  1. I looked into this a while back and it seems like 8 mm would be best. Could not find a good source for them without buying 100. The 6 mm long ones are used for a Glock MOS so those are pretty easy to find. If you end up with 100 and want to off load a few shoot me a message…
  2. SRO. Same footprint as RMR, plus the relief on top of slide for the optic hood/shroud.
  3. You are on the right track. The angle of the cut should be at the same angle of the barrel, on CZ it always looks extreme. The greater height over bore offset will give greater changes to POA/POI, at distances you are not zeroed for. Personally, I think a zero at 25 is ideal. For one thing, confirming at further distance helps verify your zero is correct in my experience. (Say zero at 10, then confirm at 25 and it becomes apparent if the windage is off). 25 yard zero means anything inside of 25 yards, typical match distances, will be offset from the dot only in one direction. I will never have to be thinking about if the bullet will impact above or below the dot. And the maximum distance I would have to account for would be at point blank range. The height over bore distance, I don’t know 1.25 inches max? those are my opinions anyways, not an expert
  4. OEM Shadow 2 optics ready plate is about .100 thick. .400 long screws stick out .100 from bottom of SRO. so around .400 gives full engagement. One nice feature of the factory optics ready design is the clearance in the slide for longer screws. This is a very smart move compared to some of the other factory optics ready slides. I think people bottoming out screws is a huge problem, and why we are seeing failures with plates and sheared screws.
  5. I’m thinking about picking up a used polymer rival, it does not come with the factory holster. Hoping to test the pistol some before investing in gear… Anybody have experience if it will fit in a comptac Glock 34 holster? Or a Glock with light holster? i’ve use the Glock with X300 holster for a number of non-Glock pistols, but they don’t all fit. If anybody has holsters laying around and can test, I would appreciate it.
  6. I’m back, trying not to spend a bunch of money on grips that don’t work. Are you able to measure the width/thickness of the PD grips at the grip screw? LOK palm swells are WAY too small for me. Not sure how to make things work with having enough room to put my support hand on this pistol.
  7. Assuming you are talking optic to plate, it’s the 6–32 screws described in this thread. Or the ones that come with the optic. The screws I was struggling with were the metric ones, which should have come with your plate.
  8. I certainly don’t. That’s why I asked.
  9. Can you elaborate on the question? I do not understand what you were looking for.. Function like pull trigger hammer go bang? Put safety on hammer doesn’t go bang anymore?
  10. No secret that I’m aware of. There’s enough wiggle room to get it off with the spring in place.
  11. there have been rumblings about an NDA that expires in June. Maybe it’s related.
  12. Chef, it’s been a while. What did you decide?
  13. What makes the TF extensions better? after some broken TTI time to explore other options
  14. No torx head. Tried a couple fastener places and they have hex key only. That 1/16 bit worries me for stripping and I don’t even have the right bit for the fat wrench.
  15. it’s the metric screws, for optic plate to slide I’m struggling with.
  16. CZ customer service replied stating they use 8mm long screws. any sources besides ordering 100 from McMaster? Slightly overkill
  17. do you find the grip to be large enough? The polymer one felt pretty small to me.
  18. Thanks for sharing. Definitely going to try that method
  19. recently tried some ‘offbrand’ from Amazon, I’m not sure it’s any better/worse than pro grip. Seems to be just fine.
  20. There may be some value in folks buying new toys and that motivating them to get out and participate. I’ve seen this happen to a number of times where people get excited about the sport and the new gear keeps them coming back.
  21. I thought it was 2, been a few years though maybe I remember incorrectly.
  22. My first handful of matches, thought that long ago, was just some 115 grain stuff off the shelf. Can say with confidence that having lighter or “better” ammo would not have improved the score.
  23. Every time I see a comment about selling a S2, I become much more intrigued by these pistols. Guess I need to get my hands on one and check it out.
  24. Good stuff. Data is fun, I may need to replicate that graph.
