  1. I tried the CR Speed and didn't like it either even after doing the cut so now use both the Ghost and the Speedsec. Both are very good, fast and secure.
  2. Barsto used to advertise Witness barrels but only used to manufacture a couple of times a year. Not sure if they still do but worth a try if you can't get one anywhere else.
  3. Thanks for the advice. I have tested the set up and all seems fine but haven't shot it yet. Did you loctite it before actually live testing or do you do this after? I didn't want to loctite until I had live fired to be absolutely sure it will not be an issue.
  4. Mystery solved last night when I finally took mine apart. It seems to be a standard M3 grub screw. The length can vary depending if you need it longer or not. I was able to adjust mine with the one that was in there, but it was a bit of a major to loosen it up even with a bit of heat. However, all sorted now and the trigger is "sweet". I am using Hennings long firing pin and 13 lb hammer spring and the trigger is alot nicer than it was standard from the factory, which I thought wasn't that bad really.
  5. Have a look on www.brownells.com. They stock the Pearce pads and also ship international. The first one in this page? 092-000-002 Fits Beretta, Adds 1? http://www.brownells.com/aspx/ns/store/Pro...RIP%20EXTENSION Those are the ones, for some reason they are described as +1 but they are actually +2. I bought a few for my small frame mags and can get 19rnds +1 in the gun (9mm).

  7. there arent really specs for it because of how the screw sits.. its all feel. Leo Hi Leo Thanks for the reply. Apologies, didn't word this very well. It was more what are the screw specs that is are they M3, M4 and 5 mm/8 mm long etc or what! I have read the various threads here and as you say it does seem to be all feel but wanted to be prepared if I have a problem when I am adjusting this and damage the screws. Mine seem to be very tight so will most probably need to heat to extract.
  8. Hi all Does anyone know the specs for the over-travel & take-up screws used on the triggers for the Limited etc??
  9. HAPPY B-DAY AND ALL THE BEST!!! We can celebrate properly with a few cold ones when we see you later this year!!
  10. Hey Brit It looks like an Alex C-More mount like the ones Henning has in his shop. Just had a look at my Alex mount and I would think you could modify/customize it for a Micro!!
  11. I use lead coated bullets in my Limited and they run very well with no leading issues at all. I did run standard lead with no coating until my supply ran out before then and again no problems and virtually no leading. When I compare this to some other pistols, the others have tended to lead up quite badly when I used the standard lead projectiles after only 100-200 rounds. With the Limited I recent ran close to 700 rounds through it without cleaning and the barrel came out clean with just a spray of cleaner, a brass brush and a couple of patches.
  12. Thanks for the input so far. I have been thinking about all the things mentioned so far so thought I would ask before going to the expense of buying one and then not liking it. I think I will take the advice and try and borrow one to see how it feels. Again many thanks.
  13. Am interested in peoples views on thumb rests on Open or Limited/Standard pistols. Do they help or hinder etc!!
  14. Have you tried barrel dropping your ammo to make sure it is not out of spec for your chamber. This will discount a bad batch of ammo for a start. If they do drop into the chamber freely then it is something else. Also check for any score marks on your brass to see if it is catching anywhere. Secondly the factory ammo may not be hot enough to cycle reliably with the V12 as there are so many ports. Don't know if that is the answer but hope it helps!
  15. Have a look on Henning's site under the "tech" area. In there is a video "Load bid stick mags". In there he shows how to dis-assemble and re-assemble a mag with the 140 pad. Hope this helps.
  16. I am presuming your .40 is on the "large" frame so have you thought about getting a 170mm 38 Super mag and trimming or reworking the feed lips so that it works with a .40? Not sure if the round count would be more than the 21 rnds you can get with Hennings H-141 mag extension but it might be worth a shot!
  17. Do the new Gold Team models have a longer guide rod which locks into the comp like the old models or do they run the standard length which is flush with the muzzle? If it is flush is the comp cone Loctited to the barrel or left as is? If Loctited or left has anyone had issues with the comp unscrewing under use??
  18. I use 10mm mags but for friends I have knocked the spacers out of the 40cal mags so they could load longer. The main reason for 10mm mags is just that so you can load to about 1.175. Leo How did you knock the spacers out and did it damage the mags at all?
  19. Would you be able to upload a pic of your slide with the racker? Interested in where people are putting the racker in relation to the back sights etc. Many thanks in advance.
  20. Has anyone put or considered putting a slide racker on their standard/limited gun to speed up loading when you start a stage unloaded?
  21. Interested in how you did the change to a V6, did you just get it drilled or did you go with something like EDM??
  22. I will happily go along with J-Ho, keep the Tanfogs and get the Para as well!!!
  23. I started competing in IPSC Standard class with a Para 16-40 Limited, the 40S&W version of the pistol you mention and was very happy with the pistol in general. The fit and finish was VG but mine was not as tight for a Limited model out of the factory as I would have liked although this didn't seem to affect accuracy. In terms of reliability, I did have some issues with bullet shape but eventually found a good combo that worked well. The biggest issue I had was the grip size which sometimes was an issue when trying to get a good grip position on the draw etc. I went to the Limited Custom HC after trying one at a comp and loving the feel of the grip etc. The fit and finish on mine is excellent as is the accuracy, even better than my Para, while reliability is the best I have had from any pistol to date, this thing just doesn't seem to jam! Couple this with the fact you can stack your mags to 19rnds with the right set up means you can equal or outload a Para mag. Personally I am absolutely sold and would not go back to a Para, S_I, SPS etc for anything. Hope this helps.
  24. No worries Snaps, its hard to know exactly what you can and cannot do when you have dumb laws made by dumb politicians. I'm in NZ and we have been lucky to date to have not been hit by the illogical thinking behind alot of the Aussie laws! At least the introduction of the 357 SIG rule will go some way in helping you Aussies in international comps. That said your comment on too many beers has wetted my taste buds and I am off for a couple myself!! Cheers.
  25. Again correct me if I am wrong but my understanding of the current Australian laws was that handguns could only be to a maximum bullet diameter of .38 cal with the only exception being for cowboy action shooting & silouette shooting when you need to get separate permission. So when you say there is no restriction on projectile diameter are you sure? As I say my understanding is 38 cal or smaller only which is why alot of Aussie IPSC/Action shooters seem to use the 38 Super in their Standard pistols as well as Open. I haven't heard anything about IPSC allowing 357 Sig as major in Standard but would doubt that will happen as it will surely bring cries for Major 38 Super, 9mm etc to be allowed as well.
