  1. 1. None 2. Never 3. 2, with revolver, none 4. No 5. I would like to shoot ICORE and some IDPA matches with a revolver. Moon Clip divisions need to be synchronized, as I understand it ICOR allows moon clips in all divs and IDPA does not. 6. It takes alot of skill to shoot a wheelgun and I want to learn to do it to bring the level of my auto shooting upwards 7. YES, I"d like to shoot revolvers more often. I would like to see ICORE/IDPA synchronize thier moon clip rules, and I would like to see 38 Special ammo that is 'pre-approved'(for that matter I would like to see all divs have a pre-approved ammo choice)- like IPSC allows people to use Atlanta Arms and Ammo loads at major matches and not go through a chrono for those who don't want to fly/ship their ammo. PS. Tom E, IPSC production is also very friendly to those wishing to avoid the equipment race.
  2. Rayden P226 Elite Stainless 9mm (42.4 oz.), This was on the approved list to the link in your post.
  3. The last post here was in 2008 and as the 2009 NATS are getting close I thought I'd revisist this link and confirm that the Liberator/Tomahawks are still going to be legal for the SW Indoor match.....
  4. Getting a P220 ready for IPSC, what is the recommended springs for: Recoil for 165? Hammer spring weight to lighten the trigger pull? Any other springs to change? THX
  5. I am new to the NYC area and looking to find if there is a master calendar or sectional page up somewhere on the web that will list all the local level shoots that are 2hrs or less from the NYC area. IPSC or IDPA is fine- it's hard to track down the website of each and every club and I don't let alone know where each one is located- in N.C. they have a great page with a calendar and I'd like to find one for the NYC area. THANKS!
  6. So, are these OK to put on a CZ for production class? http://czcustom.com/catalog/product_info.p...836b670f9fe606f
  7. I love JFLowers idea, he must work at my company too...... I mean, it's like the VP of Development sat down one day and said "If I don't make something cool so I can get a promotion I will be stuck here forever, but If I 'develop' a polymer SP,,, then I'll get a resume bumper and the board will LOVE it......., by the time the compnay figures out it wown't sell, I'll be promoted out anyway..."
  8. Ummmm, I don't get it, what's the point. One reason to love the CZ is for the heft, feel and accuracy enhancing fit of a non-polymer frame. Unless it's tons cheaper than the regular CZs..... I mean, a CZ75b will run 450 retail....so...???? All this smack talk from a dedicated CZ lover....
  9. RevChuck- can't help you with the reset, as I just started a 92F myself, but can you give some suggestions on what sights you went to? there's not alot of info on 92s out now and I'm trying to find some pictures of sights on 92s for reference...
  10. there is somebody on GlockTalk in Texas? with a G17 frame up for sale.....as of Dec 17th anyways.
  11. Charlie will take the time to answer any of your questions and has always replied to my calls or e-mails promptly. Class Act !! Above quote from a previous poster, let me add that this is a HUGE help for anythign, my G17 was acting up, (not due to his trigger) but he helped me track down an out of spec firing pin and was very patient on the phone and emailing. I've never had anyone eleses trigger in a Glock, and this is my 1st, but Charlie is just a joy to the shooting world.
  12. Can anyone tell me if BD or TG are temp sensitive (like W231 would be an example of a powder know for it's ability to change under the outside temps over a chrono). If so, how much 'extra' or over PF would a person need to load to account for changes in temps?
  13. I have been using 5.1 Blue Dot, 147 Precisions at 1.080 for PF 132 aka 900ish FPS. FWIW my CZ75 is VERY powder sensitive with any 147gr bullet, and with other powders tested it would tumble really easily; BD seems to give me 'about' 2 1/2 inches at 25yds. Also, I have to load it short in the chamber to get enough freebore (I'm sending it back to CZ to have it opened up). Going to try TG as it uses so much less powder and seems to yield good results!
  14. Hey, this is good info. For some reason I always tought it was to register, well, an alias like the Cowboy's and Single Action Shooters....you know, like "smokey", "chief", "sheriff", "sarge" and stuff like that!
  15. Great tip; now I just thought of one more thing to be very careful of--- since I reload a guy would have to be extra careful when picking up brass at the range.......you could pick up 9mm Luger marked cases that had been trimmed to 9x18 and then accidentally reload them in 9mm luger Ugg. Really second guessing getting a Makarov to relaod!
  16. OK, so I would assume there's no way to trim 9x19 brass down to 9x18 either...that would be just too easy! Thank you.
  17. What are the key properties of Solo 1000 that make it so desirable compared to other powders?
  18. I See alot of mentinos of Solo 1000 here (on the BE Boards) but not many other places. Can someone point me towards 9mm data for Solo 1000? My Lee Loading book does not have it.
  19. Probably a silly question, but can I load boxer primed Brass Makarov ammo in the same set up I use for my 9mm on my Dillon Square Deal B? I'd like one of the recent CR FFL Eligible CZ82s but dont' want to buy a whole new die/toolhead for them. Thx!
  20. Great thread, thanks all fo the info. One thing I too have to do, as many of you noted, is load my CZ75b ammo WAY short, like 1.060" OAL with 115gr PRecisions due to the lack of freebore. I called CZ and if you send them your bbl they will deepen the chamber for free if you ask!
  21. Can I get a liltte more info on this: "Lastly, you should grind down the internal lobe of the slide stop, especially if using 124 gr bullets or heavier, if not the stock lobe will skin copper jacket material from the bullet which builds up and causes all kinds of things get sticky. " Angus suggested I use the 'improved slide stop' for my 75b, but I have not noticed a difference at all and wondering if i need to do some mods to see the difference? I thought there was a way to make it so these woudl close the slide once you insert a mag without touching the slide stop.??
  22. These pics are just great, thansk for taking the time to post fellows.
  23. THanks for all the help and input into the original post I made. It's great to get some info from folks in the know!
  24. You may have also confused the rules from the 1911 society for their single stack classic matches. They allow 'some' bull barrels, but I 'think' it's on guns built before a certain year? That is in no way associated with IPSC or IDPA to avoid confusion.
