Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. ^^^ Barricades and tunnels umm...not so much but, options are good. Good stage designs must have options. Otherwisw its just a shooting gallery or a track match.
  2. Interesting video. Definetely a preasure release there. Hard to tell if it is directed at or in front of optics glass. I could see this maybe a problem. My issue was with ejected brass hitting both the aluminum frame and glass. It left noticeable dents in the aluminum and scratches and dings in the glass. The brass was being ejected straight up and the returning slide/optic was making contact with it. it would knock the brass forward/downrange. After adjusting the ejector to throw the brass to the side, problem went away. But not before the seal holding glass failed causing glass to be ejected as well. warranty came in handy here. Good luck
  3. Did some reloading last night. I noticed the same thing when opening a new box of WSP primers. So...Yes. Atleast mine are the same as in your picture. Did function test as well. They work fine. All went bang!
  4. Bourbon here. Angels Envy with Makers Mark close second. Jim Beam if Im mixing, which I rarely do.
  5. I agree it is not easy to seperate/ sort large and small primers. What do others do when sorting out brass. I have a keen eye for the size difference but some get by anyways. Must be a foolproof way to seperate them.

    Shadow 2 trigger

X2 Cajun Pro Kit. Race hammer is as clean a break as youll find. Short disconnect eliminates that long pull. I had issues with the 11.5 main spring. Light strikes. I was using Winchester primers at the time. Went to next higher spring and problem solved. May someday try Fed match primers and 11.5 main spring. Im sure that would be a joy to shoot.
  7. I would recomend Blue Steel Targets. Now mind you they are just up the road from me so no delivery fee. Very good quality AR500 steel used. bluesteeltargets.com
  8. Hello from the Pacific North Wet. I too reload with a Rockchucker. LOL I find it cathartic. Slower than a progressive for sure, but strangely satisfying. Grew up in Norcal. welcome to the asylum.
  9. Ive never broken the glass, but did have the glass eject frome the aluminum frame. The glass and frame had dents and scratches from the brass hitting it. Company replaced it and have never had an issue since. Adjusted the ejector so brass did not hit dot.
  10. Timney trigger is the go to around here. Ive seen them installed on Glock, Shadow Systems and even Poly80 frames. Very clever platform. Wonder when we will see these triggers on new pistols.
  11. I would have to second the CZ S2. I have old eyes and when Limited was too difficult for me I went with a CZ S2 optic ready. Shot CO for awhile and now LO with the addition of a magwell. Springs are important and you can start locked and cocked in LO. No messing with DA if you do not want to. Added an extended safety. Makes a huge difference.
  12. Hopefuly you can make that method your own. It should work for you and its easy to redefine with a little practice. I was shown this so many years ago I dont remember who should get credit for it. Might also use this as a start for strong hand/ weak hand. Easy to transfer gun to weak hand at chest then push out. Also keeps your weak hand near chest so you dont sweep it while shooting strong hand. Good Luck
  13. My LH comes up an inch or so away from chest, joins grip and presses straight out to eye level. I pick up dot at full extension. the dot is almost always right on the target. If not I put in more dryfire time until it is. Its funny whenever i lose the dot during a stage its always because I dont have arms fully extended. So if/when I lose dot, I push out to full extension and what do you know, there it is.
  14. In my humble opinion its all about the optic. The addition of the optic (LO) is what allowed me to continue shooting my beloved 2011. eyesight had all but taken me out of Limited. With the an SRO on my trusty Edge its damn fun to shoot again. That said , doent it make sense to shape Production and Carry Optics into more of a Production and Production Optic. Production rules with or without an optic.
  15. Add me to the "Pro thumbrest side" Acts as an grip index and helps with recoil, although maybe not as much as you would think. Helps me keep shots tight.
