  1. I really like using my surfire plugs when I double up. Polytech
  2. Do you guys know where the cheapest place might be to get a cr speed belt and four cr mag pouches? Thanks Polytech
  3. I have one and I love it, great handguard. I installed it myself, didn't degrease propperly the first time and I had to clean it up re-do it. Has anyone ever indexed the outter nut like you would with a comp, by taking just enough material off the back so it bottoms out on the reciever? Polytech
  4. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&...24&t=378095 I'm gonna buy about 10 of the 42 rounders PS. Shooting a SCAR is awesome!
  5. Ooooh man.... I've already committed to one...Sorry that would have been nice though.... Unless your just going to be really nice and give it to me then I can sell back the one I have on the way .... Sound good...... I don't think so this time but good try What might it take to get that certificate? Polytech
  6. You took a gamble picking a bag and not taking the "known quantity" rifle/shotgun/pistol, man up and deal with it. This was no different than last year. I think the grab bags need to stay, its great for somebody to come in 50something place to recieve something more than a t-shirt and a hat. If you don't like that, maybe you need to host your own match and solicit prizes from the manufactures for your own prize table and then you can give all the good stuff to the top guys and shaft the lower guys with cheesey promotional materials. Don't worry, I won't be there, I'm sure I wouldn't get a "return" on my match investment anyway. Polytech
  7. I managed to get my arredondo couplers on to my P-mags without any modifications, it was quite difficult though
  8. Hope you all had a good time! I had a great time ROing and shooting. Polytech
  9. Does anyone make a new bolt handle for the FN's and also a nice big bolt relase button? Thanks Polytech
  10. Another vote for the V-tac, I've got both models (padded and non-padded) I have the MK1 on my light carbine, and the MK2 on my heavy rifle Polytech
  11. I've been real happy with my FN, I haven't had any problems so far. The benelli crowd will tell you they're not worth much, because well, they're not benelli's. But I'm not too concerned about it, I shoot 3 gun to have fun and my SLP gets the job done just fine. Just make sure you have the correct piston in the gun for the loads you are shooting. And as far as the weight of the gun goes I haven't noticed a difference in the handling of it on the 3-gun range versus the lighter guns, now out shooting quail that might be a different story. Polytech
  12. I wear a maxpedition rolly polly bag on my shooting belt, all the mags that have hit the dirt or left the gun go back into that pouch until they get reloaded and placed in my mag pouches and strongside pockets. When not in use its rolled up on the belt and I don't notice it. Polytech
  13. I have it on good authority from someone who deals with C Products on a weekly basis for a retailer, Brownells gets their mags from C Products. There is nothing proprietary about them, other than the floorplate that says "brownells". Polytech
  14. I'm looking for some shell trays that are molle compatable and can have the angle adjusted. But molle compatable is more important than being able to adjust the cant. I've thought about modifying some, but I thought I would check to see if some exist first. Thanks Polytech
  15. Try high temp wheel bearing grease from the auto parts store, works great and sticks around for a long time unlike the thin oils. Its also freaking cheap Polytech
  16. I would skip the single point sling and go with a quick adjust two point sling like the Vtac, or Vicker's from Blue force. One points don't carry well, there's no muzzle control with them. If you bend down the muzzle will go in the dirt unless you are constantly holding the gun. Two points are a much better option. Polytech
  17. I've got 5k of wolf polymer 62gr through my dpms m4gery. I have not had any major malfunctions yet. It is not as consistant as other foreign or domestic ammo, but for the price it allows me to get a lot more practice for my $$$. I have replaced my gas rings once because they were looking a little thin on one side somewhere around 3k, they were original to the gun (which was used when I got it, unknow previous round count) Polytech
  18. I would go with one of the 6004 variants and do a "high ride" mod on it. For the high ride you trim the shroud eliminating the top leg strap so you can get it up as high as an inch or two below your belt. I would also get a SOE cqb subload for my rifle mags for the weak side. But all of that will not work properly if you don't have the foundation of a solid gun belt, but you probably know that already
  19. I use Okay, or C-products. When I buy mags from a "store" as in not from classifieds I use 44mag.com very quick service and usually about the best price, and you can get the mags with the magpul follower already installed. I believe the brownells mags are C-products, they look identical. The new mag-pul polymer mags look promising, I'm waiting for the FDE ones to hit the shelves to try some out. As far as not using a beta or a larger mag ie 45+ some people (like myself) use the three gun as a supplement to training, and beta's and huge mags aren't generally practical outside of a hoser stage. 20. Give cmmg a call, they always have stripped lowers at the shows. They're good guys and they have an awsome logo Polytech
  21. ar15- DPMS M4gery with an eotech, pistol- charles daly 1911, shotgun- winchester 1300 defender. I'm just a newbie so I'm running what I already have Brad
  22. I was looking around their site while making a list of parts for a new gun and found the heatsink. Do any of you guys have any experience with this part? I know their site says it improves cooling and barrel life, but I like to get outside opinions first. It seems like a cheap solution to extending barrel life, if it works. Brad
  23. CMMG guns are top notch, and their customer service is excellent. They will also do diff. profiles on some of their barrels if you don't see one that you like.
