi-auto/SBR version of the "M4 Commando". Noveske and CMMG both offer factory complete SBRs. And, if I am remembering correctly both LWRC and POF offer SBRs, if you want piston operation.

I have just gotten into a similar system using a XS Big Dot front pared with a Warren Tactical rear. The WT rear has a wide notch with rounded corners and requires a .215" front sight which is just what the XS B/D happens to be, for the Glock model any way. Currently have this set up on a Glock 22 and have a good amount of light on either side of the front sight. I will being adding this sight combo to my Glock 26 and 34 in the near future.

The difference between the factory Glock rear sights of +0(6.5mm) for the 9/40 guns and +1(6.9mm) for the 10/45 models is about .016". Since Dawson only makes one rear sight, seems the .285" would be normal on 10/45 and the .300" would be for 9/40.
