  1. I would say you are a bit more than a dabbler.
  2. I was hoping to do this match and may still be able to but I have aton of "stuff" going on in Oct.. Can't promise anything.
  3. Me coming back to kick butt? Not sure about the butt kicking but I am coming back. Matter of fact I my entry will go in the mail tomorrow along with my renewal dues for ICORE. I have shot a total of 1 ICORE match since ICORE Cup last year and not sure i will get another in before. I may practice a little though to keep from embarrassing myself.
  4. I am shooting the 327 with the Tii cylinder for steel. It is the best gun I have ever used for steel. It is packed to fly to Cali in the morning. For ICORE I prefer the all steel guns. To answer your question. For steel, YES for ICORE, probably not.
  5. GET IT!!!!!!!!!!! USE IT!!!!!!!!!!! I use a mdl 18 in steel challenge rimfire and for practice all the time. That gun was the best gun I have ever owned for learning how to shoot a revolver. Heck a handgun period
  6. USPSA 5" 625 ICORE 627 V-comp Steel 327, the JM model.
  7. I hooked him up Mark. We are going to be at the Courtyard across the street.
  8. This will be my first time at the big one. I am ready to go.
  9. I spoke to Ken Jorgensen over dinner about this back in June. He was not aware at the time that Smith had dropped the 5" 625. I think if enough of us let him know something could from it. It couldn't hurt. I also mentioned a 8 shot gun as well. All of this is worth a shot.
  10. What part of Georgia do you live in? I shoot 2 steel matches a month and I live in Georgia. If I wanted to I could shoot 3. It is just hard to drive to South Carolina one day then to Alabama the next. Sunday I will drive 2 hours to Anniston Alabama to shoot steel it is a shade closer than South Carolina. How far are you willing to drive? South Carolina or Griffin would be a few hours but close enough if you want to shoot steel bad enough.
  11. Its time again for this match. You guys should show up it will be a blast. I plan to be there. I may come sliding into the parking lot on 2 wheels with my hair on fire but I plan to be there. Roger, Frank save me slots for 2 guns.
  12. Thanks guys, I think. If I had known about the steel match in PA I would have been there. I need all the practice I can get. This has been one of the best birthdays I can remember. I have been reminded of how many good friends I have and how blessed I really am. And Cliff, Kaci and I keep our spankings between ourselves. :-)
  13. Not me I'm in my prime. LOL You are as old as you feel. I feel 21 just old enough to drink.
  14. THANK YOU FOR NOT POSTING PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are things in this world I just don't want to see and that is one of them
  15. Didn't know anything about it or I would tried to make it. To late to plan for it now.
  16. It was hot as sin. It was a great time. Thanks to you, Frank, Tammy and everyone else working to get this going.
  17. Frank are you good for set up? I wasn't planning to come over until Sunday this time unless you REALLY needed help for set up.
  18. 160gr. cast round nose bullets over 5.5gr of unique makes major out of my 6" mdl 19. It is pushing about 25000 to 27000 psi so still way under mag pressures.
  19. If this is still on for this Sunday put my name on the list.
  20. Sorry for you loss my friend. My condolences
  21. I have heard all the stories that the heat treat is different and this and that. I have checked exactly one model 10 and one model 19. The difference was not enough in my opinion to worry about. The 10 was ever so slightly softer than the 19. I don't remeber off the top of my head the number. THAT SAID, that was a sample of one each. Proceed with caution. Your mileage not may but WILL vary. This too is information from the internet from someone you don't know or know my background. And every gun will be different. If you are worried before doing anything have it checked. As with any k frame EVEN those factory 357s will shoot loose if feed a steady diet of magnum loads. I know I have done it.
