Hmmm that kinda looks like Johnny Lim's work. I bet he could do what you want.

I also found the 75gr hornady bullets to be seating length sensitive in my gun. I load them a bit longer and that seemed to help.

Red... If I want to remove it use a soldering iron on the screw from inside the dust cover.
Edit to add:
Just to be clear, like the guy below I was talking about the mount to frame screws. Not the C-More to mount screws.

realoading 9x25?
Powder suggestions?

I don't remember what stock you had on your rifle? If you have a carbine buffer tube the standard carbine buffer is pretty good... If a rifle buffer tube then you can still use a carbine buffer but you'll need a spacer to take up the extra space. Or you can remove one or more of the weights from the standard rifle buffer and replace them with one our more pieces of aluminum rod to get a lighter rifle buffer.

Google/keyboard commandos don't usually last long around here.

I think in the last year I have had 2 malfs. One caused by a high primer that I missed, and a failure to feed that I tracked down to a mag spring that I knew was getting long in the tooth but had failed to replace. If built by a good smith, properly prepared, tuned and fed good ammunition a problem should be the rare exception.

Did the gun when you bought it? (As delivered with no modifications with the original mags...)

I'm pretty much leaning towards the M&P 15 optics ready for $750 from budspolicesupply. And S&W is offering a $100 rebate on top of that..
Now, will a CMore work on it?
C-more wouldn't be my choice if you wanted to do any distance shooting. I'd rather see if I could find a used aimpoint or an eotech if you want a pure 1x red dot (might look at the vortex sparc). Or maybe a nice burris tac30 for a 1-4x variable.

Ok, for those of you shooting hand load 55gr, what is your bullet of choice? Like I have said, I have only been shooting the cheap stuff meaning any off the shelf 55gr fmj, American eagle, umc, etc.
I like the hornady 55gr (I buy them in the handy 6000 pack).

S&W or DPMS are both solid choices in that space

What makes you think a 100 yards is the limit? It wouldn't be my choice, but I have a buddy who has an sbr set up with a longish float tube, a titan comp, and an elcan specter dr . He does ok out to 300 yards or so. Not optimal but if you know your holds you can make it work.
I also know the man that Caspian Guy is talking about. He can hit MGM flashers out to 300 with no problems. He has practiced with it enough to know where it shoots. It is obnoxiously loud though.

Well there is that...

Could try the tip of a soldering iron applied directly to the screw.

Yep entirely possible that it is bump firing. A bit more overtravel would help wit that.

The 6.5 ammo with wooden bullets was intended to be used as some sort of blank. The ones I have seen were swede mil surp. There was a blank firing adapter that threaded over the muzzle that was intended to splinter the bullet on firing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:L%C3%B6sskjutningsanordning_gev%C3%A4r_m-96B_m-38B_m-41B_-_Arm%C3%A9museum.jpg
You just totally ruined my vampire hunting fantasy.
Oh don't let that bother you... Intended for and useful for are 2 different things

Thats quite curious. I have a rifle comp installed with the Rocksett the manufacturer supplied with it. It has been on for at least 5-7k rounds with no issue. I wonder what is different about this application. The shock of the pistol cycling or differential thermal expansion between the aluminum comp and the steel barrel or?

In the case of the winchester you could probably try the sporting clays gas piston.

It's been done before. I had some plastic cased plastic projectile .308 training ammo designed to run through an HK 91/G3. To get it to function the gun, you needed an ultra light bolt/bolt carrier with no rollers. If memory serves the bullet weighed like 10 grains and had a muzzle velocity in the high 3k FPS range. It goes bang, the bullet exits the muzzle, and the gun cycles, but thats about all it's good for. Like the poster above said not sure there is a plastic that is dense enough to serve as a reasonable bullet. I think the densest plastic I could find had a density like 10% of lead.

Wouldn't be my choice, but I understand the difference between the winning scores of the Wimbledon Cup (scope) Leech Cup(irons) winners are usually less than 1%.. all that is to say it is possible to hit at distance with irons. If I wanted to do it i'd be using something cheaper to shoot than a .50 but like someone above said to each their own.
-
Yep, you can have a slide racker already.
-
For pliers to mess with the feed lips, I always used a set of cheap channel lock type pliers that I ground to remove the teeth from the jaws. (Also grind a bit of relief on the back of the jaws so one of the jaws will fit between the feedlips).

Maybe a steyr hs50? could put a set of good target sights on the rail and a clamp on barrel block for the front.

Wow... got me beat, closest for me was at a local tac rifle match. They had a m29 mountain gun as the stage pistol I think you had to shoot 2 or 3 shots at close targets. It was your choice of ammo, either ultra light .44 special or full house magnums. I think most folks elected to shoot the magnums. It was a hoot. I can't imagine shooting a whole match with something like that though... What did your arms feel like the next day?
