Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Sorry to hear about all the issues. If your version of events is true I would just retain a lawyer and have them deal with it.
  2. Is your barrel a bushing barrel? That's probably why it is 1/2x28. KKM does make 11/16x40 but on bull barrels: https://www.speedshooter.com/product/kkm-precision-match-barrels/ I've had great work recently done with Jeff at Tommyguns. Maybe contact him and see if he can fabricate a custom comp if you are set on the 1/2x28 thread pattern. Another option is to see if EGW can help, for their bushing comps it's 575x40. See if they will sell you a blank that you thread it yourself or they will do a custom one. Hope this helps.
  3. Aloha OnVacation. Just had slide/barrel work done with Jeff Abernathy (aka Tommy Guns) and as with many here on the forum he's highly recommended. Prompt communications, excellent machine work, and quickly completed. Mahalo
  4. I think on the 'old style' frames the width is too narrow to machine for a picatinny rail. I'd imagine that you could take a blank from EGW (something like: https://www.egwguns.com/egw-scope-mount-extrusion-drops-gunsmith-action-ipsc or https://www.egwguns.com/16-wide-base-unanodized-picatinny-rail-scope-mount ) and drill holes in your 2011 to attach it. Another option is Caspian ( https://www.caspianarms.com/productdisplay/recon-light-rail-stainless ) it's made for a single stack so not sure if it's work as the 2011's contour of the dust cover is more flat/wide than the rounded surface of a 1911. The trouble with attaching a EGW blank will be your holster fit if it hangs too far off the frame. Maybe talk to EGW and see what they recommend or how much you can cut off of it.
  5. Midwest Optics has the 5moa in stock: https://midwestoptics.net/product/trijicon-sro-5-0-moa/
  6. I wanted to order from HeartofTexasArmory since others had a great experience but I wasn't fast enough and it went oos on their site. Primary Arms IMO has always been quick to ship out and great to deal with. Enjoy your SRO TheDonald!
  7. Primary Arms has the 5 MOA in stock and doing a 12% off 'SAVE12' code: https://www.primaryarms.com/trijicon-sro-sight-adjustable-led-5.0-moa-red-dot
  8. Looks your builder didn't intall a Vario X-Line as your pics shows a BUL Armory Modular trigger. I have a LSI grip, the STI branded trigger was loose. The X-Line (ordered from Atlas) dropped in with very little play.
  9. If you are looking to mount a red dot on the slide, Atlas is making them with their optic plate system.
  10. Infinity is running a special on the new Noblex (Docter Optics) NV G, anyone have one and would like to share their thoughts on it? Thanks!
  11. Speed Shooter's Intl has the Brazos bald unique and classic slides ( https://speedshooter.com/product-category/slides/ ). Jem is really good but not sure on what they have in stock ( https://www.jemguns.com/Custom-Slides_c_15.html ) Tripp is also making slides, Shooter's Connection has a classic bald slide ( https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/9mm38-Slides-C938.aspx ) Another option would be Remsport: https://www.tr-enabling.com/product-p/sl-g-c-9-000-00-00.htm Atlas started selling slides but they are out of 9mm bald slides but you might want to call them to check availability ( https://atlasgunworks.com/product-category/slides ) For hybrid barrels, have you looked at SV/Infinity ( https://sviguns.com )? You can order the slide cut for their ribbed barrels (it's a $73.12 option). I ordered a hybrid barrel and spec'd out a slide from them on Sept 5th and it's being delivered on Monday. Keep in mind that the new SV/Infinity slides have a proprietary breechface with integrated extractor now. Hope this helps. Hope this helps.
  12. For machining the tri-top, check out Gan's: http://www.gansguns.com/PriceListlRevhtml.html
  13. Back in January Glenn at LSI posted some pics of his left handed grip. Not sure of availability but like others have mentioned best to email him for more info.
